An Afrikaner 'refugee' family has reportedly been left stranded in the US, and is appealing for help on Facebook.
The startling revelation was made by a South African expat on TikTok.
Two groups of white South Africans have taken up 'refugee status' in the US in recent weeks, as part of a programme open to 'persecuted' people.

TOn her TikTok account, South African expat @catmpt revealed that she had come across an Afrikaner 'refugee' family in dire need of help.
The family of four was reportedly stranded at a hotel in Montana without food, money, or a cellphone. Instead, they had reached out to a Facebook group for help.

A British man has walked away from the wreckage of the Air India crash that killed everyone else on board in an extraordinary tale of survival. Vishwashkumar Ramesh was in seat 11A on the London-bound Boeing 787-8 flight when it crashed shortly after take off in Ahmedabad, western India. Ramesh's brother, Nayan Kumar Ramesh, told BBC News that Vishwashkumar 'has no idea how he survived' and escaped the plane as the only survivor. Video shared on social media showed Ramesh walking towards an ambulance, with smoke billowing in the background. He was later seen in a hospital bed meeting Indian interior minister Amit Shah.
