Two youths caught with stolen bike during vehicle checking drive
Indore: In a special vehicle checking drive, Indore traffic police arrested two youths with a stolen motorcycle and handed them over to the concerned police station.
On Friday, around 10:45 AM, during a special checking operation at Radisson Square led by ACP (Traffic Zone-2) Manoj Khatri, traffic sub-inspector ML Ahirwar and his team noticed two youths coming from Bombay Hospital side on their bikes.
One of the riders was seen pushing a numberless bike, as if it broke down, this immediately raised suspicion. They were intercepted by constables Sona and Sonu Prajapati, who then informed SI Ahirwar.
The rider was unable to produce valid documents of the vehicle, prompting the officers to verify the chassis number using the VDP app. The verification revealed that the bike was reported stolen under section 379 from Kshipra police station, with the complaint lodged by Babulal on June 6, 2024.
The stolen vehicle was seized and later handed over to Khajrana police station. The apprehended individuals were identified as Deependra, resident of Barua village in Chhatarpur district and Monu Yadav, a resident of Ramgarh Khurd village in Guna district.

With 41 jets destroyed, including some of Moscow's most advanced aircraft, the strike embarrassed the Kremlin and exposed shocking vulnerabilities in Russian air defense. The attack is being hailed in Kyiv as a breakthrough moment in the war. But the celebration is shadowed by a much darker possibility – massive retaliation. Although there is no official confirmation so far, reports suggest that Russia has secretly moved its most destructive assets into launch-ready positions. Nicknamed 'Satan II', the RS-28 Sarmat is an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying up to 15 nuclear warheads and reaching targets as far as 16,000 kilometers away (anywhere on Earth). Its older sibling, the Satan-2, is not far behind in destructive power. Designed to obliterate entire cities, these missiles are engineered for impact as well as domination. 'If Putin chooses to press the nuclear button, the consequences will be irreversible. Even a limited strike would plunge Europe, and potentially the world, into a crisis unseen since World War II,' warned a former NATO strategist. Beyond its nuclear inventory, Russia's conventional arsenal remains formidable. Hypersonic missiles, cruise weapons and elite fighters like the Su-57 and Su-35 give Moscow the tools for a savage response – with or without nukes. But it is the mere presence of nuclear weapons that changes the game. Russia's stockpile includes both strategic warheads meant for global targets and tactical ones designed for battlefield use – a grey area that could tempt the Kremlin to send a 'message' without sparking full-scale Armageddon. Pressure Mounts in Moscow Inside the Kremlin, pressure is reportedly mounting on Putin to strike back hard. The drone attack has sparked outrage among military hardliners – many of whom see restraint as weakness. With each passing hour, speculation grows over whether Russia will escalate this war to an unthinkable level. 'The fear is not about what Russia can do. It is about what it might do when its back is against the wall,' said a senior European diplomat. The world watches and waits for now. But with missiles possibly being readied and rhetoric growing sharper, the war in Ukraine may be hurtling toward a new and far more dangerous phase.

2,110 passengers penalised for violations of railway rules in ECR till May 31
Patna: Aimed at improving punctuality of passenger trains and ensuring women's safety, the East Central Railway (ECR) conducted a special drive under 'samay palan' (punctuality) and 'mahila suraksha' (women's safety) across its five divisions from May 16 to May 31. The drive resulted in the penalisation of 2,110 passengers for violations under the Railway Act. According to ECR's chief public relations officer (CPRO), altogether 522 people were booked under Section 141 of the Railway Act for unauthorised alarm chain pulling (ACP), an offence that disrupts train services and causes unnecessary delays. Additionally, 1,588 persons were fined under Section 162 of the Railway Act for unlawfully entering or travelling in coaches reserved for women, he said. The Danapur division of the ECR emerged with the highest number of offenders, registering 238 ACP cases and 856 violations under the Mahila Suraksha drive, while Samastipur division followed with 112 ACP cases and 114 Mahila Suraksha violations, and Sonepur division recorded72 ACP and 306 Mahila Suraksha cases. Similarly Dhanbad division reported 51 ACP cases and 185 Mahila Suraksha violations, while Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) division registered 49 ACP cases and 127 Mahila Suraksha offences, the CPRO said. The CPRO said such drives are crucial to improve the travel experience as well as ensuring the safety of women passengers. "Our efforts are directed at enforcing discipline among passengers and creating a safer and more punctual railway environment," he said adding, the ECR plans to continue such drives periodically to deter unruly behaviour and maintain decorum across the railway network in the ECR jurisdiction .
