What Time Does ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3, Episode 5 Come Out?

Forbes14 hours ago
As we approach Episode 5 of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, we've already seen cheating, a breakup, an engagement and plenty of drama between Belly, Jeremiah, and their families ahead of their wedding.
But Episode 5 might break fans entirely, as it's rumored to be Conrad's POV episode — where he takes over the narration from Belly and reveals all his inner thoughts. He's now alone in Cousins with Belly, after she ran away from home and Jeremiah went back to his internship. It also appears that he canceled his flight back to California to stay with her after walking in on her crying.
A clue that Episode 5 could be narrated by Conrad appeared at the end of Episode 4. After baking Belly "dirt bombs" for her birthday and giving her a hug, we hear his narration. "What have I done?" he says.
"It's cool to steal the voiceover spot for a little while," Christopher Briney told Entertainment Weekly about his upcoming POV episode. 'It's fun to have the insight. It's fun to have exactly what the subtext is. It makes the scene easier, because that's half the work.'
Keep reading to find out what time Episode 5 drops, how to watch and what happened in last week's emotional episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty.

What Happened In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, Episode 4?
In Season 3, Episode 4 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, it's Belly's birthday, and she's still trying to make the most of the celebration while her parents disapprove of her wedding plans. Jeremiah is not enthusiastic about his summer internship with his dad's company, and the last thing his dad wants to talk about is the wedding.
When Belly asks Laurel to go dress shopping with her, she says she can't. She is still firm in her belief that Belly and Jeremiah are too young. Instead, Belly goes dress shopping with Taylor and her mother, Lucinda. Belly finds her dream dress, but the moment is soured by the fact that her mom isn't there.
But one of the most intense moments of the episode was an exchange between Laurel, Belly, and Jeremiah at Belly's home. In trying to win over Laurel's approval, Jeremiah says that he wants to be with Belly for the rest of his life and believes his mom would have wanted them all to be a family. However, Laurel responds by saying they'll never truly know what his mother would have wanted.
Belly storms out of the house after the fight and runs away to Cousins with Jeremiah. After falling asleep on the couch, she wakes up to see Conrad standing there. Conrad hasn't told them that he got fired from his summer clinic yet, but assures them that he's on his way out. Meanwhile, Belly is planning on staying at the house for the time being, while Jeremiah has to go back to his internship.
Jeremiah finally pulls Conrad aside to ask him to be his best man, but his brother didn't give him the answer he was looking for. Conrad tells Jeremiah that when you really think about it, their engagement is "kind of ridiculous.' Jeremiah leaves, and Belly is left to go through her things in her bedroom at Cousins, reminiscing on special moments with Susannah and her mom, like getting her big girl bed and wearing the white debutante dress.
The emotions become too much for her, and Belly breaks down and cries into her pillow. Conrad, who is ready to leave to head back to California, overhears her sobs. He appears to change his mind and decides to stay in Cousins — and he also lets Jeremiah know that he'll actually be his best man after all.
Belly finds Conrad to thank him for being a good sport. 'For what it's worth, I think it's good. The two of you,' he says to her. 'You obviously make each other really happy.' He also wishes her a happy belated birthday and bakes some 'dirt bombs." When she goes to hug him, for the first time, viewers get to hear what he's thinking. 'What have I done?' his thoughts say. Move over Jeremiah, we're so ready for Conrad's POV!

The host of "The Tonight Show" also plays songs from "Hamilton" on children's instruments alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda Most people probably didn't know what to think about the reports that Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, currently the acting head of NASA, will announce this week that the United States intends to build a nuclear reactor on the moon for some reason. But during his monologue on Tuesday's 'The Tonight Show,' Jimmy Fallon drew an amusing, useful lesson from it. 'There's some more news from Washington. The Trump administration will soon announce plans to build a nuclear reactor on the moon. I love how you can read the news and tell exactly how much sleep Trump's getting,' Fallon joked. After this, Fallon did an extended sketch inspired by Donald Trump firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because it released a jobs report he didn't like. The sketch involved a fictional Trump official, played by an actor, explaining a whole bunch of new numbers the administration is rolling out to please Trump. The bit ends with said fictional assistant being arrested for accidentally referring to a number Trump doesn't like. But after he was done with his monologue, Fallon ended the opening of his show with a fun musical performance: He, the 'Tonight Show' house band The Roots, and 'Hamilton' creator Lin-Manuel Miranda all performed some songs from the acclaimed hit musical while playing children's instruments. Stockton city manager investigates $50,000 payment tied to "Wild 'n Out" event

The Stockton City Manager's Office announced Tuesday that an investigation has been launched into a $50,000 payment made months ago. This was allegedly to prevent the cancellation of a comedy show that Vice Mayor Jason Lee was involved with. The "Wild 'n Out" comedy show happened in May at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton. Lee is friends with some of the performers and posted a video of him participating in the event on his Facebook page. The city manager says it has recently come to light that $50,000 from the city's risk mitigation fund was used in connection with the event without his knowledge or approval. Lee is also calling for an independent, outside investigation into all of this, calling it a politically motivated retaliation. He believes this is all in response to his own investigation into budget and hiring concerns by the city manager's office. He discussed this during Monday's Audit Committee meeting. "This whole week has been a political witch hunt to prove somehow that the vice mayor conspired with city staff to go in the bank accounts to give $50,000 to a brand that lost $175,000 on top of the $50,000 in an approved fund that they've used in the past," Lee said in the meeting. "It was also an opportunity to silence the voice of staff who are bringing forward serious concerns with respect to internal controls that are out of control." Mayor Christina Fugazi also commented on his investigation into the city manager's office. "An outside investigator will be looking into money that was authorized to be spent that maybe shouldn't have, or I'm not quite sure. I only say that because it didn't go through the city manager, and all of that kind of stuff should be going through the city manager," Mayor Fugazi said. "Anything that has to do with disbursement of funds, the city manager should know about." Lee also says the Audit Committee reviewed the city's partnership with ASM Global, the event promoter of "Wild 'n Out," created by Nick Cannon. Lee says the committee's recommendation for an outside investigation will go before the city council immediately. The interim city manager says his investigation will look into whether any city policies or procedures were bypassed and if any lines were crossed.
