It comes after a major broadband provider introduced a new £60 charge and issued a deadline to act. Whether it is discovering a free treat or landing the ultimate prize of a year's worth of groceries, we wanted to create something fun, surprising and rewarding for our More Card members. MORRISONS loyalty scheme shoppers have been left fuming after an outage hit the retailer leaving customers overcharged. The supermarket chain's More Card has gone down meaning customers can't access discounts and bonus points. 1 A sign in one store put up by staff has said there is a "company wide" issue with the More Cards points system, adding accounts will be credited within 72 hours for any lost points or discounts. Shoppers have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to fume about the technical issues. One said: "Morrisons when ur More Card ain't working don't try give it back in points and then tell me I'm not allowed a refund on my money. Terrible service." A second said: "Morrisons my wife just did a £100 shop and told that due to an issue with the app the More Card offers wouldn't come off immediately. "But she's been overcharged by £14 even though many offers aren't even linked to the card. She's continually having to go back to the store. Bad." A third commented: "Morrisons just been into your Bedford store. "After paying for my shopping, the lady at self scan told me that More Card isn't working today. "There were a few items that I should have received discount on, whilst no extra points were added for some I purchased." Meanwhile, a source told The Sun they had been charged £14.25 for two packs of beer that should have cost £10 under More Card pricing. The Sun has asked Morrisons when the outage started, what is causing it and if customers will be compensated and we will update this story when we've heard back. It's not the first time in recent months Morrisons has been hit with technical issues, with shoppers left grumbling over the knock-on effects. The software system used by the retailer to control its supply chain was hit by hackers in November. The malware attack led to a number of key items including fruit, veg and other fresh products at branches and online missing from shelves. It was understood dried and frozen goods were unaffected by the malware attack with stock levels as per normal. In December, deliveries were cancelled or delayed after the supermarket was hit by a tech glitch. One of the UK's biggest supermarket chains told shoppers its click and collect and home deliveries would be delayed because of the issues.
