War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's action-thriller struggles to reach Rs 200 crore, earns Rs...
War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: When two big films hit the big screen on the same day, it is expected to be a storm at the box office. However, something opposite happened as Ayan Mukerji's War 2 and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie were released simultaneously. While it was expected that both films would perform big at the box office, the opposite happened. Coolie opened with Rs 65 crore, while War 2 earned Rs 52 crore on day 1. Now, almost a week later, both films have slowed down in generating revenue. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8. 25 crore. War 2 Box Office Collection Detailed Analysis Directed by Ayan Mukerji under the YRF banner and within the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 is headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR. Made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2's box office collection on day 1 stood at Rs 52 crore. The numbers were not considered good because, being a pan-India release, it did not mint as much as expected, especially in the Hindi market. Following day 1, on day 2 and 3, War 2 earned Rs 57 crore and Rs 33 crore respectively. On day 2, the movie witnessed a 50 percent hike in the Hindi market as it collected Rs 44 crore. Over the next two days, the collections dropped, with the film earning Rs 32 crore on day 4 and just Rs 8 crore on day 5. Now, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8.25 crore. With this, the total collection of War 2 has reached Rs 192 crore. It now seems that the film is struggling to touch the Rs 200 crore mark. War 2 Competition From Rajinikanth's Coolie In the initial days of release, War 2 and Coolie had an edge-to-edge competition, with only a marginal difference in collections. However, now, Coolie has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in India and is leading with a good margin. War 2 Review War 2 movie review by reads, 'The plot of War 2 is painfully predictable, the VFX are subpar, and the dialogues often border on cringeworthy. Hrithik's much-hyped mass entry and a few well-executed action scenes are the only moments worth noting.'

Superstar Rajinikanth 's latest film 'Coolie' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, had a thunderous start at the box office during the Independence Day weekend. But after the long holiday run, the film is now seeing a dip in collections as weekdays kick in. Despite the slowdown, the Rajinikanth action drama has crossed the big Rs 200 crore mark in India, a milestone that keeps fans celebrating. However, the film is facing stiff competition as Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's 'War 2' also released on the same day. The film collected Rs 12 crore, which, while lower than the weekend numbers, was still considered decent for a weekday. 'Coolie' Vs 'War 2' One of the biggest talking points around 'Coolie' is its clash with 'War 2'. Both films released on the same day, creating a box office battle between Rajinikanth, Hrithik Roshan, and Jr NTR. On its first Tuesday, 'War 2' tried to keep pace but ended up behind 'Coolie'. The film earned Rs 8.25 crore on Day 6, taking its domestic total to just over Rs 190 crore. This means that even with a dip, 'Coolie' is still ahead in the race. 'Coolie' worldwide box office collection Beyond India, 'Coolie' has turned into a huge success. The film has already crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide, placing it among the biggest earners for Rajinikanth. But the journey does not end here. About 'Coolie' 'Coolie' tells the story of Deva, a former union leader played by Rajinikanth. Deva sets out to find the truth behind the sudden death of his friend Rajasekhar, played by Sathyaraj. Amid Salman Khan's Sikandar's commercial failure, the director of the film AR Murugadoss spoke about its failure in an interview with Valaipechu Voice and said, 'It's not easy to shoot with a star. Even day scenes, we have to shoot at night because he turns up to sets only by 8 PM. We are people who are used to shooting right from early mornings, but that's not how things work there.' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The director is already gearing up for his next film Sivakarthikeyan which releases in cinemas on September 5.
