Search for missing busker continues over two weeks after disappearance
Lewis Cuthbert was last seen around 4pm on Monday, August 4, in the Lesmahagow Road area in Strathaven.
The 25-year-old is described as around 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short brown curly hair.
Officers have issued a new description of what he was wearing when he left his home.
Lewis was wearing a yellow and brown 'bomber' style jacket with white fur inside with a large collar/hood, and jeans.
He is known to frequent Glasgow city centre to busk, however officers said he is known to travel to other areas in Scotland.
As it is festival season in Edinburgh, he may have travelled to the capital.
Police said he may be carrying a black backpack, a Bluetooth speaker and a microphone.
Inspector Billy Sloan said: 'Unfortunately, despite a significant search for Lewis, there have been no sightings of him since he went missing from Strathaven.
'His family are understandably very concerned for his welfare and just want him to come home.
'Specialist officers continue to search where he was last seen, and police colleagues in Glasgow and Edinburgh have been searching for him too.
'We have issued this appeal in the hope that Lewis himself will see that people what to make sure he is safe and to get in touch.
'We'd also hope to reach any of his friends or people he may have stayed with over the last two weeks. We'd urge them, or anyone who knows where he may be, or who has information that will help trace him, to call police or advise him to go home.
'We'd remind people to check their gardens, sheds or out-houses in case he had sought shelter locally.'

Four men charged after drugs seized from home and car
Four men have been charged after drugs were discovered at a house and within a car in Aberdeen. Officers acting on intelligence attended a property on Sluie Drive at around 2.30pm on Wednesday. A quantity of cash, diamorphine and crack cocaine were seized. Officers charged a 19-year-old man in connection. Officers also stopped a car on West North Street at around 3.10pm. and quantities of cocaine, cannabis and cash were recovered. Three men, aged 21, 29 and 36, were arrested and charged in connection. All four men were due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday. Around £6000 worth of drugs was recovered while £6945 in cash was seized in total. Detective Constable Nicholas Bowyer said: 'These arrests underline our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy. Taking drugs off the street is a priority for Police Scotland. 'Anybody with any information or concerns about drugs within their community should contact Police via 101 where we can then investigate.' Warning as four Scots scammed out of £29,000 by online 'employment fraudsters'
Police Scotland have warned that "scams of this nature can be difficult to spot and anyone can be fooled". Four people in Scotland have been scammed out of a combined £29,000 by online employment fraudsters. Police Scotland are investigating four reports of fraud in the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray areas after the victims involved were scammed out of over £29,000. Members of the public are told they can make money by 'liking' certain online videos, with people believing they are employed by the online platform provider. As time goes on, after liking a number of online videos the victims are encouraged to pay to unlock the next level of tasks. The scammer promises the victim that they will earn higher rewards with a high level of investment. Victims will sign up to a website owned by the scammer and will see an online balance which will increase as the victim pays more money and likes more videos. However, the money is never returned and the victims are never paid, despite many people believing they are employed they are in fact being scammed. Constable Michael Adam, Divisional Cyber Enabled Team, in Aberdeen said: 'Scams of this nature can be difficult to spot and anyone can be fooled. These fraudsters are experts at impersonating people and organisations. "If something sounds too good to be true it usually is. Only sign up with legitimate and verified companies and if you have any doubts, delete it." Earlier this month, in a separate incident, we reported that accommodation providers and travellers are being urged to remain vigilant following reports of scam emails targeting hotel bookings on the Isle of Barra. A local hotel has reported that several guests with upcoming reservations have received fraudulent emails requesting their bank details under the guise of "confirming" their bookings. These emails originate from addresses not associated with the hotel, raising concerns about a potential phishing scam. Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing. Authorities are encouraging all accommodation providers - as well as individuals with plans to stay on the island - to be alert to any suspicious communication regarding their bookings.
