Bachelor host Osher Günsberg finally breaks his silence as entire crew moves to new spin-off without him: 'One person lost their job - me'
Osher Günsberg has broken his silence after being cut from the upcoming Golden Bachelor Australia reboot.
The beloved TV host, 50, who fronted The Bachelor Australia since its debut in 2013, revealed he was the only team member from The Bachelor franchise not asked to return.
Osher said it was 'bittersweet' watching the new version take off at a different network without him.
'When The Bachelor moved networks, one person lost their job. Me,' he told Chattr this week.
'My wife worked on [The Golden Bachelor]. I think Sam's gonna do a cracking job.'

The new iteration, The Golden Bachelor Australia, is set to air on Channel Nine in 2025 and will be hosted by media personality Samantha Armytage, marking a major shakeup following Channel 10's decision to axe the original series in 2023.
Despite the snub, Osher said he holds no resentment over being left out of the project.
'The 110 other people who make that show, who I have known for ten years, kept working, and that is what matters,' he said.
'These incredibly skilled people are the only ones in the country who know how to make that show. These jobs really need to be protected.'
'In this world where our industry is shrinking, I'm thrilled for them,' he added. 'I know them all and I know their kids - they're all brilliant at what they do.'
He continued: 'This is the business I've chosen. If I didn't want to be losing my job, I'd go work in an office. I chose this life, and I know this is a part of it.'
The TV personality, who is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars Australia 2025, admitted he saw the writing on the wall years ago as the show's ratings began to slide.
Once a ratings juggernaut, The Bachelor Australia has been on a steady decline for years.
Its 2021 season premiered to just 224,000 metro viewers - making it the lowest debut ever - down from 309,000 the previous season - a far cry from the 1 million+ who tuned in during the Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins era in 2018 - and the numbers kept falling throughout the season.
Former Sunrise co-anchor Armytage left Channel Seven in late 2024 after 21 years on air, saying the relentless grind had ' become gruelling' and the timing was right to move on.
In October 2024, she was officially announced as host of The Golden Bachelor Australia on Channel Nine, expressing excitement about bringing a 'fresh, heartwarming' new spin to Australian screens.
Daily Mail Australia revealed that Barry 'Bear' Myrden, a 50‑something infrastructure engineer from Sydney's Northern Beaches will be Australia's first Golden Bachelor after he was spotted filming during March 2025 at heritage homes in Elizabeth Bay.
Unlike The Bachelor and The Bachelorette which feature young men and women, the Golden Bachelor is targeted at a more mature audience eager to watch how those who have already experienced great love and loss are chasing companionship in their next chapter.
'Bear is not your usual reality TV type,' an insider told Daily Mail Australia.
'He's charming, intelligent and has really lived a full life. He's been through love, loss and now he's ready to open his heart again. Women are going to adore him.'
Local fans of the The Golden Bachelor have been calling for an Australian version since the US version premiered last year to critical acclaim.

Love Island's Blu reveals girls he pulled for chats in unaired scenes and says ‘so much went on that people didn't see'
DUMPED Love Island star Blu has revealed the girls he pulled for chats in unaired scenes, and said 'so much went on that people didn't see.' Construction worker Blu, 26, became this series' first evicted lad last week following a savage villa twist. 3 Now, speaking on The Morning After podcast, he didn't bite his tongue when asked about his time on the show. Blu said: 'You could only see me pulling Shakira on the show. 'But I pulled every single girl in that villa for chats, I think that's why it didn't get clipped, because it was too much. It's not the Blu show. 'I went for Meg straight away - she's my type to a T - but I couldn't because she was locked off with Tommy, so I wanted to explore all the other girls and get to know them. 'But there wasn't a connection there so it was quite difficult to pursue anything.' Blu continued: 'There was so much other stuff going on that wasn't shown.' The Love Island star didn't bite his tongue when asked about couple Remell Mullings, 24, and Alima Gagigo, 23 either. 'Right for right now is the perfect way to describe them,' Blu said when asked if they had long-term potential. He added: 'If a bombshell comes in that he fancies, he's going to go with that bombshell.' It seems Blu isn't convinced by Remell's connection with Alima – despite their on-screen chemistry and shared kiss. The Londoner said: 'He started to vibe with everyone a few days in. But if someone else walks in, I think it's game over.' Hosts Amy Hart and Indiyah Polack also predicted doom for the couple. The first week had viewers gripped with villa drama and explosive moments. Love Island 2025 full lineup Harry Cooksley: A 30-year-old footballer with charm to spare. Shakira Khan: A 22-year-old Manchester-based model, ready to turn heads. Megan Moore: A payroll specialist from Southampton, looking for someone tall and stylish. Alima Gagigo: International business graduate with brains and ambition. Tommy Bradley: A gym enthusiast with a big heart. Helena Ford: A Londoner with celebrity connections, aiming to find someone funny or Northern. Ben Holbrough: A model ready to make waves. Megan Clarke: An Irish actress already drawing comparisons to Maura Higgins. Dejon Noel-Williams: A personal trainer and semi-pro footballer, following in his footballer father's footsteps. Aaron Buckett: A towering 6'5' personal trainer. Conor Phillips: A 25-year-old Irish rugby pro. Antonia Laites: Love Island's first bombshell revealed as sexy Las Vegas pool party waitress. Rose Selway: Beauty salon owner from Devon who runs 12 aesthetics clinics, boasting a famous clientele including former Love Islanders. Yasmin Pettet: The 24-year-old bombshell hails from London and works as a commercial banking executive. Malisha Jordan: A teaching assistant from Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, who entered Love Island 2025 as a bombshell. Emily Moran: Bombshell Welsh brunette from the same town as Love Island 2024 alumni Nicole Samuel. Shea Mannings: Works as a scaffolder day-to-day and plays semi-pro football on the side. Remell Mullins: Boasts over 18million likes and 500k followers on TikTok thanks to his sizzling body transformation videos. Harrison Solomon: Pro footballer and model entering Love Island 2025 as a bombshell. Departures: Kyle Ashman: Axed after an arrest over a machete attack emerged. He was released with no further action taken and denies any wrongdoing. Sophie Lee: A model and motivational speaker who has overcome adversity after suffering life-changing burns in an accident. Blu Chegini: A boxer with striking model looks, seeking love in the villa. Despite recent tensions, a U-turn saw them share a passionate kiss in Tuesday's episode. Speaking on the podcast, Amy said: "Thing is as well, with Remell and Alima, most people can count, right? "You go in the villa and there's more boys than girls. Which means that boys will be at risk. "So, I need to find a girl - and I'm not saying that Alima was an easy option. "She's a beautiful girl with a beautiful heart and she's amazing." Continuing, Amy remarked how Remell "didn't even speak to anyone else" and observed her bond with Blu wasn't the strongest. She added: "He saw her and was like, 'That's my target' and then now he's wanting to kiss people in the challenge. "I just think, on paper, it looks like Remell came straight in for Alima, went for her and now they're in a couple. "Whereas it's not all those things."The villa couple previously butted heads when Remell kissed anyone but his partner in a challenge.

Married reality TV guru in talks for Strictly Come Dancing as bosses think he won't fall victim to show's ‘curse'
BBC bosses think they have found someone who won't fall victim to the infamous Strictly Come Dancing curse – Paul C Brunson. The married dating guru has become a big figure in the reality arena as part of Channel 4's two ratings giants, Married At First Sight and Celebs Go Dating. He spread his wings even further this year when he joined Netflix as Amanda Holden 's sidekick on Cheat: Unfinished Business, where eight former couples decide whether to reconcile or stay apart. But a spot on the BBC dancefloor would give Paul's career a huge boost. And the clean-cut American, who has been based in London since 2018, could be just what Strictly needs after two scandal-packed troubled series. A source said: 'Paul would be the ideal tonic to the dark clouds over Strictly as he's clean-cut, very intelligent and has no scandals to worry about. 'They are now in discussion but he's met with producers a number of times. 'Everyone is hoping he'll sign on the dotted line and is keen to make it happen.' Last month Strictly pro Karen Hauer was a guest on his podcast, We Need To Talk, so is likely well-versed in the show. He's welcomed everyone from Katie Price to singer Yungblud on the show, which is part of the reason bosses are so keen to get him on the dancefloor. The source added: 'The crucial 16-34 audience, which execs are desperate to hook, are well aware of Paul because of his podcast and MAFS and Celebs Go Dating are hugely popular with that age group.' So far names in talks for Strictly include Mo Farah, Georgia Toffolo and Gladiator Nitro.

Kristin Cavallari and Lindsay Lohan's shock confrontation revealed after The Hills icon bedded co-star
Kristin Cavallari reveals her relationship with Lindsay Lohan, months after divulging that the actress walked in on her and Talan Torriero in bed together. The reality star, 38, had previously said that it took place when they were teenagers and that Lindsay's reaction after was to hurl plates. The mom of three clarified that her and Talan were not intimate and were 'simply sleeping next to each other,' and that she has seen Lindsay, 38, after the incident and 'never had an issue,' she told Us Weekly. 'I hadn't seen her in years, but we saw each other a few times after that incident and never had an issue,' she revealed. Kristin revealed the story about her and Talan in a wild throwback story during the Let's Be Honest podcast. Kristin Cavallari reveals her relationship with Lindsay Lohan, months after divulging that the actress walked in on her and Talan Torriero in bed together The star said that Lindsay allegedly had a dramatic reaction to her and Talan sharing a bed during their teenage years. 'We go up to L.A. to stay with Talan and we're all sleeping. I'm sleeping in bed with Talan. We did not hook up this night,' Cavallari recounted, per US Weekly. She continued, '[Lindsay] comes in, sees that I'm in bed with Talan — nothing has happened — [but] she sees that there's a girl in bed with Talan and she freaks the f— out.' Cavallari claimed that 'obviously something happened' between Lohan and Torriero. Cavallari continued, per the outlet: 'She sees that I'm in bed [and] she goes upstairs, her and her girlfriends, [and] into the kitchen. She's taking glasses out and throwing them!' Torriero chimed in, saying Lohan wasn't hurling drinking glasses—but plates. 'He was trying to calm her down, and you guys, we're in high school still,' Cavallari added. 'We're 18, like, 'What the f— is going on with Hollywood? Like, Hollywood is crazy."' Lauren Alexandria Hooser (Alex H) recalled the chaos, adding, 'What woke us up … you just heard, like, s— going on, like, bashing and screaming.' Kristin also told the outlet that she has thought about doing a facelift in 10-15 years. 'To me that makes more sense than going the Botox and filler route, but we'll see. The recovery scares me. Also my mom hasn't done anything and looks great, so if I can age like her, then I'll be happy.' Adding: 'I don't plan on being in the public eye in 15 years, so hopefully I don't feel the pressure to age a certain way.'
