Taylor Swift's presence at Kansas City Chiefs games may have initially drawn headlines for her romance with
Travis Kelce
, but the ripple effects of her involvement in the NFL world have reached far beyond celebrity buzz. Longtime FOX sideline reporter
Erin Andrews
believes that Swift has played a meaningful role in making the league more accessible and enjoyable for female viewers—and the numbers appear to back her up.
How Taylor Swift helped change the game for women watching the NFL, according to Erin Andrews
During a live taping of her Calm Down podcast with co-host Charissa Thompson at the Cannes Lions 2025 Festival of Creativity, Andrews addressed how Swift's affiliation with the NFL has helped shift the perception of professional football among casual female fans. While answering a question from the audience about coverage of women's sports, Andrews steered the conversation toward the changing demographic landscape of NFL viewership.
'Our ratings are up for women, which is huge for us,' Andrews shared. 'What's really cool is women aren't as afraid. Listen, America's Game of the Week, which is the game I do on Sundays, the demographic is split down the middle. It's like the highest-rated show for women out there, which is amazing for us.'
That surge in interest didn't happen in a vacuum. Andrews pointed to Taylor Swift's popularity and her willingness to step into the NFL spotlight—cheering on Kelce from luxury suites and becoming a visual fixture of Chiefs game days—as a major factor.

'But I think the casual fan doesn't feel as afraid to watch professional sports right now, watch the NFL because, well, our girl Taylor helped out with that,' she said.
'It's cool. Which, we're excited. We want casual fans, we want fans that know a lot. Listen to the podcast, watch our broadcasts, we'll help teach you the game.'
Interestingly, Andrews and Thompson had once publicly encouraged Swift to consider Kelce as a romantic interest.
'If you are looking for a guy, please try our friend Travis, he is fantastic,' Andrews said in a 2023 podcast episode. 'This is one, Taylor, I know we're not the best of friends, we're not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this, go on a date with this guy.'
Swift apparently took that advice to heart. Since going public with Kelce, she's been regularly spotted at NFL games, and in the process, has brought a wave of new fans—especially women—into the league's orbit.
According to Marissa Solis, the NFL's senior vice president of global brand and consumer marketing, nearly 47% of the league's audience now comprises women, a number that continues to climb.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell acknowledged the impact of Swift's involvement. 'Having the 'Taylor Swift effect' is also a positive,' he said. 'Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, and they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment, and I think that's why she loves NFL football.'
While it's unclear how long Swift will remain a regular presence at NFL games, what's evident is that her influence has helped redefine how women connect with the sport. With Andrews continuing her Sunday coverage on FOX and Swift expected to return to the stands for the upcoming season, the NFL may have found one of its most unexpected and effective ambassadors.

'I believe I can do it some more': Neeraj Chopra confident of 90m-plus throws after Paris win

Neeraj Chopra (Photo by) Neeraj Chopra has ticked another box in his illustrious career. He added to his distinguished list of achievements by securing his first Diamond League title win in Paris with an opening throw of 88.16m at Stade Sébastien Charléty on Friday night. Despite a strong challenge from his German rival Julian Weber, who posted an 87.88m throw in his first attempt and ultimately finished second, Neeraj managed to come out on top. The Paris win is Neeraj's first DL title in two years, his last coming in Lausanne in June 2023 where he recorded a throw of 87.66m. Since then, Neeraj had finished second in six DL appearances. Following his triumph, Neeraj said, 'It was a very good start. I felt really good at the start. But I had too much speed today. The runway was perfect, but I couldn't control my speed. I need to do some more work on it. I am happy with the throw also. Neeraj Chopra reigns in the javelin world rankings

Neeraj Chopra of Team India (Photo by) Bengaluru: Neeraj Chopra may have settled for the second place at the Paris Olympics but his consistent performances over the last season helped him to top the list compiled by the world's top statisticians who track athletes on the track and field. Chopra, who came second to Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem in Paris, emerged on top of the list which has Anderson Peters of Grenada in second spot followed by Jakub Vadlejch of Czech Republic. Nadeem is fifth. Julian Weber ids fourth. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! 'Nadeem only competed at the Olympics and the Paris Diamond League (DL), winning the former with the year's two best throws in a high-standard competition. He lost at the Paris DL to Peters, Vadlejch and Julian Weber who all had great success through the rest of the season and were well ahead of the chasing bunch,' Stuart Mazdon of Association of Track and Field Statisticians (ATFS) wrote in the Athletics 2025, The International Track and Field Annual . Yashasvi Jaiswal credits Shubman Gill after maiden Test ton in England: 'I love it' 'But the best overall season came from Chopra, beating Peters 3-2, including for Olympic silver. Chopra only had two wins, but four major second places. Peters won three DL meetings including the final but was less consistent. Weber beat Vadlejch 3-2, but Vadlejch was ahead at the two championships, European Championships and Olympic Games,' he said in the Annual, which is into the 75th year of its publication. Salman Khan opens up about recent house intrusion: Fan claimed ‘Salman called me'

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Salman Khan recently shared a bizarre and unsettling experience where a woman bypassed his security at his Mumbai residence and even claimed that the 'Sikandar' actor called her over. While the The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 began with its trademark humor, things took a serious turn when host Kapil Sharma joked about fans showing up at Salman's residence with suitcases — only for Salman to confirm that a similar incident had actually happened not long ago. "The woman rang the doorbell..." Salman Khan recounted how, in May 2025, a woman managed to bypass security at his Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai. 'There were security guards outside. A woman told them she wanted to head up to the fourth floor, and she entered,' Salman recalled. The woman rang the doorbell, and the household staff opened the door. 'The servant was shocked because the lady said, 'Salman called me over.' Obviously, the servant saw her and was sure I definitely didn't call her,' Salman added. Recognizing her as a fan, the woman was gently escorted out of the building before she could reach Salman. Salman's work front On the professional front, Salman was last seen in A.R. Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and others. Although the expectations were high as the movie was helmed by the superhit Vijay starrer 'Thuppakki' director, 'Sikandar' failed to impress the audiences, mainly due to its underwhelming writing. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo 'Sikandar' also didn't manage to mint magnificent numbers at the box office as expected from a Salman Khan starrer. SALMAN KHAN SAYS AAMIR KHAN 'STOLE' HIS FILM, LEAVES PREMIERE CROWD IN SPLITS With several underwhelming performances recently, including his cameo appearances in the Telugu film 'The Godfather' and in the actioner 'Baby John', Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', Salman Khan is yet to make a magnificent comeback. The actor's previous hit film was 'Tiger 3', which received decent reviews from the audiences and critics.
