Peter Andre's candid discussion with Princess and Junior about Emily 'situation'
Peter Andre has revealed the moment he opened up to his eldest children, Junior and Princess, about his blossoming relationship with his now-wife Emily
Peter Andre has revealed the emotional family discussion he had with his two oldest children regarding his now wife Emily Andre. Peter, who shares Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with his ex-wife Katie Price, opened up on the chat he had to have with the kids.
Writing in his autobiography titled Between Us, Peter said he decided to sit his two kids down to discuss a significant development involving Emily. At the time, Peter said the kids only knew Emily as being a family friend.
However, as an emotional attachment grew, Peter thought it was wise to discuss the changing family dynamics with his kids. Speaking about his children's relationship with Emily, he shared how they had developed an 'amazing bond'.
He said: "So, as our relationship blossomed, the kids only knew her as a friend. But, what a friend. Just as Emily and I had developed this incredible closeness, so the children were creating an amazing bond with her."
Peter added: "When the time came, and I knew I was going to ask Emily to marry me, my kids had truly grown to love her, so I had no worries about sitting down with them and explaining 'the situation'."
Peter and Emily have since gone on to tie the knot and have three kids of their own together, Amelia, Theo and Arabella. The duo remain blissfully in love, but the Mysterious Girl singer, 52, has revealed one particular mistake which made their almost two decades age difference very noticeable.
Writing in his weekly New! Magazine column, earlier this week, Peter insisted the dynamic 'works' for them and joked that age is just a number. However, he did recall one incident where the gap was more prominent.
"There's one thing we do laugh about, though…, he explained. "We were at the Pride of Britain Awards one year and Jon Bon Jovi came over to chat. I've met him many times over the years and he's a lovely person.
"He introduced himself to Emily and after he walked away, she turned to me and said, 'Who was that?' I was like, 'Are you serious? It's Bon Jovi.' In the most confused but innocent voice, she said, 'What's a Bon Jovi?'
Peter added: "We laughed about that a lot afterwards! It's in those moments we may realise the age gap –usually with music and films – but in general, we love the same things. I think it's what works for you in a relationship. Who are we to judge?""
The couple were initially introduced through Emily's dad, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, who is a consultant urologist. At the time, Peter was undergoing kidney stone removal surgery
He later met Emily, who was a medical student at the time, through the doctor. Two years later they began dating before tying the knot in Devon in 2015.

With each month reflecting a different phase of my life, complete with dodgy decisions, bizarre plot twists and more than a few laugh-out-loud moments." Back in February, Peter dealt with hecklers at his Better Late Than Never... Again! gig at Manchester's AO Arena - but things didn't quite go as he'd planned. While he said it wasn't an insult, and Lisa herself acknowledged there was no ill-meaning, the woman in question fumed that the star had humiliated her. "Go on, off you go, Lisa Riley," Peter had jibed, making a comparison to the former Emmerdale actress. Shortly after his remark on his decision to eject the fan in Manchester, Peter opened up on the incident on Good Morning Britain. "I didn't realise it was an insult," he said. "She did look remarkably like Lisa Riley, I didn't realise that was an insult." But despite his insistence there was no dig meant, the woman in question revealed she was mortified. Myar Curran accused the star of being a "bully". Speaking herself on the ITV show, Myar said: "I didn't mean to cause any harm, I was just showing my love as he kicked someone out, but he obviously didn't like it." She added: "I feel like what I said was not abusive or aggressive - it wasn't anti-social and I wasn't drunk. I was just standing u,p chanting 'we love you Peter, we do'. It's just been a bit over the top, his reaction." A month later, Peter threatened to kick even more audience members out of his show at London's O2 Arena. Brushing off the previous backlash, he poked fun at the criticism he faced as he once again halted his show to make an example of one of his fans. Katie went on to say that after an argument, she found out about their breakup through reports on Sky News. The reality star denied that the split was mutual, and later released her own statement, making it clear that she didn't want to part ways with Peter. "Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it. It's all through lawyers," she explained. "I've never sat down with him, we probably would've sorted it out but we were kept apart."

Nine Perfect Strangers – Season 2 Episode 5 Recap & Review
Prague Episode 5 of Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 starts with Masha showing up to see David. She wants to take him on an advanced psychedelic journey with her. She questions his motives and fears, before he agrees to Masha's treatment. Now, she intends to let him relive specific memories as if it's the first time, powerless to Masha's influence. All the while, they repeat the mantra 'this feeling is totally normal'. Masha decides to tell him a story, jumping back to Prague in 2001. This is where our flashback begins, as Masha happens to work backstage, getting David ready for a big speech. She's not phased by his influence or wealth, explaining that they get wealthy business from the West pontificating about freedom and truth on a weekly basis here in the Motherland. David catches Masha's attention during his interview though, showing some humility and understanding of the wider political ramifications of what he's doing. After the interview, David wants to take Masha out for dinner. She instead takes him to a rowdy bar. Whilst there, they talk about Masha's interest in being a journalist, before dancing a bit. Contrasting this rowdiness is what happens next. David brings Masha to his hotel room; a swanky, rich locale with all the bells and whistles that go with that. At this point in time, Peter is 11 and David makes a point of ringing him every day to say goodnight. He doesn't speak of Peter's mother, but the pair do end up sleeping together. More visions are stitched together, with Masha giving birth to Tatiana and deciding, at the hospital, that there is no father. David was never aware of Masha's pregnancy, and she was convinced he wouldn't want to be the father of a one-night stand baby anyway. Masha wanted to raise Tatiana to stand on her own but the rest, as they say, is history. As for Masha, she became obsessed and found out David was back in Russia several years later after their one night stand. He walked past her and didn't bat an eyelid, which she took as a sleight. Interestingly, the man he's speaking to on the way happens to be a military contractor by the name of Sergei Ivanvov. Masha was determined to keep writing and trying to expose whatever was going on involving drones, but that just made her a target to dangerous men. Masha was punished for meddling and she actually reached out to David at this time. She threatened him with exposure but David received nothing. She believed it was him snubbing her but in reality, it seems like David's associates kept him from getting the messages. This then coincided with Tatiana's hit and run, caused by the Russian military contractors getting revenge. As Masha breaks down crying, David comforts her and in the morning, post-hallucinatory experience, he explains that he actually experienced the same emotions she did. David sees a market for this, believing the whole experience has been eye-opening and he wants to help her. However, it turns out Martin has been listening this whole time, and he does not look happy. The Episode Review Nine Perfect Strangers dives back in time and gives us some back story for Tatiana and how Masha's daughter ties into David and what he's been doing with his business. We now understand exactly why Masha holds a grudge, and why she's so determined to make David experience what she has. The problem is, all of this comes about in a season that completely misunderstands what made season 1 so endearing. Yes, it's good to see what happened to Tatiana but did we actually need to learn it's all one big conspiracy? The whole episode – like the season at large – feels dragged out and meanders on. There's also a distinct lack of comedy too, with these bites of levity in season 1 working well to offset some of the more mysterious and dramatic elements. The biggest sin a TV show can commit is boredom and unfortunately, Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 is very content to be the poster child for this. Hopefully the episodes ahead can improve.
