DES MOINES, Iowa — Viewers now have a new way to enjoy WHO 13 News!
Our station has launched a free streaming app available on Amazon Fire, Roku, and Apple TV. The TV streaming app allows viewers to watch all of our newscasts, Hello Iowa, and SoundOFF in real time, no more two-hour delay! Viewers can also watch on-demand videos highlighting sports, local news, and more.
Amazon Fire: Press the 'home' button on your remote. In the upper left corner of the menu you'll see a magnifying glass icon, click it. Then, search for WHO 13+ and click download.
Roku: Press the 'home' button on your remote to open the menu. Scroll down the menu until you find the streaming store. When you open the store, search for WHO 13+ and click download.
Apple TV: Open the Apple TV App Store app. When opened, search for WHO 13+ and then click the 'get' button to download.
Great news! Viewers who don't have Amazon Fire, Roku, or Apple TV can watch our newscasts, Hello Iowa, and SoundOFF live on our website and our app.

REMEMBERING ONE OF THEIR OWN: Volunteer, wildland firefighters turn out in force to remember Chief David Warfel
HALIFAX, Pa. (WHTM) — Firefighters from across the area came together Friday to pay last respects to a chief who lived life fighting fires and serving his community. David Warfel died last week at a wildland fire training academy in Cumberland County. A longtime firefighter in the Halifax and Powells Valley area, he was most recently chief at the Carsonville Fire Company in upper Dauphin County. His company remembered him as 'always a cheerful, musical, funny guy.' He was also Forest District Maintenance Supervisor at the Weiser State Forest, working for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in the Bureau of Forestry. The Bureau of Forestry, which houses DCNR's wildland firefighting outfit, came out in force to remember one of their own as dozens of their white and green wildland fire trucks joined in a procession at Halifax High School. At Riverview Memorial Gardens, aerial apparatus from Lykens and Millersburg draped a flag over a ladder archway under which the procession passed. 'Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dave was a cherished colleague and friend,' DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn said shortly after his passing. 'His camaraderie, integrity, and kindness enriched the lives of all who had the privilege to work alongside him. The entire DCNR family mourns this tremendous loss and extends heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.' New, free shuttle coming to downtown Overland Park this summer
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The city of Overland Park announced that a new means of transportation will soon arrive in its historic downtown. According to the city, starting on Saturday, residents and visitors will be able to catch a free ride on the circulator shuttle, which will take passengers from City Hall to the heart of downtown Overland Park. New comedy club opening at the Legends Outlets this month The shuttle will run every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. until July 26. The city says the new addition offers visitors easier access to downtown, allowing them to spend more time at the farmers' market and local businesses. 'This shuttle service makes visiting Downtown OP even easier,' Mayor Curt Skoog said in a statement. 'It's my hope that visitors and residents will come for the Farmers' Market and stay for our wonderful downtown shops and restaurants before hopping a ride home.' The shuttle's route will start and end at City Hall; however, there will be four stops in between: Overland Park City Hall at 85th and Antioch Santa Fe Drive at Clock Tower Plaza 79th and Marty Mid-block between 79th and 80th on Floyd 80th and Marty It will arrive every 15 minutes at these locations, and riders can get on and off at any stop. Video taken inside Kauffman Stadium during severe storms Tuesday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Severe thunderstorms moved across the Kansas City area Tuesday afternoon. High winds and heavy rain hit both sides of the state line, along with multiple tornado warnings. Video shared on the social media platform X by poster @QUINSWARTZ showed what the storm looked like inside Kauffman Stadium. The grounds crew has been putting in new sod in the outfield this week. Outside the stadium, a light pole was knocked down and port-a-potties were blown over. At this time, no major damage has been reported at Kauffman or Arrowhead stadiums. The storms have also left thousands of Evergy customers without power in the metro.
