Jessica Simpson's, 44, daughter Maxwell, 13, towers over her mom as they are seen at airport amid divorce

Daily Mail30-04-2025
's 13-year-old daughter Maxwell towered over her amid her divorce from Eric Johnson.
The 44-year-old - who sent the tongues of fans wagging in a recent racy shoot - was seen at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday with her eldest daughter and mom Tina Ann Drew, 65.
Maxwell already looks taller than her famous 5feet3 mother as they stood in line to check-in at the terminal and travel hub.
Jessica looked every bit the celebrity as she sported a leopard patterned fur coat and large designer shades at the airport.
Her blonde locks were worn down in a middle-part as she donned a full face of make-up topped off with shiny pink lip.
Maxwell donned a pink hoodie as she held onto a black coat and a pair of Apple AirPods Max over-the-ear headphones.
Jessica Simpson 's 13-year-old daughter Maxwell towered over her as they were seen at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday
This comes weeks after Jessica and her other mini-me daughter Birdie modeled matching swimsuits to promote the star's new line which dropped at Walmart.
The Dukes Of Hazzard actress - who was recently called out by trolls over her very plump lips - uploaded fun photos to Instagram Friday to show off pieces from the latest spring collection.
In one picture, the TV personality and her youngest child, six, posed next to each other while standing on a wooden deck.
Simpson donned a yellow, one-piece swimsuit with a plunging neckline on the front which can be purchased on the retailer's main website for $20.
Birdie - who has previously appeared in campaigns for Jessica's clothing brand - wore a cutout swimsuit in the same mango-colored shade which is priced at $14.
The mom-of-three slipped into a pair of dark red cowboy boots while her daughter wore a pair of pink boots.
In another image, Simpson - who celebrated Birdie's sixth birthday last month - continued to model the stylish one-piece while sitting on top of a wooden picnic table.
She accessorized the look with chained necklaces as well as flashy bracelets on each of her wrists.
Jessica's makeup was glammed up for the snaps and comprised of voluminous lashes and smoky shadow around her eyes.
Simpson continued to showcase other items from the collection and flaunted her toned figure in a $20 black ruffled bikini top as well as $16 coverup shorts.
The singer - who notably dropped 100lbs amid her weight loss journey - also slipped into a pair of open-toed heels.
Jessica gushed about having the chance to work with Birdie in the campaign.
'Being on set with my Birdie was so special!' she penned. 'There's just something magical about seeing my kids in front of the camera.
'It's beautiful to witness the confidence and playfulness my kids give in the moment. We had so much fun together. Birdie is a little ham!'
Simpson told her followers that the six-year-old 'loves to be in the center of it all' and sweetly added, 'look out for this little lady, world!
'My kiddos make everything so real and authentic, which is exactly how I want my brand to be, so having them as part of it feels natural to me.'
The actress concluded with, 'As for matching - it happens pretty often by accident, honestly. We seem to coordinate without even trying! I also love a good mommy-and-me look, and it's so cute when we can make it happen.'
Jessica shares Birdie as well as Maxwell, 12, and Ace, 11, with estranged husband Eric Johnson. After tying the knot in 2014, the actress announced their split earlier this year in January.
Back in 2020, both Birdie - who was a baby at the time - and Maxwell joined their mother in a campaign for her clothing brand.
During an interview with People published on Friday, Jessica opened up about the new spring collection that is currently available at Walmart.
'For me, personally, style evolves as I do on a personal level, through each stage of my life.'
She added, 'That's the inspiration for my music right now...[her new album] Nashville Canyon is an evolution of past, present, future, versatility, femininity, openness and confidence.'
The TV personality officially dropped the EP last month on March 21 - which contains a total of five tracks including Use My Heart Against Me and Blame Me.
'I'm loving our florals and crochet details for all the spring flings and things! The swimsuits and sunnies are for a poolside day with the kids or lunch out with friends,' the star added of the collection.
'I wouldn't miss out on our denim separates. They are staple pieces year round,' she further said while adding that the line is 'joyful and gives sunny happy vibes.
'I absolutely do dress to boost my mood. When I wear something that feels really good, it lifts my energy, and that's what I want to give to everyone who wears the JS Collection.'
The line is described as 'Sunny Cali-boho with Texas charm' - and offers items such as swimwear, denim pieces, dresses and accessories.
It comes shortly after Simpson was seen reuniting with estranged husband Eric Johnson earlier this week on Monday just months after announcing their shock split.
During the outing, the pair were joined by their three children as well as who appeared to be Johnson's parents.
On her latest EP, the star seemingly hinted that Eric may have cheated on her in the track titled Leave.
Some of the lyrics included: 'What we had was magic/Now you've made it tragic/Giving her what you gave to me/ Now the well that you drank from is empty.'
Jessica also belted out, 'Your weakness made me lonely/Unholy matrimony/Did you do to her what you did to me/Was she on her knees/She's everything but me.'
In January, the singer announced her split from Johnson in a statement to People and shared: 'Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage.
'Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.'
During an interview with People last month, she gave an update on their split and said, 'I've grown up so much. I can handle so much. Maybe I'm just meant to love a lot of people in my life.'
The blonde beauty then told the outlet: 'I don't know why my heart gets tossed around but I'm one of the lucky ones. At least I have my children and I still have Eric. He's still very much a part of my life and will always be.'
In regards to creating the album, Simpson explained, 'Discovering this music is something I did on my own.
'Thank God I had Nashville, it was just a way of me owning myself and declaring it,' the Dukes Of Hazzard actress continued.

'I ate at McDonald's in Japan and biggest surprise wasn't menu differences'

A British tourist decided to eat at McDonald's while visiting Japan, and while she was blown away by all the differences on the menu, the biggest surprise to her was something else entirely A tourist who visited a McDonald's restaurant in Japan was left gobsmacked by the differences to the ones in the UK. The fast food giant operates in over 100 countries, with over 38,000 locations. In each country they have subtle differences to reflect different tastes and local traditions, but in Japan it wasn't the menu that was the biggest surprise to the tourist. ‌ Travel content creator Jessica Jayne Turner has recently been sharing unique insights into her trip to Japan. In one of her recent TikTok clips, Jessica shared what is was like to eat at the fast food chain in Tokyo, Japan, which she said was on a completely "different level". Taking a look at the self service machine, she showed there were quite a few items she'd never seen before. These included the Bai Shrimp File-O, Bai Teriyaki Chicken Filet-O and a Cheese and Bacon Potato Pie. ‌ Maccies fans can also order Edamame & Corn as a side, as well as Shaka-Chicki and Garlic & Cheese Sauce. Jessica decided to try some of the "unique" things, and her order came to about £14.42. ‌ First she tried the Edamame & Corn, which she was surprised to see on the menu as it seems "healthy". "It actually tastes pretty good but it just feels so strange to eat it at McDonald's. [I'm] not actually sure how I feel about it," Jessica continued. Next, Jessica tried the Shaka Chicken which she said was "basically like a giant chicken nugget". She explained that they give you a sachet of Cheddar Cheese to sprinkle over it, and then you shake it. "It basically turns into a cheesy chicken nugget. It's nice and crispy but I'm going to be honest, the cheese does taste a bit artificial." Jessica said the barbecue sauce was "amazing" and the mustard sauce "tasted great". Then, she tried the Cheese and Bacon Potato Pie, which she said looks similar to the Apple Pies in the UK. "The inside of this tastes identical to a chicken pie. I love the flavour. This is probably one of my favourite things that I got," she added. The content creator also got some standard chicken nuggets, which she admitted tasted similar to the UK, but she "loved" the sauces you could get with them - barbecue and mustard sauce. After also eating some of a Big Mac, which she ordered in case she didn't like the other things she ordered, Jessica finished the meal off with a McFlurry. The one she ordered was "smothered" in strawberries and chocolate, and they didn't "skimp on the toppings". Jessica also admitted that it wasn't the menu that surprised her most about the McDonald's restaurants in Japan - was "how clean" the restaurants were. "The kitchen actually looks spotless," she added. And Jessica isn't the only one to notice this. Posting to the Destination Japan Facebook group, one tourist said: "What stood out even more to me was their attention to hygiene. While I obviously don't know what happens behind the scenes in the kitchen, the way they handle food and maintain cleanliness during serving is very noticeable. Everything from the counters to the packaging felt clean and well-managed, which make the overall experience even better."

Jessica Simpson shares sexy bikini flashback video while announcing Las Vegas concert

made a big announcement this week. The 45-year-old singer will be performing in Las Vegas for one night only later this year. The Texas native will perform at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on November 8. Pre-sale tickets will become available at 10am PT on Friday, August 15, ahead of the general sale on Monday, August 18. The concert was announced as Jessica prepares for the release of the second part of her EP, Nashville Canyon, which arrives on September 5. The blonde is continuing her comeback in the music industry after recently returning to the stage for the first time in 15 years. This comes just as Jessica shared an old video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her hit 2005 movie Dukes Of Hazzard, which is based on the 1970s-1980s TV series of the same name. The singer looked incredible in her blue denim cut-off Daisy Duke shorts with a shirt as she danced in a bar. There were also scenes where she was in a pink string bikini while washing a car. Last month the performer was seen on the Today show shortly after dropping a new single titled Fade. However, Simpson had a wardrobe malfunction when her taupe dress slipped down her cleavage - showing off her pink bra. Ordinarily the corset style dress would cover the entirety of her bust, but the frock struggled to adhere to her dress. Video of the performance shows Jessica singing through the wardrobe mishap, either unaware of or not minding that accidental bra flash. But the newly-single star didn't let the embarrassing mishap ruin her day as she even cracked a joke about it with the Today show correspondents. 'How does it feel back on the stage, the first release in 15 years?' NBC News journalist Peter Alexander asked Simpson. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jessica Simpson (@jessicasimpson) 'It's insane! Of course, like I had a malfunction here,' she said, gesturing her hand beside her head, 'and everywhere, but it's ok! I think my boob's stayed in, so that's good!' she quipped. The wardrobe mishap wasn't Jessica's only head-turning moment during her Today appearance. Simpson also took a swipe at her dating history while sharing her list of relationship non-negotiables during an interview with host Jenna Bush Hager. When asked what she is looking for in her next partner, the singer and entrepreneur shared the criteria she's looking for in a man. 'My type of person is a one-of-a-kind,' she gushed. 'I don't have like, a look or anything like that. I just like for somebody to be individually who they are and exude confidence without the ego.' The performer, who split from Eric Johnson after 10 years of marriage earlier this year, explained she's had trouble finding someone self-assured, but not cocky. 'I feel like it's out there, and I don't need somebody to be supportive of me all the time,' the mother-of-three added. 'I feel like the independence I have right now, if I can have that and give it to someone else, that would be cool.' Her comment about wanting 'confidence without the ego' seemed to point to her rocky relationship with first husband Nick Lachey. During her Today interview, Simpson also noted that she has no plans to walk down the aisle, but is 'very passionate' and has 'a lot to give.' Simpson also emphasized that whoever she dates next has to be 'a very good kisser.' 'See, that's like the most intimate thing. Grab my face and pull me in! Can you tell I need it?' the I Wanna Love You Forever hitmaker mused.

Wrestling with identity, rage, and resilience, this solo show delivers a body slam of emotional truth and biting humour. Big Red Orange: Ivo Graham: Orange Crush Ivo Graham may have sworn off the Fringe, but he's back, draped in orange and ready to riff on adolescence, awkwardness, and that elusive comeback tour energy. Charming, sharp, and chaotically self-aware, this show is a tangy slice of stand-up gold. Ivo Graham: Orange Crush Yellow: Chrome Yellow Ever tried to walk 650 miles to escape your own mind? Wayne Stewart did, and turned it into Chrome Yellow, a funny, reflective and poignant solo show about pilgrimage, and the long road to self-discovery. Like a burst of sunlight with boots on. Green: The Green Knight (But It's Gay) The Green Knight (But It's Gay) Sir Gawain, but with more eyeliner and queer sexual tension. Blue: Born Blue A touching blend of stand-up and music, Wes McClintock's Born Blue tackles identity, family dysfunction, and finding yourself when you're 'a different colour' than everyone around you. Moving, absurd, and somehow hilariously relatable. Born Blue Pink: Diona Doherty: Get Your Pink Back! From Derry Girls to her Fringe debut, Diona Doherty brings warmth, wit, and wild stories about motherhood, burnout, and reclaiming your sparkle. A feel-good hour that's both empowering and laugh-out-loud funny. Diona Doherty: Get Your Pink Back! Grey: Grey For fans of history, heartbreak, and poetic theatre, Grey tells the story of Lady Jane Grey, the nine-day queen awaiting her fate in the Tower of London. Haunting, lyrical, and steeped in feminine sorrow and strength. Gold: Gooder Than Gold After her father's death, Tressa spirals into chaos, and now she's ready to confess everything, through story, song, and sharp Appalachian wit. Gooder Than Gold is a raw, irreverent live-action memoir that blurs the line between eulogy and reckoning, inviting audiences to laugh, cry, and maybe even wail in Walmart. Related topics: RED
