The ultimate guide to Taylor Swift graded collectibles: cards, signed albums, and one-of-a-kind memorabilia
Taylor Swift joined her boyfriend's podcast this week to announce her new album, delivering a welcome surprise in what had been a quiet offseason for the couple. Her boyfriend, who, incidentally, plays professional football for the Kansas City Chiefs, co-hosts a popular podcast with his brother. It turns out the break wasn't downtime after all, at least not for Taylor Swift. The new album announcement quickly took over all of the internet. And in today's collecting world, big cultural moments don't just live on streaming platforms or social media feeds, they're immortalized in collectibles. Trading cards and PSA-graded pieces are no longer reserved for sports and Pokémon fans. The Rolling Stones recently launched a Panini trading card set complete with band autographs and Color Blast inserts familiar to sports collectors. Movie and TV tie-ins are booming too, with popular sets celebrating everything from Star Wars to Stranger Things. Leaf's Pop Century remains one of the hobby's most sought-after non-sports releases, delivering autographs from celebrities across music, film, and beyond. So where are the Taylor Swift cards? A few do exist, just not as many as you might expect. Let's dive into the world of Taylor Swift trading cards, autographs, and other memorabilia making waves in the hobby. Taylor Swift custom cards There is perhaps no bigger tell that the hobby is clamoring for Taylor Swift cards than the sheer number of custom cards on eBay. You can find them from $5 to $50, many of which copy — 'plagiarize' may be more accurate — popular sports cards inserts. Buy on eBay | Ranges from ~$5 to $50 Taylor Swift authenticated cut autograph cards As close to licensed autographs as fans can get right now, there are a slew of hand-cut autos either authenticated by eBay or produced by Leaf in their 2021 Pop Century set. The BGS authentication verifies that the signature is legitimate, and when paired with the custom design, it makes for a fun addition to any collector's mantelpiece. Buy on eBay | Ranges from ~$90 to ~$500 2011 Topps American Pie #196 Kanye West/Taylor Swift Taylor's first official Topps card commemorates the infamous VMA moment. PSA 10 versions of this card sell for over $500 with the foil version selling for over $1,000 in high grades. At the moment, for non-auto Taylor memorabilia, this is the gold standard for pop culture collectors. Buy on eBay | PSA 10 ~$500 Femme Force: Taylor Swift comic TidalWave Comics publishes a biographical series called Female Force, spotlighting notable women from various fields. One installment centers on Taylor Swift, detailing her musical journey, influence on her audience, and philanthropic efforts. Special editions were also produced, including a foil-cover variant autographed by the illustrator. Buy on eBay | Ranges from ~$10 to ~$300 depending on Variant Nashville 2006 self-promo card Taylor apparently gave this promo card away on the streets of Nashville in 2006 to promote her first single and Myspace account when she was just starting out. Sports Card Investor Geoff Wilson posted this pickup back in 2023. Taylor Swift | Travis Kelce PiggyBanx "Taylor Made" Good 2 1st Edition Razz Refractor #1/1 with case During the hype of Taylor and Travis last year, PiggyBanx released this 1/1 'Taylor Made' custom card that sold for $1000 on Pristine Auctions. Graded Taylor Swift signed albums Graded Taylor Swift signed albums gained traction last year and have continued to grow in popularity. The sheer number of fakes out there make graded copies of this collectible very desirable. Buy on eBay | Ranges from $400 - $1,000 Topps Chrome Garbage Pail Kids 2017, 2022, and 2024 tributes Calling any GPK card a tribute is perhaps a bit unfair but they have been crafting fun cards of Swift for nearly a decade. Base versions of these cards sell for less than $10 with the numbered and graded versions selling for hundreds. Buy on eBay | Base version ~$8 Taylor Swift's reach is global, and her collectibles reflect that same worldwide appeal. From rare signed albums to custom cards, her memorabilia connects fans across borders and hobbies. As she continues to be a global superpower you can expect to see the volume, and value, of her collectibles increase alongside her starpower. Taylor Swift Breaks A Record Previously Held By Trump, And She Did It In Just An Hour
We're sure there will be bad blood. Taylor Swift has broken a record previously held by President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the Grammy winner appeared on the 'New Heights' podcast hand-in-hand with her boyfriend and co-host Travis Kelce, as his older brother, Jason Kelce, interviewed Swift for a little over two hours. The Daily Beast reports that 1.3 million viewers tuned to watch the podcast episode on YouTube within the first hour that it was online. The outlet notes that reps for the 'Shake It Off' singer confirmed the number. The figure trumps the record previously held by Trump. His appearance on the 'Joe Rogan Experience' in October 2024 saw 800,000 people tune in within the first hour, according to CNN data analyst Harry Enten. CNN host Kate Bolduan also noted Wednesday the episode is 'already on track to become one of the most watched podcasts of all time.' Trump will likely be pretty peeved about Swift mopping him up. The president expressed hostility towards the 'Blank Space' singer after she publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the build-up to the 2024 presidential election. 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' he wrote in all caps on his Truth Social platform at the time. In May, the president proved he was no Swiftie yet again when he published another post on Truth Social that read: 'Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'' We suppose that at least 1.3 million people think otherwise. Taylor Swift just gave her longest interview ever. Here's what we learned
Taylor Swift is back in the spotlight for the first time since wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour last year, and the internet is losing its mind. The pop superstar made her podcast debut on Wednesday, Aug. 13, for an episode of 'New Heights,' hosted by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. 'This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago,' Swift quipped, referring to the football player shooting his shot on the show after attending an Eras Tour show in Kansas City. During the nearly two hour-long episode — the Grammy winner's longest interview to date — Swift chatted with the Kelce brothers about everything from her first Chiefs game to post-tour hobbies like sewing, baking and watching football. But for her fans tuning in around the globe, it was what she revealed about her forthcoming studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,' that was most exhilarating. Due out Oct. 3, Swift also unveiled her 12th studio album's art and tracklist. Streaming live on YouTube on Wednesday, the episode drew more than 1 million viewers — enough to briefly crash the feed — and set a record for most concurrent views on the platform for a podcast. The story behind how Taylor Swift secured her masters After wrapping up the Eras Tour, the singer said that she and her team decided to approach the private equity firm Shamrock Capital, which owned her masters at the time, about if they'd be willing to sell. 'I'm in the business of human emotion. I would so much rather lead heart-first in something like this, rather than send lawyers or management in a big crew,' she explained. So she deployed her family: 'I sent my mom and my brother, who I work with, to L.A.' Their mission was successful, she confirmed in May, and Swift was able to purchase the rights to her first six albums. She got teary-eyed opening up about the process for the first time on 'New Heights.' 'It's a couple months after the Super Bowl, I'm in Kansas City and I get a call from my mom. … She's like, 'You got your music,'' Swift recalled. 'I just very dramatically hit the floor for real. Honestly started bawling my eyes out, just weeping.' She said she immediately went to tell Travis, who was in the other room playing video games. 'I started crying too,' the Super Bowl champ chimed in. 'You know I'm a crier.' 'The Life of a Showgirl' was written during the Eras Tour During her days off in between three-and-a-half hour concert performances, Swift said she would meet up with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback to work on the new record. She previously worked with the two on '1989,' 'Reputation' and 'Red.' 'I would do like three shows in a row, I'd have three days off, I'd fly to Sweden,' she said, noting that she exclusively made the record in the Scandinavian country. 'I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.' She previously wrote and released her 11th studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' while also on the Eras Tour. The new album reflects the joy in her life 'My main goals were melodies that were so infectious that you're almost angry at it, and lyrics that are just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional,' she said. She added that she and her collaborators specially spoke about preserving the storytelling elements of 2020's 'Folklore. Travis Kelce, who said he has already listened to the full album, teased that the new record is packed with 'upbeat, fun pop.' 'This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour,' Swift said. 'It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervescence has come through on this record.' 'The Life of a Showgirl' features only one guest artist Near the end of the interview, Swift showed off the front and back cover of her forthcoming record, reading out the 12-song tracklist as the Kelce brothers reacted. The big surprise: 'Espresso' singer Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the closing title track. The former Disney star previously opened for select dates of Swift's Eras Tour. Other 'The Life of a Showgirl' song titles include 'Elizabeth Taylor,' 'Father Figure' and 'CANCELLED!' There will be no bonus tracks Swifties know that the singer-songwriter has a penchant for treating fans with a variety of surprise material, whether it be the vault tracks off her re-recorded albums or the 31-song edition of 'The Tortured Poets Department,' titled 'The Anthology.' This time around, however, there will be no bonus tracks. 'I tend to love to write lots and lots of music, so it's a temptation to release lots of music,' she admitted. But with 'The Life of a Showgirl', Swift said she 'wanted to do an album that was so focused on quality and on the theme and everything fitting together like a perfect puzzle.' Taylor Swift is in her Sourdough Era Now that her tour is over, Swift is enjoying some rare downtime and rediscovering her hobbies. 'The sourdough's taken over my life in a huge way. I'm really talking about bread 60% of the time,' Swift said. 'There are sourdough blogs. There's a whole community of us.' She added that she's also been sewing baby clothes and blankets for Jason's young children. NFL players and pop stars aren't that different 'On paper, we actually kind of have a very similar job,' Swift said of her and Travis' careers. 'Our job is to entertain people for three-plus hours in NFL stadiums. When I'm there, it's called a dressing room; when Travis is there, it's called a locker room.' She and Travis bonded over their post-game/post-show rituals, with her beau joking that Swift may even do more recovery prep than him.
