Vikram Solar bags 250 MW solar module supply order from Bondada Group
New Delhi, Aug 4 (PTI) Vikram Solar on Monday said it has secured a 250 MW solar Module supply order from Bondada Group for a project in Maharashtra. However, the company didn't disclose the value of the order in its statement. Vikram Solar, a leading Indian solar PV module manufacturer,said it has secured a significant order to supply 250 MW of high-efficiency solar modules from the Bondada Group, according to the statement. The modules will be deployed for a project in Maharashtra, and the delivery is scheduled to begin in FY 2025-26. As part of the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its advanced N-Type modules, renowned for superior performance and energy output. This order further cements Vikram Solar's position as a top-tier manufacturer listed in India's Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The project is expected to contribute meaningfully to Maharashtra's renewable energy capacity, reduce carbon emissions, and support the state's sustainability goals. It also aligns with Vikram Solar's ongoing commitment to supporting India's broader renewable energy targets through technological innovation and expanded manufacturing capabilities. Indias tea production dips 9 pc to 133.5 million kg in June
Agency: Kolkata, Aug 4 (PTI) India's tea production dipped 9 per cent to 133.5 million kg in June as compared to the same month of the previous year, according to official data. In June 2024, the country had produced 146.72 million kg of tea, according to data released by the Tea Board. The decline in production was caused by adverse weather conditions and pest attacks, said the Indian Tea Association. Production in North India, comprising West Bengal and Assam, declined to 112.51 million kg in June. It was 121.52 million kg in June last year. Production in South India during June also declined to 20.99 million kg, as against 25.20 million kg in the same month of 2024. Big and organised planters produced 55.21 million kg in June, a decline from 68.38 million kg in the same month of 2024. The production volume of the CTC variety was 117.84 million kg, followed by orthodox at 13.82 million kg, and green tea at 1.84 million kg. Silver futures jump Rs 885 to Rs 1,11,143/kg
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 4 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday jumped Rs 885 to Rs 1,11,143 per kilogram in futures trade as participants increased their bets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery increased by Rs 885 or 0.8 per cent to Rs 1,11,143 per kg in a business turnover of 20,675 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said. Globally, silver for September contract was trading 0.12 per cent higher at USD 37.08 per ounce in New York.
