Comedian Samay Raina has definitely seen better days in his career, with everything that happened with his YouTube show India's Got Latent. Several court cases, threats, and rounds of bashing on the internet; Raina seems to be staging a comeback. He recently appeared on a promotional video with podcaster Raj Shamani for a brand that manufactures products around men's sexual health.
Shamani spoke to him about a possible return of India's Got Latent, his recent troubles and how he is bad at 'editing out stuff'. Samay kept on plugging the different products of the brand in every answer.
A post shared by Samay Raina (@maisamayhoon)
The video opens with Raj welcoming Samay on his podcast and asking him, 'Through your journey, after seeing so many lows, what exactly did you learn from it?' Raina responds, 'Life has both highs and lows; I have realised that. You should always be bold regardless of what happens, but even boldness has a limit.' Just when it looks like Samay is giving a serious answer, he proceeds to advertise the company's condoms. Samay made a reference to the whole controversy regarding his dark humour and said, 'Once something gets released out in the world, it never comes back.'

Raj doubles down on his question and asks him again, 'But what did you learn?' To which Samay again starts his story in a similar manner, again hinting at all that happened in the past while building up for another product. Shamani then asks whether India's Got Latent will be making a comeback and Samay responds, 'That only time will tell, and good things take time. It's time that is the strongest and the most important.' At this point of the answer, Raj looks defeated because he knows that Samay is in fact not talking about the show but about a product. Samay ends it by making fun of Raj and how, out of the two of them, Raj's life is currently going much better. Raj starts laughing and talks to people behind the camera to cut this segment out, and Samay says. 'That is exactly what I am unable to do: edit stuff out.'
Even though brands had started dropping influencers left and right after the India's Got Latent controversy, Samay seems to be fighting his way back. Apoorva Mukhija, a.k.a. The Rebel Kid, who also got roped into the whole Latent episode and received a lot of unwarranted flack, has started posting on social media again and even made appearances on podcasts to talk about everything that went down and what she and her family went through.

Alia Kapoor? Reddit deduces Alia Bhatt has legally changed name after marriage to Ranbir Kapoor; here's 'proof'

Alia Bhatt made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival last month, wowing fans with her chic appearance as the L'Oreal brand ambassador at the festival. The actor recently shared a vlog of herself getting ready for the moment, giving a sneak peek at some behind-the-scenes moments. What caught the internet's eye was how the hotel where she stayed at addressed her as 'Alia Kapoor', sparking speculations that the actor may have legally changed her name. (Also read: Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's new Mumbai bungalow looks ready) The vlog, posted on Alia's official YouTube channel, shows the actor in her hotel room on the French Riviera. At one point in the video, Alia gets dressed and has her hair and makeup done by her team. In the background, the hotel's message for her is visible on an LCD. The message is addressed to 'Dear Alia Kapoor', implying that Alia has adopted the Kapoor surname since her wedding to Ranbir. The screengrab of the moment was shared on Reddit by some eagle-eyed fans. The top comment to the post read, "Must've taken her husband's name and kept Bhatt for her public-facing career since she is widely known by that surname." Others argued that the hotel may have erroneously written that. But Redditors said that since international hotels use booking IDs for such messages, it was likely Alia had legally changed her name. "How will a hotel in France know her husband's surname? 🤷🏼‍♀️ anyway, hotel booking is done according to your legal name on ID's," reasoned one Reddit user. While the internet debated the logic behind Alia changing her name - some dissed patriarchy while others called it her choice - many felt that Alia needs to remain a Bhatt as it's a 'brand' now. "But she's always be Alia Bhatt to me, naam mein wajan aagaya hai abhi (the name carries some heft). It's a brand name now," argued one. Another harked back to Alia's appearance on Koffee With Karan a couple of years ago and asked, "I thought it was "Alia Bhatt Kapoor" as she mentioned it on KWK. Ranveer got very happy and said it's got a ring to it." Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April 2022 after years of dating. The two met on the sets of their 2022 film Brahmastra. Alia and Ranbir welcomed their daughter, Raha, in November 2022. Alia will be next seen on the screen in YRF Spy Universe's Alpha, the first female-led spy universe film. It also stars Sharvari.

Is Kim Soo Hyun personally involved in provisional seizure of Garosero YouTuber's assets amid Kim Sae Ron scandal?

The Kim Soo Hyun-Kim Sae Ron dating scandal had a major development with the actress' side receiving their first major blow. It included the court ordering for seizure of two properties of YouTuber Kim Se Eui of Garosero Research Institute– the one who amplified Kim Sae Ron's family's messages to the world. As per a June 11 report by Newsen, Kim Soo Hyun was directly involved in the provisional seizure of assets. Read to know how. Garosero's Kim Se Eui slapped with seizure of 2 real estate assets Kim Se Eui was the constant supporter of Kim Sae Ron 's bereaved family and all the revelations regarding the two actors' past involvement with each other was made through his YouTube channel. Due to that, a damages lawsuit was filed and asset seizure request was made by Kim Soo Hyun's agency against Kim Se Eui, which resulted favourably for the actor's side. The Seoul Central District Court approved the real estate seizure request of GOLDMEDALIST, worth 11 billion KRW (about 8 million USD). It allowed the agency to claim two of Kim Se Ui's luxury residential properties, with their total worth being 4 billion KRW (about 2.93 million USD). The properties included a Hanyang 4th Apartment in Apgujeong and a Buksan Blooming Apartment in Seocho. Kim Soo Hyun's direct involvement in provisional seizure of Garosero operator Kim Soo Hyun was explicitly named as a creditor in the provisional seizure of Garosero Institute Co., Ltd.'s bank account holding corporate sponsorship funds. This move underscored his hands-on approach in pursuing legal action against the whistle-blower. The reason Kim Soo Hyun's name wasn't included in the real estate seizures, according to LKB & Partners, his legal team, was that registering a claim on real estate would require making his personal details publicly accessible. To maintain his privacy and keep crucial information out of reach of the opposing party, Kim Soo Hyun strategically decided to participate directly only in the bank account seizure, thereby maintaining confidentiality. The issue stemmed from Kim Sae Ron's side accusing Kim Soo Hyun of being involved romantically with the late actress during her underage days. Kim Soo Hyun legally refuted it, filing defamation charges against both the bereaved family and the Garosero operator.

Documentary screening in haste, can jeopardise murder trial: Moose Wala's father

After British broadcaster BBC World Service released a two-part documentary, 'The Killing Call', on YouTube on the assassination of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on Wednesday morning, his father, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, alleged that the screening in haste could jeopardise the ongoing criminal trial into the murder. 'The documentary builds a false narrative and maligns Moose Wala's image. It has been released online in haste for commercial gains and could jeopardise the ongoing trial of his murder,' Balkaur said after a function at Musa village in Mansa district to mark the birth anniversary of the singer, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu. The documentary was originally scheduled for a public screening at Juhu, Mumbai, coinciding with Moose Wala's birthday. However, amid growing controversy and legal objections, the broadcaster shifted the release to YouTube. The first part of the documentary is on Moose Wala's early life, rise to fame, and controversies surrounding him. The second part delves into the circumstances surrounding his assassination on May 29, 2022, in Mansa district. The 28-year-old singer was driving his jeep without police security when attackers fired over 30 bullets at him. He was later discovered slumped in the driver's seat. Canada-based Goldy Brar, who has alleged ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the killing and has since been designated an 'individual terrorist' by the National Investigation Agency. The case remains under investigation, with no convictions yet, while Brar continues to evade arrest. New songs runaway hits Moose Wala's family released three new songs of the slain rapper — '0008', 'Neal', and 'Take Notes' — on his YouTube channel at 10am on Wednesday. With this, the total number of songs released after Moose Wala's death touched 11. Each of the tracks had more than 32 lakh views till 8 pm and these songs trended on the top three slots of YouTube. Balkaur Singh said: 'We have full faith that the court will do justice in our son's murder. Unfortunately, all those who claimed to be standing with our family were seen giving interviews to the foreign broadcaster.' The Mansa court listed Balkaur's petition for hearing on Thursday but refused to stay the screening. Balkaur has named the foreign broadcaster along with two individuals, Ishleen Kaur and Ankur Jain, as respondents in the suit. The investigative documentary interviewed Canada-based gangster and key conspirator in Moose Wala's murder, Goldy Brar. The documentary has interviews with two senior police officers of Punjab and Delhi, who worked on solving the murder and arrested several accused. Besides the singer's friends, his former manager and journalists were also interviewed to trace Moose Wala's journey from a village in Punjab to the 'hip-hop scene of eastern Canada'. They talked about people in his life, his association with gangsters and circumstances. 'It's a story that takes us from the turbulent history of Punjab to the contested politics of modern India, and from the shadowy world of organised crime to a chilling phone call with the fugitive gangster, who says he ordered the hit,' the BBC World Service says in the video's description. Old video clips of interviews with Moose Wala and his father also find space in the documentary.
