Oasis welcome Lionesses on tour with Liam Gallagher giving very special shout out

England stars including Hannah Hampton and her teammates Alex Greenwood and Alessia Russo were spotted watching Oasis play Wembley
Liam Gallagher dedicated an Oasis song to the Lionesses Euros victory - as some of the squad were at Wembley to watch their latest triumphant gig.

Oasis were back at Wembley on Wednesday night and in amongst the crowd were England stars including goalkeeper Hannah Hampton who was key in England winning the penalty shootout in Sunday's final.

She was wearing an Oasis jacket as she posed for pics with former Spice Girl Geri Horner and teammates Alex Greenwood and Alessia Russo in a hospitality area. It comes after reports the future of 'incredible' Lionesses boss is in question after FA chief's statement.

Russo later signed and Oasis football shirt for Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais and posed for photos with her too.
On stage Oasis delivered another triumphant set and before performing Roll With It, Liam dedicated it to 'the actual Lionesses' to cheers from the crowd.

The gig was another success for Oasis with fans loving the set and afterwards guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs wrote on social media: 'Wow, you/we did it again Wembley.'
The band still have dates to play in Wembley, Edinburgh and Dublin before they head out on a US tour.
And despite most of the crowd already wearing bucket hats and Adidas merch, there are even more ranges being launched, including some retro clothing based on previous tours.

Amazon has launched it's own online fan store and has some new exclusive lines including reissued designs from the beloved 'North American Tour 2006" and 'Be Here Now 1997', including t-shirts (in black and white), a long sleeve shirt and a hoodie.
Over coming months a number of tour-by-tour designs will be rereleased and available exclusively on Amazon. Graphics commemorating 2002's 'Heathen Chemistry' and the Wembley dates from 1997's 'All Around The World' tour, and more, will be available soon.
Oasis are back at Wembley this weekend for two more shows on Saturday and Sunday night. They then head out on the run before playing two more shows at Wembley at the end of September. All dates are sold out.
Other celebrities who have been to see the band at Wembley include Tom Cruise, Dua Lipa, Ricky Gervais and Lewis Capaldi

Lionesses star Lauren Hemp presented with bus named after her in Norfolk hometown of North Walsham

Hundreds of fans serenaded Lioness Lauren Hemp with a rendition of Happy Birthday to give her a homecoming to remember. The winger, a key member of England's double Euros-winning team, was returning to North Walsham in Norfolk, where she grew up, as a local bus company named a vehicle after her. She was the overwhelming choice in a public competition to name the new bus, even before her starring role in the Lionesses' Euro2025 victory, said Charles Sanders of Sanders Coaches. Hemp cut the ribbon and was presented with a Lego kit of a double-decker bus in recognition of her favourite hobby away from the football pitch, which she documented on social media throughout the tournament. "Coming here and seeing so many people here is just unbelievable," she told ITV News Anglia. "It's so nice to see my home town supporting me as much as this. "It's only when you come back that you realise how much of a difference it's made." Two days before her 25th birthday, the crowd was encouraged to sing Happy Birthday to Hemp, and she was presented with gifts from the crowd after being introduced by North Walsham's town crier. Reflecting on the tournament win, Hemp said she was relieved that her team-mates managed to win the shoot-out before she was due to take a penalty. "Standing there in the penalty shoot-out was very nerve-racking. We managed to get the job done before I had to take a penalty, so that was a bonus. "After that long six weeks of preparing for it, it finally made the difference and we were able to lift the trophy."

‘Role model' father who fell to his death at Oasis gig in Wembley named and pictured

A man who fell to his death during Oasis's Saturday night gig at Wembley has been named as Lee Claydon. The father from Bournemouth fell from the upper tier balcony of the London stadium during a sell-out concert by the Gallagher brothers. Describing him as a 'loving family man' who loved fishing and outdoor activities and a 'role model' to his son, Lee's brother Aaron Claydon said: 'We will miss him so very much.' Aaron paid tribute to his brother on a GoFundMe page set up to support Lee's partner, Amanda, and their family. In the post, he said Lee was 'the man I have always looked up to' who 'would have done anything for any of us'. 'Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss,' Aaron wrote. 'Lee leaves behind his son, dad, partner, brothers, sisters, nephews and niece. 'Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry and was loved so much by all his family. Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him so very much. 'Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games. 'Amanda and the boys have our full support at this very sad time, which is why we would love to be able to help them financially as well as emotionally. 'Please help us raise as much funds as we can to take one worry off Amanda and family right now as they are going through any family's worst nightmare.' Aaron also took to Facebook to pay tribute to his brother, writing: 'Still in shock and cannot believe I am writing this, but sadly over the weekend I lost by best mate the man I looked up to and the man I was lucky enough to call my brother Lee Claydon. 'This is gonna be a tough long journey and I have set up this GoFundMe page to help and support his loved ones. Please read and share. 'Until we meet again Rkid.' Lee's cousins, Shannon Gabrielle and Richard Norris, also paid tribute to Lee on the social media platform and shared the fundraiser. 'Absolutely shocked and gutted to hear about our cousin Lee Claydon,' Mr Norris wrote, describing the incident as 'heartbreaking beyond words'. 'Please consider supporting the fundraiser to help his loved ones during yet another incredibly difficult time,' he said. Shannon Gabrielle wrote Lee had died 'after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert this weekend'. She added his death had 'devastated the whole family' and said any donations would help support his 'closest knit' relatives. 'You just don't fathom you will go out for a night of amazing fun and not come home at the end of it,' she wrote. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.' The Gallagher brothers also said they had been left 'shocked and saddened' by the news of the death following their show. On Sunday, a spokesperson for Wembley said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. 'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.'

Hello Universe: A Rock 'n' Roll Documentary (15) ★★★ At just 56 minutes, this documentary about Edinburgh psych-rock power trio Miracle Glass Company feels incomplete — appropriate, really, given the band have yet to break through or definitively split up. Kicking around the Edinburgh music scene for the last decade, the band — comprised of Austen George (guitars/keys/vocals), William Douglas (bass/guitar/vocals) and Andy Duncan (drums/vocals) — have generated flurries of interest, but personal tragedies and bad timing mean they're not nearly as well known as their most vociferous fans and supporters feel they should be. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Miracle Glass Company in Hello Universe | Contributed Directed by Tommy Slack, Hello Universe mixes archival footage and talking-head interviews to sketch out their origins, their classic rock sound, their sometimes testy dynamic and their early optimism for the band, which evolved from a side-project to a full-time gig, with Oasis-producer Owen Morris signing on to record debut album MGC1, and the band wrangling an invitation to play Tartan Week in New York so they could also shoot a music video in the city. But then William Douglas endured an unimaginable personal tragedy that changed his attitude to things, and their second album proved more stressful to make. It has its fans, but circumstances were against it from the off: first Covid hit, killing its momentum, then Austen George suffered his own personal tragedy, which further dampened enthusiasm for making things work. Does this make Miracle Glass Company the unluckiest band in Scotland? Perhaps, but then good bands fail to make it for all sorts of reasons. As a film, Hello Universe recalls Anvil: The Story of Anvil in this sense, just without the decades of perspective that made that film such an entertaining ode to artistic endeavour. The members of MGC are all still young enough to make something happen, but their fans seem to want it more than them. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad
