Inter Milan are heading into the summer transfer window.
And there are a number of priority areas in the squad that the Nerazzurri want to address.
However, above all, it looks to be in attack where Inter will really focus their attention.
This season, Inter have relied upon Marko Arnautovic, Mehdi Taremi, and Joaquin Correa as backups to starting strikers Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
However, these backups have not proven to be consistent enough. There is a feeling that Inter's attack has really suffered when coach Simone Inzaghi has rotated.
Meanwhile, Arnautovic and Correa will both be on their way as their contracts expire at the end of June.

Therefore, the aim this summer is to reinvigorate the attack.

The Corriere confirm that Inter want to sign not just one, but two new strikers.
And the priority is clearly to sign younger attackers with room to grow and improve.
One of the names towards the top of Inter's list is Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The Dutchman has endured an underwhelming debut campaign with United. However, Inter continue to hold him in regard based on his form for Bologna.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri could offer Zirkzee an exit route from Old Trafford.

Moreover, the former Bayern Munich striker's wages of €3.5 million net per season would be attainable for the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, the Corriere report, Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny has risen up Inter's shortlist in attack.
At 21 years of age, Inter believe that Bonny will only continue improving after an impressive debut campaign in Serie A.
However, the Corriere note, while Zirkzee and Bonny both offer a lot in terms of holdup play, neither are prolific goalscorers.
Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, Inter have not exited the race to sign Jonathan David on a free transfer.
Particularly if the Canadian were to lower his demands in terms of agent commissions, he would be another major target for Inter in attack.

The former Real Madrid midfielder was a player the Nerazzurri as having the right profile to thrive under Simone Inzaghi. However, the arrival of Fabregas on the bench would add a different dimension to Inter's interest in Paz. With Fabregas at the helm, Inter wouldn't just be speculating that their coach can get the best out of Paz. Advertisement On the contrary, the former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder has already unlocked Paz's best form in a season at Como. Therefore, the Corriere report, if Fabregas does become Inter coach, the Nerazzurri would consider it their biggest 'dream' of the summer to bring in the Argentine. One way or another, the newspaper anticipate, attacking midfield will be a priority area to reinforce at if Fabregas does come in. Davide Frattesi could be on his way out no matter what. And then, players like Nicola Zalewski and Luis Henrique should suit Fabregas's football well. But having Paz continue his remarkable growth from last season would be the ultimate dream.

This is highlighted in today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Cesc Fabregas has only just finished his first season coaching in Serie A. It was a season with some ups and downs for the Spaniard's young Como side. They were far from without flaws or naivety as they found their feet in the top flight. However, on balance, there is little doubt that Fabregas and Como overachieved significantly for a newly-promoted team. VERONA, ITALY – MAY 18: Cesc Fabregas, Como manager, looks on before kick off at the Serie A match between Verona and Como at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on May 18, 2025 in Verona, Italy. (Photo by) Fabregas has certainly reaped the benefits of taking the risk of joining Como. First as a player, and then as their talismanic young coach. And as the Gazzetta note, Cesc Fabregas has always been a precocious overachiever. Ever since he became a key player for Arsenal at the age of sixteen. Advertisement Now, the 38-year-old will need to decide whether the right next step would be to take over at one of Italy's biggest and most historic clubs. Inter will certainly offer Fabregas an enticing project. And the chance to shine on the very biggest stage. However, on the other hand, the risks would be obvious. If Fabregas leaves Como after just one season, he could struggle to adjust, and seriously derail what has been extremely positive momentum so far.
