Create Account Fans at a Rufus Du Sol show were horrified when a man began pummelling a woman and her friends at the stadium in Pasadena, Calif. — all of which was captured on camera. Shelby Elston, from Phoenix, Ariz., said she blacked out and woke up in the venue's medical tent, according to a Facebook post. The mother of three said it all started when her fiance accidentally spilled his drink on another concertgoer. That guy stormed off but returned shortly after, screaming death threats. Elston said she got between the two men in attempt to stop it from escalating, but soon became the victim when the man knocked her into the bleachers and hit her repeatedly — even after she had been knocked out cold. He punched two other men as the crowd pulled him off her. 'This man PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE! I was completely knocked out and there was blood pouring from my face,' Elston wrote on Facebook. He then 'continued to attack' her fiance and another friend, she detailed, before he 'ran off into the crowd never to be seen again.' Elston added that she spent the rest of the concert in the venue's medical tent before making it safely back to her hotel. Aubrey Plaza describes grief over husband Jeff Baena's death: An ‘ocean of awfulness'
Aubrey Plaza has described her grief over husband Jeff Baena's death, likening it to 'a giant ocean of awfulness.' The actor spoke on the podcast Good Hang with Amy Poehler, telling her former Parks and Recreation costar in her most detailed public remarks to date that it's been a daily struggle to overcome her grief. Writer-director Baena's January death at age 47 was ruled a suicide. 'Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning,' Plaza tells Poehler at the outset of their interview after being asked how she is coping. 'I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm OK. But it's like a daily struggle, obviously.' She likens her grief to an image from an Apple TV+ horror movie starring Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. Plaza asks Poehler. 'In the movie, there's a cliff on one side and then there's a cliff on the other side, and there's a gorge in between, and its filled with all these monster people trying to get them,' Plaza says. 'And I swear when I watched it I was like, 'That feels like what my grief is like,' or what grief could be like … where it's like at all times, there's a giant ocean of awfulness that's right there and I can see it.' Story continues below advertisement Plaza adds: 'And sometimes I just want to dive into it, and just be in it, and sometimes I just look at it. And then sometimes I try to get away from it. But it's just always there, and the monster people are trying to get me, like Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy.' Baena was a writer and director who frequently collaborated with Plaza. He cowrote David O. Russell's 2004 film I Heart Huckabees and wrote and directed five of his own films. Plaza starred in his 2014 directorial debut, the zombie comedy Life After Beth. After largely remaining silent since Baena's death, Plaza is now promoting her new film, Honey Don't! The dark comedy from director Ethan Coen has Margaret Qualley as a private investigator looking into nefarious goings-on in Bakersfield, California. Influencers capture moment SUV crashes into Texas restaurant during filming
Two influencers narrowly escaped a deadly situation as an SUV smashed through a restaurant window in the midst of their food review — and the shocking moment was caught on camera. Social media influencers Nina Santiago (also known as NinaUnrated) and Patrick Blackwood were enjoying a meal at Cuvees Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas, when a car crashed through a restaurant window and hit their table, knocking the pair to the floor and sending shattered glass flying everywhere. They were filming themselves eating sliders at the restaurant on Aug. 16 around 4:40 p.m. local time. As they took a bite out of the sliders, the vehicle plowed into the window. 'Tomorrow Is NOT Promised…,' Santiago wrote on X after the incident. She also shared photos of her injuries after the crash on Instagram, which showed cuts on her face and arms from the broken glass. Story continues below advertisement 'I am beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @IAmPatrickBlackwood and I recorded an eating show,' she wrote in her caption. Out of nowhere, but we survived,' she added. Santiago said the experience 'showed me who truly matters; life's too short for grudges or anger.' 'Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could've been our last meal,' she added. Blackwood also shared a post to Instagram showing his injuries. 'Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose. Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count,' he wrote. Story continues below advertisement The driver of the SUV was reportedly heading to the restaurant for an event. 'The female driver of the vehicle advised that she thought she had placed the vehicle in park and upon releasing her foot off the brake, the vehicle rolled into the business, striking the building, and breaking the glass,' a spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff's Office told the New York Post. 'There were two people inside the business, one male and one female, sitting inside in a booth that were injured and transported to a local area hospital,' they added. Santiago and Blackwood also addressed the incident in a YouTube caption that accompanied a video on their channel. 'We can't even begin to express how incredibly fortunate we feel to be alive after what happened to us,' the pair wrote. 'We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a 'boom!' cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph.' 'No warning at all glass shattered everywhere, chaos erupted, and it hit right next to Patrick on the outside of the booth. We were inches from disaster, but by some miracle, we're both okay, just shaken and forever changed,' they added.
