Manchester United Are In The Mix To Land This Ligue 1 Keeper: Should Amorim Go For Him?

In a recent report, L'Equipe mentioned that Manchester United are in the mix to land Paris Saint-Germain keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to rival Manchester City in the race to land the Italian goalie. Donnarumma's Impressive Run Of Form In Ligue 1 Donnarumma had a solid campaign at the French club recently after he put in a handful of impressive performances in goal for them in Ligue 1. He also helped PSG win the UEFA Champions League trophy earlier this summer. The 26-year-old conceded 43 goals and kept 17 clean sheets in 47 appearances for his current employers last season on all fronts. He even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 87.3% in Ligue 1 (stats via His current contract at the French club will expire at the end of next season which could give Man United a chance to sign him on a cut-price deal this summer. (Photo by) Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Go For Donnarumma? Donnarumma can use his strong 1.96m to dominate his penalty box. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few solid saves at the back for his side. The Italian custodian has got a wealth of experience at the highest level. However, he might need some time to settle into life in the Premier League if Man United manage to bring him on board this summer. We can expect Donnarumma to add more quality to Man United boss Ruben Amorim's first XI. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club and would serve as an upgrade over Andre Onana. Donnarumma might even help the Red Devils get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League next season. At 26, the Italian goalie has his best years ahead of him which makes him a worthy target for Man United to pursue in this transfer window. All in all, Amorim would be wise to go for a keeper of Donnarumma's quality before the end of this summer transfer window.

Liverpool, PSG Target Gives Tottenham Bad News Amid Real Madrid Uncertainty

Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid is uncertain following an underwhelming showing at the FIFA Club World Cup. With the transfer window now open, speculation about a potential move is gaining momentum. PSG's role in the situation remains unclear. According to Foot Mercato's Josué Cassé, the Brazilian forward is not currently a target for PSG, contradicting a report from Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, who also stated that Tottenham Hotspur are not pursuing him. Still, Plettenberg has maintained that both Liverpool and PSG are keeping a close watch on Rodrygo. PSG have shown real interest and continue to search for a top young winger, though any move will likely depend on how the market develops in the coming weeks. What's the latest on Liverpool, PSG transfer target? FlorenciaAccording to Foot Mercato's Santi Aouna, Rodrygo isn't interested in joining Tottenham, despite recent speculation. While Spurs are said to have made an inquiry, there are no active talks. If the Brazilian leaves Real Madrid, his sights are set on a club with a higher profile than Tottenham. CaughtOffside reported Saturday that Real Madrid explored a bold move to tempt Manchester City into talks—offering Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and €40 million in exchange for Rodri. But Manchester City have no plans to part ways with one of their key players. Under new sporting director Hugo Viana, the club is working on a contract extension that would keep Rodri at the Etihad through the 2029–2030 season, hoping to lock in his long-term future and shut down any transfer speculation. Meanwhile, Diario AS recently reported that Real Madrid are now open to lowering their asking price for Rodrygo in order to facilitate a summer move. They're willing to consider offers below €90 million.

‘Aiming for a bigger club' – Real Madrid star rejects Premier League switch

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has rejected the advances of Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur. That's according to transfer insider Santi Aouna, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation. The name of frontman Rodrygo has of course reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the headlines across Spain and England alike over recent days. This comes after a string of reports were forthcoming, confirming serious interest in the Brazilian's services on the part of the aforementioned Tottenham. The Spurs brass are understood to have gone as far as to initiate contacts with Rodrygo's entourage, to gauge his interest in a joining of forces for next season. As alluded to above, however, if the latest update to have surfaced online on Monday evening is anything to go by, then those of a Tottenham persuasion need not get their hopes up… As per a report from journalist Santi Aouna: 'Rodrygo has no interest in joining Tottenham despite reports. Spurs made an inquiry, but there's no talk ongoing. If Rodrygo leaves Real Madrid, he's aiming for a bigger club than Tottenham.' Conor Laird – GSFN
