Bad news for Reputation fans? Taylor Swift buys back her masters

Taylor Swift has revealed she has acquired the master recordings of her first six albums, calling it her 'greatest dream come true' in an emotional statement. Music mogul Scooter Braun, Swift's longtime nemesis, initially gained ownership of her six-album catalogue in 2019. Swift claimed she had begged to buy her own work outright, but was denied the chance. The pop star has since meticulously re-recorded and released four of the six albums, marketing them as "Taylor's Version". Fans have been eagerly anticipating the re-recording of Swift's fifth album, Reputation, but the singer has now admitted "I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it" and hinted it may not be released. Swift credited her fans' support for the success of the Eras Tour and the re-recorded albums as instrumental in her being able to buy back her music.
