Dog groomer caught on video punching pooches, slamming one pup against wall: authorities

Iredell County Animal Services was notified of the troubling footage, which was recorded by a concerned coworker and posted to Facebook, prompting the probe.
The clips showed Taylor 'repeatedly striking and mishandling dogs during grooming sessions,' according to the sheriff's office.
One video allegedly showed Taylor punching a dog several times while grooming it, and other footage captured a cowering pup repeatedly being hit and slammed against the wall.

At least four separate dogs belonging to clients who brought them in for routine care were seen being treated in an aggressive and abusive manner, police said.
The suspected animal-abuse case was handed over to the sheriff's office because of the severity of the allegations, and arrest warrants were secured for Taylor, officials said.
'This case highlights the critical importance of coordinated responses in matters involving animal cruelty,' Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a statement.

'We will always take allegations of animal abuse seriously and will hold offenders accountable,' Campbell said.
The owner of Classy Critters has since confirmed that Taylor no longer works at the facility, Local 3 News reported.

The incident is one of numerous fatalities involving fireworks during the summer months, including an 8-year-old girl who was struck during a Fourth of July celebration this year and South Carolina father who was killed when he put a lit fireworks on his head last year.

Brantford man charged with assault by Brantford police and OPP
A Brantford man has been charged with violent crimes by two police services. Provincial police arrested Alveen Ahmed, 28, last week, charging him with sexual assault, assault and forcible confinement. It was related to an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault that took place in Brant County in January, according to a news release on Thursday. Earlier in July, Brantford police charged Ahmed with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault, related to an incident on July 13. An officer had found someone with 'serious injuries' from a 'physical and sexual assault' near Golf Road and Highway 403, a Brantford police release said. Brantford police released Ahmed's photo and a picture of his pickup truck, a black 2022 Dodge Ram, because they think there could be more victims. Following both arrests, Ahmed is out on a $20,000 bail. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. He's not to leave his residence except if he or an immediate family member has a medical emergency, or if he is with his surety. He's not to have any weapons or drive without his surety present. The deranged 15-year-old accused of slaughtering all but one of his family members in their ritzy lakeside Washington mansion was kept isolated from the world and raised under a 'rigid, militant survivalist ideology,' his lawyer claims. Mark and Sarah Humiston drove their future killer son to the heinous crime after hammering him and his siblings with years of religious extremism and government paranoia, according to court documents filed last week. Prosecutors say their oldest son — whose identity has been kept under wraps — shot his parents, brothers Benjamin, 13, Joshua, 9, and sister Katheryn, 7, in the middle of the night in October. His 11-year-old sister survived the bloodbath by playing dead. 3 Mark and Sarah Humiston and three of their children were killed by their oldest son last fall. Facebook 'A common theme that has been expressed amongst extended family, neighbors, and those who knew the Humistons is that the children were isolated from the outside world and did not engage socially with many peers – only a select few families that went to their church and were friends of their family,' the court documents, obtained by KOMO News, said. She slipped out of a window to a neighbor's house before he could finish the job, police said. At the same time, the gunman called 911 and told dispatchers that his 13-year-old brother had killed their family and 'taken himself out' because he had gotten in trouble looking at pornography the night before. He then staged the bloody scene before first responders arrived in an attempt to pin the killings on his dead brother, even putting a gun in his hand, according to the charging documents. The teen was immediately taken into custody and faces five counts of first-degree aggravated murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder.
