Value Scope: Each way horseracing tips for Royal Ascot on Saturday
Flying filly FLORA OF BERMUDA (3.40) is ready to flower in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes. She must have walked under a ladder or smashed a mirror at some point last season, as she enjoyed some desperate luck in a trio of Group 1 contests.
Her close third in the British Champions Sprint over today's course and distance last October came despite being caught out wide. It does show she has the ability to win a race like this when things drop her way.
She didn't get the clearest of passages when beaten a neck by Inisherin in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes on her return to action.
This race should set up for her – all she needs is a slice of luck. Have 2pts each-way at 10-1. Sky Bet is paying out on five places. The Wokingham Stakes is the big sprint handicap of the week.
GERMANIC (5.00) had some promising form for William Haggas last year and he's run well on both his starts since joining Julie Camacho.
He clearly needed the run on his debut for his new trainer at Leicester in April and he improved when a close second behind Ferrous on Newcastle's all-weather track.
The winner was completing a hat-trick of victories and my fancy should be spot on for his third start of the season. Have 1pt each-way at 20-1. Sky Bet is going seven places.
German form is often underrated and that looks to be the case with PALLADIUM (3.05) in the Hardwicke Stakes. He won the German Derby before being sold for £1.4m to go hurdling with Nicky Henderson.
His Huntingdon hurdles victory was his sole jumps run before switching to the Gosdens for a Flat campaign. There was a lot to like about his attitude when only headed close home by Hamish on soft ground at Goodwood two weeks ago.
Although most of his form was on soft in Germany, he moves like he will appreciate a faster surface. Have 1pt each-way at 20-1. A few firms are offering four places.
The traditional final race of Royal Ascot is the Queen Alexandra Stakes. The demands of this marathon contest should suit TROOPER BISDEE (6.10). If he gets into a rhythm out in front, he will be hard to pass. Have 1pt each-way at 12-1.

Tornado goes down a storm in Munich
Having been sent across Europe in pursuit of top-level success, in a race Bin Suroor and Murphy won with Benbatl in 2018, Tornado Alert was never too far off the pace and quickened up smartly to lead halfway up the home straight. Map Of Stars, bidding to provide his trainer Francis-Henri Graffard with a second Group One success in as many days following Calandagan's triumph in the King George at Ascot on Saturday, came from further back to throw down his challenge under James Doyle in the Wathnan Racing silks. But try as he might he could not get on terms with Tornado Alert, who was ultimately well on top at the line. Bin Suroor said: 'He won well, the ground was heavy and he's never run before on this ground, but he handled it well. 'I said to Oisin before the race 'just keep him happy and give him a chance', but he was travelling good all the way and when he came off the bridle he saw it out well.' Tornado Alert holds big-race entries in the Juddmonte International at York and the Celebration Mile at Goodwood next month, but Bin Suroor is in no rush to firm up future plans, adding: 'We'll see how he comes back after the race and then we'll make a decision. 'He's a horse who is improving all the time. He ran well at Royal Ascot, his form is very good and he has improved every time he has run. 'Physically he looks better now than when he finished fourth in the Guineas, but with time and age that is what you would expect. 'He has plenty of speed, but I think a mile and a quarter is his best trip at the moment.'

Will Michelle Agyemang be England's hero again? The 19-year-old sensation is 10/3 to score anytime during Sunday's Women's Euros final between the Lionesses and Spain
Michelle Agyemang delivered off the bench again for the Lionesses during their nervy comeback win over Italy in the Women's Euros semi-finals, scoring a stunning stoppage time equaliser to force extra time and help book a spot in Sunday's final. Sarina Wiegman 's side looked down and out before Agyemang dramatically levelled the game in the 96th minute, taking it to extra time before Chloe Kelly scored the decisive winner. Ahead of what promises to be an enthralling final between England and Spain in Switzerland on Sunday, Sky Bet has listed Agyemang as the third favourite to score anytime among the Lionesses. Alessia Russo is the 11/4 favourite to score for England during the match, while Aggie Beever-Jones is second-favourite at 3/1. Lauren James and Agyemang then come in at 10/3, with Sky Bet handing longer odds to Beth Mead and Lauren Help, who are all listed at 4/1. Chloe Kelly is 9/2. For those anticipating Spain to score aplenty, their players have largely been given shorter odds of finding the net, with Esther Gonzalez, Claudia Pina and Alexia Putellas all at 6/4. Alba Redondo and Lucia Garcia, meanwhile, are the next best-backed with odds of 7/4, followed by Salma Paralluelo on 15/8. Dubai Future to renew rivalry with Illinois in Goodwood Cup
Previously successful with Kayf Tara (1999), Schiaparelli (2009) and Cavalryman (2014), the veteran trainer will this year saddle a nine-year-old who has split his time between England and Middle East while developing into a seasoned stayer. He missed the entirety of the 2024 season but has been in good form since his return to action in Dubai earlier in the year, with an unplaced run in the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier seemingly just a blip as he got back on track behind Trawlerman and Illinois in last month's two-and-a-half-mile Royal Ascot feature. Saeed bin Suroor runs Dubai Future in the Goodwood Cup (Joe Giddens/PA) 'Dubai Future is in good form, he worked on Thursday and he's in very good form,' said bin Suroor. 'He had to take a little break, but he is doing very well as a nine-year-old, he settled well at Ascot and that was a good run in the Gold Cup. 'He's in very good condition and we're looking forward to getting him out again.' Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore continue to prove irresistible @ChesterRaces as Illinois stamps his class on the Ormonde Stakes — Ashley Iveson (@AshIveson) May 8, 2025 Dubai Future is one of eight runners declared for the showpiece event on day one of the Qatar Goodwood Festival and renews rivalry with Aidan O'Brien's Gold Cup runner-up Illinois, as well as John and Thady Gosden's fourth home Sweet William. O'Brien has a second major contender in the form of runaway Bahrain Trophy winner Scandinavia, while the Gosdens fire a three-pronged assault, with the improving Copper Horse Stakes winner French Master and Military Academy also in the mix. Alan King will be hoping for some ease in the ground for his 2021 Goodwood Cup hero Trueshan, with the field completed by the David Menuisier-trained Sunway, who tests his stamina over two miles for the first time after finishing fourth in the Hardwicke at the Royal meeting.
