Wales star nearing rugby league return
Wales wing Regan Grace is nearing a return to rugby league, with ambitious Championship outfit York Knights leading the chase for the 28-year-old. Reports suggest the Port Talbot product, who was released by Cardiff at the end of last season, has been actively pursuing a return to the 13-a-side code in recent weeks.
All Out Rugby League are reporting that Grace has been made available to Championship clubs, including league leaders Knights - who are in the midst of a high-profile recruitment drive as they bid to reach Super League.
Warrington Wolves prop Paul Vaughan has already signed, with York Knights head coach Mark Applegarth saying recently they are "an ambitious club", although there was nothing official to add on Grace. Grace had admitted back in April that he was exploring his options, with a return to league certainly an option.
The wing had made his name with St Helens, before switching codes to try his hand at rugby union. Injury stopped him making an appearance for Racing 92, before short spells with Bath and Cardiff.

He did tour Australia last summer with Wales, featuring in the uncapped match against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane.
England star's rapid rise continues
England back-row Henry Pollock has been named as one of the 25 players to gain an Enhanced Elite Player Squad contract for the 2025/26 season.
The British and Irish Lions tourist, who was first capped by England earlier this year, has enjoyed a rapid rise. As such, he's been rewarded with one of the special deals, which provide a guaranteed annual salary in place of match fees.
Flanker Ben Curry is another of the new additions, joining his brother Tom, while Tom Willis has also been included.
Others to get a central contract who missed out when the first batch were handed out last October include Fin Baxter, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Elliot Daly, Joe Heyes, Tom Roebuck and Will Stuart.
Saracens hooker Theo Dan is the only player out of the original 17 to miss out.
'I am pleased to name the players who will receive an enhanced EPS contract this season,' said England head coach Steve Borthwick.
'These contracts, together with our strong relationship with the Premiership clubs, will continue to play an important role in the ongoing development of England Rugby.'
Welsh rugby game moved
The Scarlets' second match of the United Rugby Championship season has been shifted back a day due to stadium redevelopments in Galway.
Dwayne Peel's side start their season at home to Munster on September 27 before travelling to Ireland the following week to take on Connacht.
Initially, that was scheduled to be played on Friday October 3.

However, with Connacht's Dexcom Stadium being redeveloped, the match will instead take place on Saturday, October 4 at 1.45pm.
The reason for the move is to "support on-going work at the venue and provide the best possible experience for fans of both teams attending the game".
Springboks explain surprise selection
Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus has revealed his thinking behind putting captain Siya Kolisi at No. 8 for Saturday's Rugby Championship clash with Australia.
The two-time World Cup-winning skipper will start in the unfamiliar position for South Africa - although he does play a lot of his domestic rugby for the Sharks at the back of the scrum.
With Jasper Wiese, Cameron Hanekom and Elrigh Louw all suspended or injured, Erasmus has turned to Kolisi to fill in against the Wallabies - with the selection allowing him to target Joe Schmidt's side. 'We actually changed our mind there," said Erasmus. "The more we practise and prepare we realise that the only position the guy already plays at eight is at scrums.

"Scrums is probably a thing that happens 13 or 14 times in a game,' said Erasmus at the team announcement in Sandton on Monday.
'But general play is probably the thing that happens the most when we're having a guy like Pieter-Steph [Du Toit] and Marco [Van Staden] and Siya on the field at the same time. We really feel Australia is a big threat at the breakdown. They really bind hard at the breakdown and all three of those guys are really good.'

Three more Strictly Come Dancing contestants announced on The One Show
The trio were announced as the latest recruits for the upcoming season live on BBC One's The One Show on Monday. Speaking from the studio after her reveal, former Love Island winner Dyer said: 'It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. 'I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun.' Former Chelsea footballer Hasselbaink said: 'I'm a father of only girls and Strictly is a part of our home life – I like the show. 'Let's have a go.' He added: 'It's totally out of my comfort zone. 'Playing football in front of 60,000 or 70,000 people is easy but dancing with a partner who knows it 10 times, 100 times, better than you is crazy.' Hasselbaink also teased the idea that he might be bringing a few of his former footballing friends along to watch live. 'I'm in contact with Robbie (Fowler), with Carlo Cudicini, so who knows,' he said. They join Olympic sprinter and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, who was the first contestant confirmed for the 2025 line-up earlier in the day. Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro on the rebooted Gladiators, previously competed in last year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and described his decision to return as 'so nice I just had to do it twice'. In July, the BBC announced that two 'incredible' new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show, which starts this autumn. Emma Raducanu stops match and asks crying child to be EJECTED from stadium
Emma Raducanu took a quick break to complain when a child was loudly crying during a tense exchange. Raducanu was taking on the world number one Aryna Sabalenka in a gruelling contest in the third round of the Cincinnati Open. And no period was more energy sapping than a Raducanu service game that lasted more than 20 minutes in the third set. With the score at 3-4 to her opponent, the British star was forced to battle in an epic game that went to deuce 13 times. Raducanu faced numerous break points, but there was a moment of controversy when she stopped in her service action to point out that a child in the crowd was crying. "It's been, like, 10 minutes," she said to the umpire after moving to the back of the court. The umpire then loudly responded: "It's a child. Do you want me to kick the child out of the stadium?" After asking the question, a large number of fans also in attendance can be heard responding: "Yes!" Manchester United fans' group postpones protest against owners
The 1958 had organised a protest march to Old Trafford on August 17, ahead of United's clash with Arsenal, with banners referring to minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. 'Jim Ratcliffe chose to get into bed with the Glazers and, in our opinion, is helping keep them in charge,' said a group representative, who added Ratcliffe was 'no saviour' and 'like a (red) devil in disguise,' last week. However, after conducting a survey, the group has acknowledged opinion is split and the time is not right for a protest. A statement read: 'With a fanbase as diverse and passionate as ours, finding the right balance isn't always easy. We've had to consider momentum, timing, fan appetite, broader consequences of protest activity whilst assessing how current and future decisions may impact us as fans. 'Given the current sentiment within the fanbase and particularly in light of these recent survey results, it's clear there is no unified view on the direction of the club under Ratcliffe. 'That split is real, and we believe it would be irresponsible to risk creating a situation that could result in any 'red on red' conflict inside or outside the stadium.' The group say almost 63 per cent of the near 26,000 respondents to their survey said Ratcliffe and his Ineos company should be held to account for their decisions so far by means of a protest. However, 68 per cent also believed they should be given more time.
