With the threat of cyber-attacks from China and Pakistan increasing, the armed forces on Monday launched a 12-day comprehensive multi-phase cybersecurity exercise to bolster resilience at the national level.
Over 100 participants from national agencies and stakeholders from the defence arena are taking part in the 'Cyber Suraksha' exercise organised by the tri-Service Defence Cyber Agency (DCA), which includes the conduct of targeted training sessions, evaluation and "an engaging capsule for leadership", including chief information security officers.
"The exercise is designed to simulate real-world cyber threats, reinforce secure practices, and test the analytical and defensive cyber skills of participants in a high-paced, gamified environment," an officer said.
"Combining structured learning with dynamic hands-on challenge environments will empower participants to act decisively in the face of cyber threats. DCA plans to conduct such exercises on a regular basis to maintain a state of readiness and cultivate a security-first culture across all levels," he added.
