Reese's and Oreo launch historic collaboration with two new products
Oreo, Reese's team up for rare collab despite rival parent companies. New treat blends both flavours, capitalizing on consumer demand and creating buzz.
Two beloved North American snack food brands are joining forces in what some fans are calling a 'dream collaboration.' Hershey's Reese's and Mondelez's Oreo have announced the launch of two new products: the Reese's Oreo Cup and the Oreo Reese's Cookie, combining the signature flavours of peanut butter and cookies & cream in one treat.

The partnership, confirmed in a July 30 news release, comes after years of social media buzz, with fans experimenting by twisting, dipping and stacking the two snacks together. Both brands say the new products are a direct response to consumer demand.
'This collaboration redefines what it means to be a snacking leader by tapping into exactly what our fans are asking for,' said Michelle Deignan, Vice President of the Oreo brand in the U.S., in Hershey's news release. 'At Oreo, we're always striving to break into the cultural conversation with unexpected and delicious partnerships for fans.'
Dan Mohnshine, Vice President of U.S. Confection Marketing at The Hershey Company, echoed the sentiment.
'At Reese's, we're obsessed with pushing the boundaries of what chocolate and peanut butter can become – and our fans fuel that fire,' he said. 'When we heard the incredible demand for a Reese's and Oreo mashup, we knew we had to make magic happen.'
What's in the new products?
The Oreo Reese's Cookie features the classic Oreo chocolate wafer filled with a Reese's peanut butter creme mixed with Oreo cookie crumbs.

The collaboration follows a trend of high-profile food partnerships, including last year's Coca-Cola x Oreo crossover.
How and when to get them
Both products will be available for presale in the U.S. starting August 18.
The treats will hit store shelves across North America in September 2025, though their availability differs slightly:
The Reese's Oreo Cup will be a permanent addition to the Reese's lineup, sold in king size, standard, and miniature versions.
The Oreo Reese's Cookie will be a limited-time release at first, with plans to return as a permanent item in January 2026.
CTV News has reached out to Hershey to confirm the specific product availability in Canada, but those messages have not yet been returned.
Customer reaction has been positive
Fans have already taken to social media to celebrate the news, with many calling it the 'collab of the year.'

Scott Moe speaks out against AI ‘deepfakes' of him circulating online
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe listens to a question from the media during the 2025 summer meetings of Canada's Premiers at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ont., on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Nathan Denette Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says his government is doing whatever it can to track down the creators of so-called 'deepfakes' of him and other prominent figures. Moe's likeness, including his voice, has been used in online video ads for cryptocurrency schemes that he says he would never endorse. The premier says on his official social media that some of the videos, which are created with artificial intelligence, feature him and others, including Prime Minister Mark Carney. Moe says his government is doing its best to find the people behind the videos, but adds it can be difficult to prevent the scams. It's not the first time Moe's image has been used to market the scams — he first acknowledged them in March. Saskatchewan's consumer watchdog has been issuing warnings about the impersonation scams and urges people not to send money to companies that aren't registered in the province. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Aug. 4, 2025.
