5 Stars Threatened with Leaving Chelsea Before the Premier League Start

Amir Haggag Chelsea are in a crucial transfer window this summer, as they seek to offload a number of players before the start of the 2025-26 season. Reports indicate that the club's management has drawn up a list of several prominent players threatened with departure, as they are no longer in the coach's plans for the new season. At the forefront of these players is Portuguese forward Joao Felix. According to The Sun, the Blues have reached an agreement to sell the player to Saudi club Al-Nassr for £43.7 million. Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for £38.4 million before being loaned to Italian club AC Milan last January, a spell that proved unsuccessful. Chelsea are also seeking to offload several other players this summer. Striker Nicolas Jackson has attracted interest from several clubs, most notably Manchester United, and his departure cannot be ruled out. Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who joined the team last summer, has also become a target for Fulham, who are preparing a loan bid with an option to buy. The 26-year-old has barely featured in the Premier League since his £30 million move from Leicester City last summer. Fulham are also continuing negotiations with Arsenal over a deal for Reiss Nelson, who came on as a substitute in their friendly against AC Milan in Singapore. In a related development, Portuguese midfielder Renato Veiga is reportedly set to join Atletico Madrid, while Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are reportedly keen to leave the club. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani

Zamalek Announces New Deal After Al-Juffali's Departure

Amir Haggag Zamalek officials are awaiting the conclusion of negotiations with Pharco Club regarding the signing of Ahmed Al-Juffali, a first-team player, to resolve the team's foreign player crisis. Zamalek currently has five players in its ranks: Mahmoud Bentayj, Chico Banza (new signing), Seif El-Jaziri, Salah Musaddaq, and Ahmed Al-Juffali. Once the Al-Juffali deal with Pharco is completed, Zamalek will announce its new deal to make room for the new player. Pharco Club is close to resolving the crisis with Tunisian Ahmed Al-Juffali, Zamalek's player, after most previous attempts to loan the player to any club in Egypt failed. Tunisian clubs insisted on obtaining his services for free or for a low fee that would not satisfy Zamalek's management. Al-Juffali is keen to continue in the Egyptian Premier League, which has prompted Pharco Club officials to enter serious negotiations to sign the player on loan. This move will relieve pressure on Zamalek regarding the foreign player issue and allow the club to register new foreign players in preparation for the next season. Al-Jafali refuses to leave Zamalek unless he plays in the Egyptian Premier League, as he is committed to playing in Egypt. He was offered to Al-Ittihad Alexandria and Al-Masry Port Said, but Al-Ittihad rejected the player based on the wishes of technical director Ahmed Sami, as well as Al-Masry Club. He was close to joining Pharco in the coming days, provided that all financial details are agreed upon between the two clubs, amid a shared desire to quickly resolve the matter. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani

Swimming: O'Callaghan closes on more world gold to banish post-Paris blues - Omni sports

Olympic champion Mollie O'Callaghan safely negotiated her way into the semi-finals of the 200m freestyle at the swimming world championships on Tuesday as she attempts to shake off the post-Paris blues. The 21-year-old Australian former world record holder, who has spoken candidly about trying to live up to big expectations, was third-fastest in the heats in 1min 57.04sec. New Zealand's 2024 silver medallist Erika Fairweather was fastest on day three of competition in Singapore in 1:56.54, ahead of Erin Gemmell of the United States (1:56.74). O'Callaghan, a five-time Olympic gold medallist, is red-hot favourite in the event. At the Australian trials last month she became emotional when talking about coming down from the high of the Olympics in the French capital a year ago. "I don't think there's been anything as hard as this, coming here and trying to race and trying to, you know, defend my Olympic status in a way," she said in Adelaide in June. She declined to talk to reporters following her heat on Tuesday in Singapore, where she had helped Australia win 4x100m freestyle relay gold on Sunday for her ninth world title. O'Callaghan is also a gold-medal prospect in the 100m freestyle. O'Callaghan arrived in Paris with her 200m freestyle world record just broken by fellow Australian Ariarne Titmus and under enormous pressure. She rose to the occasion, edging Titmus to win gold. She was also a key part of Australia's 4×100m freestyle and 4×200m freestyle gold-medal winning teams. Titmus is on a season-long break and not competing in Singapore. Also on Tuesday morning, Ireland's Paris Olympics gold medallist and defending world champion Daniel Wiffen reached the final of the men's 800m freestyle eighth-fastest in 7:46.36. Quickest was Tunisia's Ahmed Jaouadi (7:41.58), with Germany's Lukas Maertens also safely through in 7:45.54. Maertens is chasing a Singapore double after victory in the 400m free. China's 2023 triple world breaststroke champion Qin Haiyang, who reclaimed the 100m title on Monday, had plenty left in the tank to qualify for the 50m semi-finals in 26.98sec. Italy's Simone Cerasuolo was quickest in the heats in 26.42sec. There are five finals later Tuesday, with world record holder Katie Ledecky the overwhelming favourite in the 1500m freestyle. The 28-year-old United States great is chasing a career 22nd world crown. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter at @AO_Sports and on Facebook at AhramOnlineSports.)
