The numbers speak for themselves: more than 1,000 athletes from over 120 clubs and academies competed across various categories, supported daily by 25 referees and 40 volunteers.'The energy inside the arena, the professionalism on display, and the support from our community made this a truly special edition. We will be back soon with more exciting grappling events in the near future.'The championship featured youth, amateur, professional, and masters divisions across multiple weight classes, attracting a diverse field of under official AJP Tour regulations, the championship awarded 2,000 ranking points and cash prizes to winners, ensuring a high-performance environment throughout the terms of rankings, the Best Academy (Under-18) title went to the UAE's ADMA International, which secured 49,100 points. Samat Ramazanov Academy from Kazakhstan came second with 12,000 points, followed by Brazil's Melqui Galvao Academy with 8,000 the Best Academy (18+) category, it was an all-Emirati affair. Commando Group, ADMA International, and M.O.D UAE claimed the top three spots with 48,200, 31,640, and 29,360 points, respectively. In the country rankings, the UAE, Brazil, and Russia occupied the top three positions.

Del Toro, Ayuso land 1-2 in Spain for Team Emirates XRG

The 21-year-old Mexican launched a decisive attack on the steep Alto de Pike climb with 16.5km remaining, distancing the field and holding off the chase to seal a dominant win.'After a really hard day yesterday in San Sebastián, we find again the good legs like the last weeks,' said Del Toro. 'Yesterday was super good, and today also with the team, the guys are trying to fight super well. It is something I am very proud to be part of.''Thanks to the guys, me and Juan are able to fight [for the win] again, and try to do again first and second,' he added. 'It was a super nice day for us, we suffered with the heat and also with the level of the race, but we enjoyed today.'Del Toro's effort was backed up by a textbook team performance. UAE Team Emirates XRG had earlier taken control of the peloton, reining in a 10-man breakaway with strong turns from Marcos Freire, Domen Novak and Jay Vine. Their pace set the stage for a fierce finale as the race reached the base of the Alto de Pike (2km at 9.6%).Juan Ayuso set a brutal tempo on the climb, softening up the competition and paving the way for Del Toro's explosive move. By the summit, Del Toro had opened a 10-second gap. On the descent and across the final flat kilometres, Ayuso marked the chasers – first Alex Aranburu (Cofidis), and later Lidl-Trek riders Héctor Álvarez and Toms Skujiņš – as Del Toro maintained his slender the final uphill drag to the finish in Getxo, Ayuso outsprinted Aranburu to secure second place, ensuring a 1-2 finish for the Emirati team – its 69th win of the season. Mleiha Sports Club: Planning for a victorious future
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors; and attended by His Excellency Abdullah Salem Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and members of the Board of Directors. The meeting was held as part of the regular follow-up of the club's activities and programmes. It highlighted the results of the efforts made and outlined the ongoing preparations for the launch of the new 2025/2026 sports season, across both individual and team sports. Developing physical and technical performance of all teams The Board of Directors discussed the early preparations plan for the 2025-2026 sports season, which includes the continuation of internal and external training camps and programmes starting in early August. It also includes the adoption of a comprehensive programme to develop the physical and technical performance of all teams, in addition to focusing on enhancing the efficiency of technical and administrative staff through rehabilitation and training programmes. Strengthening the club's competitive base The board emphasised the importance of continuing to support individual and team sports, as they are sources of achievement and medals, in addition to expanding the participation of young people from the region in sports activities, in line with the directives of the Emirate of Sharjah. It also emphasised the activation of the scouting system to discover new talent in schools and the community and strengthen the club's competitive base. International representation The board's agenda included a detailed review of the sporting achievements of the club's teams during the past season. Individual sports saw remarkable excellence, culminating in advanced positions in federation championships. A number of the club's players also represented the country on national teams for age groups, reflecting the development of the players' technical and physical performance and highlighting the success of the implemented training programs. During the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors commended the significant support the Mleiha Club receives, which has directly contributed to strengthening its capabilities and creating the appropriate infrastructure and sports environment to develop talent and hone the skills of young people. In this context, the Board of Directors commended the distinguished activities of the Mleiha Club during the Sharjah Sports Summer, which included a range of sports, knowledge-based, and recreational programmes targeting various age groups from the region. Advanced workshops were organised in artificial intelligence, robotics, and programming during "I Am the Future" Week, in addition to sports workshops on self-defense skills, football, and interactive mental challenges. Activities also included several events and various competitions. Artificial intelligence and innovation In the context of enhancing knowledge exchange and raising the level of club members, the Board reviewed the participation of a distinguished delegation from Mleiha Club in the Artificial Intelligence Programme at Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the end of last July, under SSC umbrella. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest applications in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation and interact with scientists and researchers in an advanced scientific environment. This participation reflects the Club's vision of building a knowledge-based sports generation that possesses diverse skills and is able to meet the challenges of the future. Strengthening community partnerships At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Directors expressed its thanks and appreciation to all the technical and administrative departments, employees, and volunteers at the club for their dedicated efforts in implementing summer activities and programs and achieving honourable sporting achievements. The Board of Directors emphasised the need to continue working with a team spirit, strengthening community partnerships, and enhancing the club's institutional performance in line with the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah to make Mleiha Club a leading sporting and cultural model at the national and regional levels .
