
Man seriously injured following horror collision
The man was injured when a van he was traveling in left the road at Croagh, Co Limerick, shortly after 5pm, Sunday.
It's understood the man was removed from the scene by air ambulance.
He was being treated for serious head injuries at Cork University Hospital.
No other vehicle was involved.
A Garda spokesman said: 'Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision at Croagh, Co. Limerick this evening, Sunday 20th July 2025.
'The collision occurred at approximately 5:15pm and involved a van.
'A man, aged in his 30s, was transported to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries.
'No other information is available at this time.'

AN Urgent search has been launched for a missing mum and her daughter after the pair vanished eight days ago. Hannah Sheehan, 45, and Lydia Sheehan, 14, were last seen near Sheldon Close, in Pershore, Worcestershire. The alarm was raised at around 10.30am on July 18. Fermanagh shooting: Police appeal for information regarding movements of vehicle
Police in Northern Ireland investigating the deaths of a woman and her children in Maguiresbridge , Co Fermanagh, have appealed for more information regarding the movements of a vehicle. The victims have been named as Vanessa Whyte (45), originally from Co Clare, and her son and daughter, James and Sara Rutledge. Sara was 13 years old and James was 14, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said. A fourth individual, an adult male, is in a serious condition in hospital in Belfast . Detectives from the major investigation team, conducting the murder investigation following the shooting incident, are continuing with their enquiries. On Saturday, the PSNI issued an appeal for information involving the movements of a vehicle. 'Our investigation is ongoing and we are working tirelessly to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy,' Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said. 'I would continue to appeal generally for anyone with information to come forward and more specifically I would ask anyone who saw a silver Mercedes saloon car being driven in the Clones Road area of Newtownbutler, or between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler, on the evening of Tuesday, July 22nd.' Man (40s) hospitalised following assault in Dublin city centre
Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating an assault in Sean McDermott Street in Dublin 1 in which a man in his forties suffered 'serious injuries.' The assault took place at around 10pm on Friday. The injured man was transferred by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital where he continues to receive treatment. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
