Josh Duhamel reveals why he changed his mind on 21-year age gap with wife Audra Mari
The 52-year-old actor has reflected on the 21-year age gap between him and Audra, 31, and how for a long time their relationship was strictly "platonic".
He told Amanda Hirsch's 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast: "It was truly platonic for years."
He added that when they first crossed paths, he thought: "I'm not even going to go there."
Initially he saw the former Miss World America as "just a friend" before inviting her to a barbecue, having bonded over being from North Dakota.
He explained: "[I was] still thinking it was totally platonic, just as a friend from NoDak. There aren't many people from there."
However, things took a turn when he realised Audra is "more mature" than he is.
He added: "She's more mature than I am. That's now we started dating."
Their relationship started in late 2018, and 16 months ago they welcomed son Shepherd into the world together.
Josh - who also has 11-year-old son Axl with ex-wife Fergie - recently opened up on how moving to a cabin in Minnesota has allowed his kids to learn things they never would have had the chance to in Los Angeles.
Last month, he told Fox News Digital: "We had a tree that fell over in the winter. We had to go out there and cut it up and put it in the back of the side-by-side and go stack the wood. He's not doing that in Los Angeles, you know, and he sort of does it begrudgingly, but he's going to be grateful because one day he's going to have to do all this stuff, you know, and I think that it's these little lessons.
"Shepherd is 15 months, he's going to be doing the same thing, and I think that these things just help contribute, because we're 40 miles from anything here, there's nothing. We have to pretty much fend for ourselves when we're out here. So these kids need to learn how to do this stuff, and they're not going to get to do that in L.A.
"So, for that reason alone, I think it's great. Plus they just love it. They have buddies out here, they get to, you know, go jet skiing and tubing and all those things that you do on a lake."

Stepdad punishes boy's disrespect to mum with pushups and squats in viral video
A stepfather has gone viral for using exercise to discipline his stepson — and then sharing the video on Instagram. The boy was caught telling his mother to "chill" after he was told to stop his current behavior. His stepdad stepped in, asking the boy, "Did you just tell your mom to 'chill'?" He then instructed his stepson to do several push-ups, followed by 60 squats. "Count 'em," the man told his stepson calmly, as he moved through the workout. "Keep squatting. All the way down." The punishment was followed by a conversation where the stepdad asked, "Do we tell our mom to chill out?" The boy replied, "No." The man responded, "Absolutely not. I will not let you talk to my girl that way … Would I let anyone else talk to her like that? No. So, you don't get to talk to her like that." The two hugged it out, and the boy apologized to his mother with a wholesome, "Sorry, Mom." The stepdad ended the conversation by reassuring the boy that he was loved. "Hey, I love you," he said. The video, which was posted on the family's Instagram account, raisingmaletich, has since gone viral on social media, receiving millions of views. The mother, who wrote the caption for the video, shared the following. "I will never stop being grateful to be raising kids with a real man who knows how to be a father, especially to his boys. This is masculinity. I was trying to send a work email while making breakfast for my family and my son kept asking me to use my phone after I had repeatedly told him 'No, you need to wait.' His dad overheard him tell me to 'chill' and here is how he handled it." The parenting approach was met with mixed reactions, but many social media users shared their praise. "Stepdad did the right thing. Awesome!" one X user commented under Fox News' post of the video. "That's an awesome punishment. Good job on the stepdad!" another wrote. Educational psychologist and parenting expert Dr. Michele Borba reacted to the viral moment in an interview with Fox News Digital, noting that discipline is not one-size-fits-all. Borba, who is based in California, commented that the stepfather approached discipline the "right way" in this scenario, by responding calmly instead of reacting, and enforcing a punishment that seemed familiar and doable for the child. "It may be something that he and the kid did together or the kid is good at, because [he] seems to have no problem doing it," she said. "The most amazing thing the dad did was right on the mark … He said, 'Here's what was wrong.' He was very calm in his delivery," Borba went on. "And then he let his stepson know in no uncertain terms – you don't speak like that to your mom and I don't want you to do it again."Where the punishment went wrong, the expert noted, was when the parents posted it on the internet, at which point it became less about physical consequences and more about public humiliation. "Whatever was done now just crumbles, because the discipline is no longer face-to-face appropriate … it's shaming," Borba said. "The huge red flag was going viral with it, because now it's not guilt. It's shame. It's public," she added. "You've got a real emotional issue now." Borba stressed that discipline should always be age-appropriate and tailored to the child, as making a child do strenuous exercise they are not comfortable with would be considered inappropriate. It is important for discipline to be delivered in a way that is both responsible and respectful, the expert said. "The key question is, will it enhance the child's behavior so they don't repeat the behavior?" Originally published as Stepdad punishes boy's disrespect to mum with pushups and squats in viral video

Bombshell actress Loni Anderson dies days before 80th birthday
Loni Anderson, who famously portrayed receptionist Jennifer Marlowe in the comedy WKRP in Cincinnati, has died. She was 79. Anderson died at a Los Angeles hospital following a 'prolonged' illness, her longtime publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. She was surrounded by her loving family. 'We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother,' Anderson's family said in a statement. Over four decades, Anderson starred in various TV shows and films, including Swat, Three on a Date, Three's Company, The Incredible Hulk, The Love Boat, The Bob Newhart Show, and more. Growing up in St. Paul, Minnesota, Anderson's greatest ambition was to be an actress. In 1975, Anderson moved to Los Angeles, where she quickly began making a name for herself. She landed the role of the titillating and intelligent Jennifer Marlowe in 1978 and cemented her status as a beloved TV sex symbol. 'I remember we all did posters back then. Everybody always asks me, 'What made you do a poster?' I would say, 'Because some day my grandchildren will look at this. And I'll be able to tell them that I really looked like that.' What you saw is what you got,' she told Fox News Digital in 2021. 'But you know, I had this discussion with Ann-Margret. Will there ever be a time when our names won't be followed by 'bombshell' or 'sex symbol?' It becomes a part of your name,' she continued. 'And you know, I'd never thought I would reach that point. I was so serious. I was doing Fiddler on the Roof for 53 weeks on tour. I never thought I would be Loni Anderson, sex symbol. But I embrace it.' 'I think I was lucky enough to have been able to play so many different things and sex symbol was a part of it. I took whatever my career threw at me. So I embrace it. And my granddaughters think it's a hoot!' In 1982 she co-starred in Stroker Ace, a feature film with then-future husband Burt Reynolds. Loni and Burt adopted their son Quinton Anderson Reynolds in August 1988. In 2019, Anderson said she and Reynolds - who died in 2018 from a heart attack - made peace before his death with the help of their son. 'We were friends first and friends last,' Anderson told Closer Weekly at the time. 'It's time to move on.' The WKRP in Cincinnati actress insisted she and Reynolds put aside the hostility they endured when the marriage came to an end for the sake of Quinton. 'We have this wonderful child together,' she said. 'Having a son was a big event in our lives and so everything revolved around him.' On top of TV and film, Anderson was a prominent member of the musical theatre community and became a New York Times best-selling author with her 1995 autobiography, My Life In Hells. 'Loni was a class act. Beautiful. Talented. Witty. ALWAYS a joy to be around,' Steve Sauer, President/CEO Media Four and Anderson's manager for 30 years, said in a statement. 'She was the ultimate working mother. Family first…and maintained a great balance with her career. She and I had wonderful adventures together that I shall forever cherish. I will especially miss that infectious chuckle of hers. She will be forever missed.' On May 17, 2008, Anderson married Bob Flick, a founding member of the 1960s folk group The Brothers Four. Anderson is survived by her husband, daughter Deidra and son-in law Charlie Hoffman, son Quinton Anderson Reynolds, grandchildren McKenzie and Megan Hoffman, stepson Adam Flick and his wife Helene, step-grandchildren Felix and Maximilian. A private family service will be held at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery followed by A Celebration of Life at a future date.
