NEW DELHI: Former Pakistan captain
Babar Azam
and current ODI skipper Mohammad Rizwan have been demoted to Category 'B' in the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) latest list of central contracts, released on Tuesday.
For the 2025–26 cycle, the PCB has not placed any player in the top Category 'A', instead distributing 30 cricketers across Categories B, C and D.
"The contracts, effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, reflect the Board's continued commitment to recognising and supporting national talent. This year's roster sees ten players each placed in Categories B, C, and D. Notably, no player has been selected for Category A in this cycle," the PCB said in a media release.

Babar and Rizwan's demotion comes after a string of underwhelming performances in major tournaments, including the 2024 T20 World Cup, the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, and bilateral series against Bangladesh and the West Indies.
Meanwhile, T20 captain Salman Ali Agha has been promoted from Category C to B, while opener Saim Ayub and pacer Haris Rauf have also moved up the ladder.

Caitlin Clark becomes target of Sophie Cunningham's outrageous goat smell comment sending fans wild (Image via Getty) Injuries have marred the Indiana Fever 's 2025 campaign, and the latest setback came with Sophie Cunningham 's devastating right knee injury. The 29-year-old veteran guard tore her MCL during a game against the Connecticut Sun after a collision with Bria Hartley. Cunningham left the court visibly in pain, and an MRI later confirmed she would miss the rest of the season, including the playoffs. Her absence is a significant blow to Indiana, already struggling with long-term injuries to Sydney Colson (ACL) and Aari McDonald (foot fracture). Cunningham had been averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 30 games, often stepping up to carry the team when others went down. Caitlin Clark 's Touching Message to Her Teammate Sophie Cunningham Despite facing her own struggles with a groin injury this season, Caitlin Clark didn't hesitate to show love and support for Sophie Cunningham . While the injuries have been difficult, Clark and her teammates have leaned on humor and solidarity to get through the storm. Cunningham's injury has hit particularly hard for Clark, who developed a close friendship with the veteran guard. Their bond exemplifies how players support one another, both on and off the court, especially during moments of adversity. What This Means for the Indiana Fever's Season With several key players out, the Fever's path to the playoffs has become much tougher. Coach White emphasized the importance of resilience, urging her team to keep fighting through the adversity. Even though Cunningham's absence is a major setback, her presence as a leader and the connection she's built with her teammates will still play a big role from the sidelines. Looking ahead, the Fever remain hopeful for Cunningham's full recovery and Clark's eventual return to form. The adversity they've faced this year paints a picture of perseverance and unity - a team refusing to fold, no matter the circumstances. Michael Irvin gives Dallas Cowboys five strong warnings following tough defeat to Baltimore Ravens

Michael Irvin gives Dallas Cowboys five strong warnings following tough defeat to Baltimore Ravens (Image via Getty) Michael Irvin made a loud and clear statement after the Dallas Cowboys' 31–13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on August 16, 2025, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He stated that this loss is not small. It shows real problems. He told the team they can't treat preseason games like nothing. He said they must face trouble now, or it will cost them later in the real season. Michael Irvin's five warnings to Dallas Cowboys after preseason loss to Baltimore Ravens Michael Irvin didn't hold back. He shared five strong warnings after the game on August 16, 2025. 1. The run defence is in crisis – Irvin said when backup running backs Rasheen Ali and Diontae Johnson combined for over 120 rushing yards, it's not a small mistake. He warned that if a bigger star like Derrick Henry played, they might give up 300 yards. 2. Offence must score more – He said Dallas needs to put up 35 points every game. Scoring just 28 or 30 will not win enough games. 3. Preseason matters more for Cowboys – He said teams like the Philadelphia Eagles or Kansas City Chiefs already know who they are. The Cowboys must use the preseason to build identity and confidence. 4. Do what you promised in camp – At training camp, Dallas said they wanted to run well and stop the run. Irvin pointed out that they are failing both jobs right now. 5. Week 3 must show change – He picked Week 3 of the preseason as a 'must-see' test. He said, 'This game three has to give you some kind of inkling… we need to see something in week three to say, 'oh okay, I see how that's coming together.'' Also Read: 'Borderline Slander': Kristin Cavallari Divorce Money Claim Sparks Strong Response From Jay Cutler Dallas Cowboys struggles against Baltimore Ravens raise serious concerns for regular season According to a report from EssentiallySports on August 19, 2025, Michael Irvin made these statements. Following a difficult opening against the Los Angeles Rams, the Ravens' 31-13 defeat came. Leading the Ravens was Cooper Rush, once a Dallas player. The Cowboys recorded two interceptions, but that was of small consolation as the offence faltered and the defence let too many yards to rush past them. Michael Irvin's warnings hit where the team is weak: slow offence, poor defence, and no clear identity. He is saying loud and clear: get better now, or the real season will be painful.
