Brit Awards 2025 red carpet latest: From JADE to Charli XCX, the most daring looks
The annual ceremony is being held at the O2 Arena in London, where comedian Jack Whitehall is playing host to some of the biggest artists across pop, rock and rap.
While the Brits red carpet isn't necessarily known for the most avant-garde of fashion choices, a number of attendees opted for some surprisingly bold looks.

Here are some of the most daring looks at this year's ceremony.
Sabrina Carpenter
US pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, one of 2024's biggest breakout stars, looked sensational in a floor-length baby pink gown with a fishtail and train, ruched skirt and sparkling silver embellishments, complete with a dazzling diamond necklace and rings, and her blonde hair loose in long curls.
Charli XCX
The pioneering pop artist was giving 'black widow spider' in her dramatic ensemble, a black halterneck dress with sheer panelling and matching veil, paired with sultry gothic-style makeup and dangling silver earrings.
JADE
Former Little Mix star turned solo artist JADE was resplendent in a full-skirted bridal gown by Diesel in palest blue with a ribbed bodice, flowing silk train and floral-style sleeves and neckline, with a matching silk bouquet.
Teddy Swims
The rapper and singer turned heads with a suit embellished with dozens of plush toys, including sharks, monkeys, dogs and teddy bears, plus a giant unicorn with sequinned hooves.
Lola Young
The 'Messy' singer, who was nominated for the Brits Rising Star award in 2021 and was up for Best Pop Act at this year's ceremony, looked effortlessly cool in a white silk bodice with a string of pearls serving as a belt, paired with a slouchy faux leather and velvet jacket.
Will Njobvu
The TV presenter and podcast host looked fantastic in an all-black ensemble of a skirt and cropped blazer, with black patent leather or faux-leather boots, accessorised with a studded choker and silver metal detailing.
Maura Higgins
Love Island star Maura Higgins opted for a dramatic black, floor-length sheer gown with bright floral detailing.
Joe Keery
The Stranger Things actor and musician, who is set to release his new album The Crux next month under his moniker Djo, opted for a smart casual look with dark jeans, boots and a colourful knit and pinstripe blazer.
CMAT
Irish singer CMAT looked fantastic in a gold dress with black diamond pattern and black bustier, paired with gold jewel-studded choker, earrings and a fur coat.
Pioneering pop artist Charli XCX dominates this year's ceremony with five nominations, including for Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for her critically lauded, trend-setting record Brat.
Following with four nods apiece are acts including pop singer Dua Lipa, baroque pop band The Last Dinner Party, and Mercury Prize-winning jazz group Ezra Collective.
The Song of the Year category was arguably the most diverse – at least in terms of genre – set of nominations in recent memory, with TikTok-friendly stars like Artemas and KSI muscling up against The Beatles and Coldplay.

Netflix Could Lose ‘Stranger Things' Creators After Season 5 To Paramount+
The world of streaming can be competitive to the point of being cutthroat, and there's a development brewing between Netflix and Paramount that may not go well for the former. Variety reports that Stranger Things creators/showrunners the Duffer Brothers are in 'advanced negotiations' to make movies and shows for Paramount. An existing connection there is that Cindy Holland, Paramount's new streaming head, was the exec who originally greenlit Stranger Things at Netflix, and the rest is history. It wouldn't just be an instant departure. Despite working hard on finishing Stranger Things , the Duffer Brothers have two new series coming in 2026, The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going To Happen. There's also an animated Stranger Things feature coming. Rumors of Stranger Things spin-offs have been circulating for a while, and one of those still seems to be in place. But long-term, losing the architects of one of Netflix's most popular series of all time would be less than ideal for them, and it would be a big boon for Paramount+, a service anchored on legacy series and piles of new shows from Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan like Tulsa King and Landman . Stranger Things will end with season 5 this year with a somewhat ridiculous airing schedule of four episodes airing on November 26, three episode on Christmas Day and the last episode on New Year's Day, as somehow Netflix remains allergic to a true week-to-week offering, opting for these odd breaks instead (currently, Wednesday season 2 is on hiatus until its second half airs in September). We have seen plenty of departures like this before. A recent high profile one was Mike Flanagan, who made such Netflix classics like The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass . Now he's over at Amazon doing Carrie and The Dark Tower series. Netflix is clearly looking for its next Stranger Things -sized hit. That show and Squid Game end this year, though fortunately it does have Wednesday to run for the foreseeable future. It does, however, remain the clear, unequivocal powerhouse in the streaming industry. A recent report said Netflix earns more than all its major streaming rivals combined, and its revenue is surging. Even with big shows ending, it keeps producing consistent hits and retaining subscribers. Paramount+, however, has been on the up after adding a number of well-watched series and distancing itself from a service it was once compared to, Peacock, which is losing boatloads of money. Grabbing the Duffer Brothers for new projects would be a big get for Paramount, but this deal is not done yet. Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , and Instagram . Every Cool Girl Is Filling Their Suitcase With This Summer Holiday-Perfect Brand
While many fashionably minded people consider autumn to be the best season to get dressed in, some of us are of the opinion that summer is actually sartorially supreme. In particular, summer holiday outfits. Cotton and gauzy ensembles that look best while enjoying a post-shower, pre-dinner packet of exotically flavoured crisps on a sun-drenched balcony in particular. And which brand did all the cool girls seemingly roll into their carry-ons over the last few months? Fruity Booty. A brand for the natty wine-drinking, Marseille-visiting and rock-jumping among us, Fruity Booty was worn by everyone from performance artist Charli XCX and entrepreneur Matilda Djerf to broadcaster Amelia Dimoldenberg and actor Deba Hekmat in the summer of 2025. Buoyed by it's oh-so-now embrace of bloomers, polka-dots and thigh-skimming hemlines, the London-based brand is chock full of the kind of pieces you can take from beach to bar with ease. Fruity Booty started off as solely an underwear brand in 2017, and since fashion is obsessed with wearing underwear as outerwear, it's perhaps unsurprising founder Hattie Tennant introduced swimwear and ready-to-wear pieces. The brand has a claim to sustainability too - working with deadstock materials, ensuring the eternal appeal of limited runs as well as a little less eco guilt. They also are big on community, bringing women like Ellie Bouhadana on board to host dinner parties and pop ups for their dedicated fan base. And, perhaps most notably in a cost of living crisis, most of their offerings come in at under £100. 'I love Fruity's playfulness. As a brand (and as a team) they have fun and don't take themselves too seriously while still making sweet and chic collections,' Chef Ellie Bouhadana and dedicated Fruity Booty girl, says of the brand. 'I love the ease of slipping on a Fruity one-piece with shorts for the beach and then replacing the shorts with a pair of jeans and heels for an evening look.' With a Y2K feel but plenty wearable, if you've got one last jaunt to the Aegean booked in, consider a few Fruity Booty bits to make that post holiday Instagram dump really do numbers.
