Reach Your Crescendo With MysteryVibe's Ultra-Bendy Vibrator
And the fact of the matter is that many women out there aren't fully enjoying the experience, nor the benefits that come from having an orgasm. For those looking to take matters into their own hands, the ob-gyn-designed Crescendo 2 is one of the more customizable vibrators on the market. Choose Your Own Adventure
Photograph: Julia Forbes
In a crowded vibrator market, the Crescendo 2 stands out specifically for its levels of customizability. The vagina is beautifully complex, with increasing research pointing to it having well over 10,000 nerve endings. Not to mention the fact that every body type is different. However, the Crescendo 2 can cover the clitoris, labia, vagina, and perineum in one fell swoop.
This vibrator is, in a word, girthy. The main shaft is 8.7 inches long, 1.7 inches wide, and 1.8 inches tall. Two clitoral stimulators sit at the top like fins. The end point design is meant to mimic two-finger insertion, and the shaft can be bent into a number of shapes—specifically, the letters I, C, U, L, O, or S. This way, you can customize it to not just what you need and like, but your physical form.
Along with the Crescendo 2's flexibility, there are six motors along the length of the device. These aren't meant to be in excess, turbocharging your sensory experience—you're not a race car (though, hilariously, there is a 'Mad Max' vibrational setting). Rather, each one creates a touchpoint of stimuli specifically around highly sensitive zones—MysteryVibe says this is clinically proven to help address issues like pelvic pain and dryness.
That's just one aspect of the design that makes the Crescendo 2 stand out. The real magic, in my opinion, is the app feature that allows you to adjust each of the six motors individually. While the buttons on the side can help you adjust intensity or switch up vibrational patterns, it's not necessarily intuitive to reach for that in the heat of the moment. To really enjoy the full extent of what the device has to offer, download the MysteryVibe app ahead of time and Bluetooth-sync it to your device. Upon unboxing, plug it into a USB port for an hour with the attached charger—once fully charged, you've got two hours of usage.
With the app, you can make one motor more or less intense depending on what you prefer. In addition to this individualistic motor approach, the app also has a vibration pattern library where you can download preset patterns. You can fine-tune your search by searching for patterns that offer things that are more your speed, from slow pulsations to sensations just around the edges of the device.
What's really impressive is that you also have the option to customize your own, bringing a whole new aspect of individualistic and customizable experience to the table. The synchronicity of the app and device lets you figure out what feels right for you as you mix and match the motors to create your 'vibe.' This is a cheeky way of saying that you can adjust each motor's pulse intensity and frequency. From there, the Crescendo 2 can store 12 vibrational patterns at a time, with 16 intensities. And yes, the preset patterns have clever names.
Another bonus is the Crescendo 2's button locking feature. This is particularly helpful if and when you're rendered low-key mindless during the throes of passion and accidentally hit a button. The button lock ensures you're on your way to catapulting toward the finish line instead of losing focus from the change of pace. I've met many women where reaching orgasm is a mental hurdle, and something like an accidental vibe check would throw them off. This is one less tangible thing you would have to deal with. Plug and Play
MysteryVibe says the Crescendo 2 is 'infinite toys in one' due to its ability to be bent into various shapes. Since it is shaped somewhat like two fingers, it's meant to mimic various hand shapes one may employ during sex. While it's malleable enough to bend the internal joints upward and downward, the vibrator isn't meant to be twisted. Because of this, of the letters I mentioned previously, some of them weren't necessarily the easiest to accomplish—namely, the 'U.' During my hands-on testing I found that this particular shape wouldn't stay in place for me, yet it was the most fun one. Ugh! That could very well be because of my anatomy, but it does challenge MysteryVibe's claim of the Crescendo 2's toy configurations being 'infinite.'
The clitoral stimulation pieces at the top also didn't do much for me, which goes back to the overall length of this thing. I have to wonder, if it were a slightly smaller size, would I get the full package of benefits this vibrator offers? But given this is supposed to be a 'one size fits all' approach, I can understand why MysteryVibe designed the Crescendo 2 the way they did.
"Different strokes for different folks" is very on the nose when not only discussing the customization the design offers you, but the pulse settings as well. You can really get creative and experiment with what you like, which makes it that much more exciting for partnered use—speaking from personal testing, of course. Mix things up on a whim, and never let your partner know your next move. They may like what kind of vibes you have up your sleeve; I sure did. I cannot confirm nor deny the custom vibe patterns we came up with are offshoots of Mad Max sayings, but it's another sort of bonding activity to create that sort of inside joke. So many puns, so little time!
Another claim that popped out at me was that, according to MysteryVibe, the Crescendo 2 is many users' first-ever vibrator. I can say confidently that if this happens to be you, you are starting off very strong. In fact, you may be ruining all other vibrators for yourself going forward, because this one sets the bar so high.

Nancy Meyers shades 'The Holiday 'series in the works at Apple TV+: 'News to me'
"Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw," the filmmaker said of the project's points The Holiday is receiving a limited series at Apple TV+. Nancy Meyers, the writer/director behind the original 2006 movie, shaded the announcement of the project on Instagram. Meyers previously shot down rumors that a sequel to the movie was in the works with Cameron Diaz and Kate Holiday is getting a TV series — but Nancy Meyers doesn't sound too happy about it. The filmmaker, who wrote and directed the 2006 Christmas rom-com of the same name, reacted to the announcement that Apple TV+ is adapting her movie into a limited series. "News to me," Meyers wrote in an Instagram Story atop a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter post about the TV show. "Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw. 🤔" The Holiday limited series on Apple TV+ will be written and executive produced by Krissie Ducker (Sweetpea) and will see input from Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as a consultant, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Deadline first reported the news, noting that Meyers has no involvement in the project, and that well-known actresses are being considered for the lead roles. Meyers' The Holiday starred Cameron Diaz as a workaholic movie trailer editor in Los Angeles and Kate Winslet as a London journalist pining after her ex-slash-coworker. The two women spontaneously decide to do a house swap and each fall in love with a local across the pond. Diaz is paired up with Jude Law, who played Winslet's character's brother, while Winslet couples with Jack Black, a charismatic musician. The original Holiday grossed over $200 million at the global box office, making it Meyers' fourth-biggest hit as a director (behind What Women Want, Something's Gotta Give, and It's Complicated). The Holiday has maintained a sizable following since its original release, as its Christmastime setting has inspired consistent wintertime rewatches among rom-com fans. However, despite the film's continued popularity, Meyers confirmed that she has no plans to revisit the movie in 2022. The filmmaker shot down rumors that Diaz and Winslet had boarded a sequel in an Instagram post. "So many DM's about this. Sorry but it's not true," Meyers wrote in a caption of a Daily Mail screenshot claiming that the original cast would return for a sequel. The director also recently revealed that she didn't expect the film to become a Christmas classic. "I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way," she told the Hollywood Gold podcast. "I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged."Meyers has not directed a film since 2015's The Intern. She attempted to helm a new project, tentatively titled Paris Paramount, for Netflix, but the project stalled after disagreements on the budget. Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender were all reportedly in talks to star in the film. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

The Gilded Age Season 4: Cast, Release Date, and Latest News
Karolina Wojtasik/HBO The Gilded Age is hitting its stride in season three, so why not go for the gold? On July 28, the head of HBO's drama series and films department confirmed the fourth season while praising Downton Abbey's Julian Fellowes for creating another prime example of ''can't-miss it' entertainment," this time set in 1880s New York and starring the likes of Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, and Cynthia Nixon. According to Variety, The Gilded Age continues to break its own viewership records—and fans aren't the only ones on the edge of their seats. "We're delighted to continue exploring these characters' grand ambitions for what we promise will be a thrilling fourth season,' HBO's Francesca Orsi said in their statement. As we patiently await the season three finale, here's everything we know about The Gilded Age season four. When will The Gilded Age season four air? No timeline has been announced as we're still deep in the throes of season three, which will come to a close on August 10. While the first two seasons aired in fall-winter months of 2022 and 2023, season three began airing in June 2025. It's possible HBO will try to capitalize on this season's viewership success by sticking to a summer release, depending on the production schedule. Who will star in season four? Of course, there's no word yet on who will or will not be returning. The Gilded Age currently stars a host of legendary actors, from those previously mentioned to Donna Murphy and Debra Monk. Season three also introduced Phylicia Rashad as Brian Stokes, who will hopefully continue to grace our screens in season four as Elizabeth and Frederick Kirkland. As for the younger generation of actors, Meryl Streep's youngest daughter Louisa Jacobson continues to portray Marian Brook, the orphaned niece of Ada Forte (Nixon) and Agnes van Rhijn (Baranski). Denée Benton plays Peggy Scott, the daughter of Audra McDonald's Dorothy Scott. New Here How *The Gilded Age*'s Denée Benton Made Sure Peggy Scott's Story Was Told Right The Broadway vet opens up about changes she advocated for on the set of the new HBO series. The rest of the cast includes Morgan Spector, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kate Baldwin, Victoria Clark, John Ellison Conlee, Michael Cumpsty, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Claybourne Elder, Amy Forsyth, Jack Gilpin, LisaGay Hamilton, Ward Horton, Simon Jones, Sullivan Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ben Lamb, Nathan Lane, Andrea Martin, Hattie Morahan, Kristine Nielsen, Paul Alexander Nolan, Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Page, Rachel Pickup, Taylor Richardson, Douglas Sills, Bobby Steggert, Erin Wilhelmi, John Douglas Thompson, Leslie Uggams, Merritt Wever, and Bill Camp. Wait, wait, wait…don't skip past Gladys Russell so fast! Of course, one of the biggest shocks of season three centered around Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga), who was married off to the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb) by her mother, Bertha (Carrie Coon) and father George (Morgan Spector). This left fans devastated for Gladys, who was betrayed and abandoned by everyone meant to care for her, including the man she wanted to marry for love, Billy Carlton (Matt Walker). That left Bertha and Gladys on very shaky ground, though the mother-daughter duo later joined forces to assert the new duchess' dominance over Sidmouth Castle. Still, how much of season four can possibly take place in England? It's not like we've seen much of Daphne Bridgerton since she married her Duke at the end of Bridgerton season they didn't even leave the continent! For now, we'll just have to wait and see how the rest of season three shakes out. The Gilded Age season three finale airs on August 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. This post will be updated from there. Entertainment Carrie Coon Is in Her Gilded Age Hot off the buzzy third season of *The White Lotus,* Coon returns to the screen as Bertha Russell in *The Gilded Age.* Originally Appeared on Glamour

Lego's August Releases Are Going Merry
Lego usually has quiet months and big months in terms of releases, but by far and away the two most important times of the year for Lego—and most threatening for your wallet as a Lego fan—are the start of it in January and the height of summer in August. The latter is finally here, and Lego has a lot of options for if you want to beat the heat by staying inside and building bricks. A lot of options. With dozens upon dozens upon dozens of new sets arriving today, it's hard to really break down particular highlights, with almost every major Lego line getting at least a couple of releases, alongside stalwarts like Marvel and Star Wars getting massive new waves. There are even a few entirely new lines making their debut amid the mania too, like the highly anticipated arrival of Lego One Piece, inspired by the Netflix adaptation. Check out all those, and more, in our roundup of the most interesting sets arriving this month! Lego has a few Technic sets out this month, but the standout in our genre-nerd eyes has to be this amazing rover set, inspired by the fabled Lego Space line. The kit comes with a primary moon rover, as well as smaller builds for a mining rover and MAPP rover, and some moon rocks they can collect into a sample container. ($100, available here). The multibuild creator sets are always an opportunity to sneak in some nods to other Lego lines, and August's offerings include a pretty fun new Lego Castle set for any medieval fantasy fans (introducing a new faction) and a cutie-spooky Monster Fighters homage in the Haunted Mansion. But then, consider this! There is also Beautiful Horse. Its beauty is, perhaps, in the eye of the beholder. Inspired by the first season of the Netflix live-action adaptation of the seminal anime and manga, Lego is going all out for the debut of One Piece as a line, right in time for the excitement around season two. From small sets to massive adult-focused kits like the Baratie, there's something for every fan of the show here—but of course the highlight has to be the Going Merry, which comes with the complete (up to this point in the series) Straw Hat crew in one place. Speaking of Netflix shows gearing up for season two! Just in time for the first volume of Wednesday's return to hit the streamer next week, Lego has concocted a buildable black dahlia flower, complete with minidolls of Wednesday and Professor Thornhill. ($28, available here). It's a big Spider-Man wave for Lego Marvel in August, but there are some more Avenging sets around, like sets inspired by Iron Man 2 and Endgame. That doesn't stop the webslinger from taking the prize, though, in the form of a subway train set inspired by the classic one Lego released for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. The Mario line has been on a bit of a karting kick lately, and August is no exception. But not every set is about that kart life: we get a couple of fun Toad buildable sets, including one inspired by Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The first Decepticon to join the Lego Transformers line, Soundwave can transform between robot and cassette player mode and comes with buildable (and similarly transforming) Ravage and Laserbeak minions that can sit in his tape deck. He even plays sounds from a special brick built into his torso unit! ($190, available here) Away from the glow of the movie release, things are back to normal for Lego Minecraft, which offers a special piece of gaming advice this month: maybe don't build your house out of TNT. It's a very big and very expensive month for Star Wars fans with an eclectic mix of sets on offer—from a tease of the next Lego Star Wars animated adventure to a new UCS AT-ST and even some buildable characters in the form of K-2SO and Wicket. This cute gaming model replicates a classic arcade machine, which in itself hides a little gamer cave for the included minifigure to hang out in. ($40, available here). There are still a few more villagers and locales Nintendo and Lego can add to your islands this month, including Blathers' museum! Metal Sonic strikes in the handful of Sonic sets we get this month, which splits Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails across two different villainous battles. Cultural reappraisals aside, one thing that's always been beloved about Batman Forever is its slick Batmobile, which Lego is wonderfully recreating in this new display model—complete with a minifigure Batman inspired by the film's Sonar Batsuit. ($100, available here). Want more io9 news?
