
Lolit Solis to be cremated on July 8
Boy Abunda announced the news on 'Fast Talk With Boy Abunda' on Monday, adding their program will also take time to honor and remember the life and legacy of the veteran showbiz columnist in a special tribute on Tuesday.
Lolit's daughter Sneezy confirmed her death, saying Lolit suffered a heart attack and died at the hospital. She was 78.
Lolit was a known entertainment writer, talent manager, and TV show host.
On television, Manay Lolit was one of the hosts of the entertainment show 'Startalk.' She also hosted 'Star Patrol' on the radio and other showbiz segments on radio shows.

After returning to the outside world, Will Ashley is now preparing for his role in "Bar Boys: After School!" On X (formerly Twitter), Carlo Catu, one of the writers of the sequel, shared some snaps from his acting workshop with Will. In his post, Catu expressed enthusiasm for Will's role as Arvin. Will auditioned for the role two weeks before entering the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" as a housemate. His character Arvin is described as a working student who balances his job and law school. Will is among the new characters in the film, along with Sassa Gurl, Royce Cabrera, Bryce Eusebio, Therese Malvar and Glaiza De Castro. "Bar Boys: After School" is the sequel of the 2017 film directed by Kip Oebanda. The sequel will also see Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Carlo Aquino and Kean Cipriano reprising their respective roles from the first film. What's next for Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo now that they're out of the "Pinoy Big Brother" house? On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" Big Winner duo shared their plans for their careers moving forward. According to Mika, she wants to pursue music. The Sparkle star is a talented singer and she showed it inside Bahay ni Kuya during the Big Carnival Concert, performing together with Klarisse de Guzman. Tito Boy asked her to sing the song of her life now, and Mika indulged him with a few lines of "A Million Dreams" from "The Greatest Showman." Brent, meanwhile, said he will take all the opportunities he can get, but he hopes to focus more on acting. Mika and Brent, also known as BreKa, were hailed as the Big Winner duo during the PBB Big Night on Saturday after winning over 33% of the public votes. They spent 118 days inside Bahay ni Kuya. Lani Misalucha grieves death of mother Esperanza
Lani Misalucha is grieving the passing of her mother, Esperanza Bayot, who died on July 3. Lani shared the wake and interment details of her mother last Friday, July 4, via her official Facebook page. Esperanza's wake is until Monday, July 7, at St. Peter Chapels in Canlalay, Biñan, Laguna. Her interment will be held on Tuesday at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig. On Instagram, the Filipina singer mourned her mother with a series of posts, sharing multiple photos of a candle against a black background and pictures of her mom from her youth, along with various quotes. "Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything," Lani wrote in the caption, quoting the author C.S. Lewis. "You will be sorely missed mom," she added. Esperanza was born on October 11, 1935.
