Tyson Fury's reasons for defeats by Oleksandr Usyk emerge in new revelation

Tyson Fury 's nutritionist, Greg Marriott, has voiced his concerns over the 'Gypsy King's' training regime for his two fights with Oleksandr Usyk, suggesting that the camps were 'overcomplicated'.
The pair first went head-to-head last May - with the Ukrainian going on to win via split decision. Seven months later and the two stars were back in the ring against each other. Despite the strong start, Fury was unable to level the series and suffered yet another defeat on points.

Fury made several changes ahead of the second fight, including altering his team and bulking up by an extra 20lbs. Recently his father John Fury criticised his son's preparations and insisted that the 36-year-old should have been in better physical condition to have the best chance of dethroning the heavyweight king.

Just weeks after the second contest, Fury shocked the world by announcing his retirement. A few months on from the rematch, the Brit's food expert Marriott believes the 'Gypsy King' should have defeated Usyk had preparations have been better. In an interview with Seconds Out, he said: "I think what has happened in that camp, they overcomplicated things.
"Instead of making him super fit, they made things too complex. He should have never have lost against Usyk. It shouldn't have even been close, because he is that good. But my voice will only go so far in camp. I just think for that camp, I didn't like what I saw. I just thought this is getting overcomplicated and it came to fruition in the ring.
"He should have just been super fit and made to go do his thing. The standard needed to go up for Usyk. That camp for me was 60 per cent for Fury for the rematch. And he only just come unstuck." Despite hanging up his gloves, Fury has been seen keeping in shape, fuelling rumours of a return to the ring.
This week, the former two-time world champion teased an imminent announcement after the heavyweight star hinted at a potential return to the ring. In an Instagram video with his father Fury Sr, the 'Gypsy King' said: "Business meeting today, dad. En-route. Incoming, incoming." The video showed the duo in high spirits, fuelling speculation among fans eager for a Fury vs Anthony Joshua showdown.
The video came just a few days after he shared footage from the gym with coach SugarHill Steward, where after a light sweat session, he teased: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know."He then panned over to a smiling SugarHill who chimed in with: "You know what time it is!" Wrapping up the story, Fury dropped a cryptic message: "You know what's coming."

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently commented on Fury's online activity with some frustration during a chat with Sky Sports: "I feel like Tyson Fury's a bit of a tease really, isn't he? I mean, all we see on Instagram is him," he remarked. 'Even today, after leaving the press conference, I saw his post – him in hand wraps, sparring a solid 12 rounds.
"Why do this to us? What does it mean? Is this some sort of mind game or is he gearing up for a comeback? Just let us know either way. Put us out of our misery. Look, AJ's got to have a little keyhole surgery on his elbow. He'll be back post-September. It's there, isn't it? Let's just make it happen.
"When we talk about big fights, this fight is the biggest fight, not just in British boxing, in world boxing, by a mile. And I just feel like it's time. This is the moment. We're reliant upon Tyson Fury. We're ready to go, but obviously he's got to be comfortable. He's got to be up for it. He's a competitive so-and-so, and I just know in his mind, he'll want to dance with Anthony Joshua. So, dust those shoes off and let's make it happen."
