Karan Johar is in the news again, but not for a film. A popular Reddit post said that he got his face insured. The post claimed KJo flew to South Korea to do this. It's said that a close friend from the South Indian film industry gave him the idea.
Well, Karan Johar has taken notice of the headlines grabbing in his name and while he didn't react to it directly, the filmmaker shared a cryptic post on social media. Taking to his Instagram stories, KJo wrote, 'Read the rumours, the whispers. The oh-so-secret scoops! Well, keep up the drama and stay tuned."
The post in question read, 'Rumour has it Karan Johar secretly flew to South Korea multiple times to get… his face insured. Yup, inspired by a close friend, and apparently it's a trend there. Insiders say he's been way more chill since—smiling more, less snappy, even gave a rare compliment at work 😳 No word from him yet, but now we're all wondering: does this cover acne, sunburns, wrinkles? And how much is that premium?!"
Karan Johar's physical transformation has also been making headlines for quite some time. Earlier, reports suggested that the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director was using Ozempic, a medicine approved for Type 2 diabetes, which has recently gained popularity for its weight loss effects.
However, in a recent interview with Raj Shamani, KJo revealed that his weight loss journey had nothing to do with any medication. 'I have always been battling the bulge," he said and then added, 'I've tried thousands of diets, five hundred kinds of workouts, every type you can imagine. Every diet, every workout routine, I've tried it all. I've been combating this for years."
Karan further revealed that it wasn't until he got his blood work done recently that he discovered he had thyroid and other health issues that needed attention. This marked a turning point in his fitness journey. 'It was only recently, after years, when I got my blood work done that I found out I had certain thyroid issues and other problems that I needed to fix and I've been working on correcting them," he shared.
On persistent rumours linking him to popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, Karan responded firmly. 'Now people ask me, 'Are you on Mounjaro? Are you on Ozempic?' I'm tired of these comments. People don't know my truth. You don't know."
