Walton Goggins' wife breaks silence on Aimee Lou Wood relationship speculation
Walton Goggins' wife, Nadia Conners, has addressed the relationship speculation involving both her husband and his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood.
The actor, 53, and British-born actress, 31, portrayed an age-gap couple in the third season of the hit HBO series who met a tragic fate during the finale.
The pair's on-screen chemistry and appearing on each other's social media pages sparked up questions about their relationship off-camera earlier this year.
Goggins and Wood were also later embroiled in 'feud' rumors which appear to have now been brushed aside.
But in regards to the romance rumors, Walton's wife offered her own thoughts during a recent interview with Hello! Magazine.
'It's odd to see it, but it's an indication of how much people were invested in the fictional characters,' the director expressed to the outlet. 'I take it as a sign that he's become quite popular.'
Walton and Nadia tied the knot back in 2011 and are also parents to a son named Augustus, 14.
In the latest season of The White Lotus - which aired its final episode last month in April - Goggins played the character of Rick who goes to the White Lotus resort in Thailand with his younger girlfriend Chelsea, who was portrayed by Aimee.
The two stars jumped to Instagram to reflect on their time on the show and also gave shout outs to each other.
Wood uploaded a black and white photo of the pair as they strolled down a street and penned in the caption, 'The perfect storm.'
The Django Unchained actor also shared an assortment of behind-the-scenes snaps of both himself and Aimee.
The actor wrote a lengthy caption to his followers which read, 'Rick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts… To me, ours was a love story.
'It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma. We all have them… but can we move past them. In the depths of our despair there is always beauty around us.'
He added, If we can sit with our pain, just sit with it… not react… not be defined by it…It's there… the love the world is constantly giving in any given moment is there. Always waiting for us to see it… Trust me I know.'
Walton later added, 'Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget...'
However, speculation of a 'feud' between the stars also arose when the two seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
A sketch on SNL later mocked Aimee's teeth and Manchester accent - which Wood had labeled 'mean and unfunny.' Days later, she was spotted looking tearful during an outing in London.
The skit also was a spoof of The White Lotus, and Goggins praised it by commenting: 'Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.'
SNL and Sarah Sherman - who portrayed Aimee's character in the sketch - apologized to the actress and the comedian also sent her flowers.
'I was excited to play her because she's so iconic, her character is so iconic, and I f***ing obviously never meant to hurt anyone's feeling,' Sherman told Vanity Fair earlier this month.
'Never in a million years did I get into comedy to make anyone upset. I feel terrible that anyone would feel bad.
'Being in conversation with everything popular culture, there's such a danger there,' Sarah further explained to the outlet.
'Sometimes you just don't realize how it comes across, but you're put in a position to be engaging with it all the time, because you are a part of a show that's interacting with culture and popular politics and popular whatever...'
Fans were also left questioning about Walton and Aimee's status when he notably walked out of interview with The Times when the actress was brought up on more than one occasion.
He had told the publication, 'I'm not gonna have that conversation. There is no conversation to be had about that.'
Earlier this month on May 5, both stars also attended the 2025 Met Gala - but did not cross paths on the red carpet.
That same week, Goggins hosted SNL - but made no mention of his co-star, nor did she make a surprise guest appearance.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Met Gala, she had been asked if she would possibly make a cameo on the sketch comedy series with Walton.
'I couldn't say… but also I'm not, I'm not doing that,' the actress said, but added she would still go on the show despite being mocked in a skit. 'Yeah! Why not? It would be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever.'
She seemed to put an end to feud rumors that had ignited by revealing she and Goggins had recently hung out.
'I actually saw him two days ago,' Aimee said. 'We haven't had that much time to debrief about everything. So every time we see each other, there's never time.
'So it'll be good to see him again tonight, because we saw each other briefly a couple days ago and we were just trying to download everything and the episodes and Rick and Chelsea's whole story now that we've seen it in full. There's just never enough time.'
Walton and Aimee have also since started following each other on social media once again.
Goggins and his wife Nadia recently collaborated on the film The Uninvited which has officially hit theaters.
The actor took on a leading role in the project alongside other stars such as Pedro Pascal, Elizabeth Reaser, Lois Smith, Rufus Sewell and Eva De Dominici.
Walton recently got candid about having 'disagreements' with Nadia while working together during an interview with Radio Times.
'The adjustment was very difficult the first couple of days! We're both Scorpios. We are extremely independent people. We both have very specific ideas about things,' he said.
'She was the director and I had to listen to her the way that I listened to directors – but I had to push back on things that I disagreed with, for my story. But we did find a rhythm. And we did get to a place where we weren't taking things personally.'

The actress first appeared on the soap in 2000 when her character moved into number 11 with sons Jason and Todd Grimshaw. And despite the character capturing the hearts of the nation for more than two decades, fans felt show bosses had not given her the send off she deserved as she made a big move to Thailand. Eileen was being suspected in her sister Julie's tragic death but was thankfully was cleared by the police of any wrongdoing. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The beloved resident then decided to make the move to Thailand, and invest in her son Jason's bar. And it wasn't the only big change for her as she also ended her relationship with George after admitting she only loved him as a friend. In her final scenes, Eileen who worked at the StreetCars taxi service alongside Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), was seen hopping into the back of his cab with Jason. Flocking to social media, TV buffs dubbed the episode as 'boring' which will 'go down in history as one of the most drawn out exits ever'. One penned: 'This will go down in history as one of the most drawn out exits ever,' as another wrote: 'This is a dreadful last episode for a long term character.' 'Well, that send off, wasn't very exciting,' tweeted a third, while another agreed: 'Goodness. Eileen's exit storyline is very, very, VERY bland.' Back in January it was revealed that Sue would be leaving the Cobbles to pursue other projects and two months later it was confirmed that the soap star had already filmed her final scenes. Eileen's exit from the show also included her son Jason, meaning that actor Ryan Thomas, 40, would be reprised his role for the storyline. Flocking to social media, TV buffs dubbed the episode as 'boring' which will 'go down in history as one of the most drawn out exits ever' Speaking to The Mirror about her on-screen son Ryan's involvement in the storyline, Sue said: 'Ryan was there from the start, and he was inconveniently living in Thailand, and it wouldn't be too far of a jump to expect that if Eileen was going to make a leap, that she would involve her son. 'And so when I decided to leave, like over a year ago, I rang Ryan, and I said, 'Ryan, I'm going to tell them that I'm going, and if they ask me about exits, I'd really like to say that you'd come back and take me out, but I don't know whether they'd go for it or not'. 'And he just went, 'Oh my gosh, of course, I would' Which was so lovely for me. 'And it was just so nice to have him back and filming those final scenes with him. It just felt like I'd come full circle really.' Sue isn't the only star who is saying goodbye to the cobbled streets. Mick (Joe Layton and Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) are leaving in the summer, as well as Adam Hussain who plays Adam Hussain.
