Three brothers jailed after 21-year-old murdered following car crash 'dispute'
The victim - Thalepo Jali, of Stafford - was driving his girlfriend's Volkswagen T-Roc on July 20 last year, when he became involved in a collision with a Honda Civic, driven by Tuheed Hussain. The following day, on July 21, Tuheed and Ezaan vandalised Jali's car, smashing up the windows.
Later that evening, CCTV captured Jali running into an alleyway in Normacot, which ran between Hamilton Road and Buccleuch Road, at 11.47pm. Four seconds later, Tayyab and Ezaan Hussain jumped out of a car driven by Tuheed and chased Jali into the alleyway.

The cold-hearted pair cornered Jali before stabbing him multiple times. Tayyab and Ezaan then ditched the scene, before being picked up by Tuheed on Hamilton Road.
Jali was discovered lying in the alley shortly afterwards at 12.30am on Sunday, July 22. Sadly there was nothing paramedics could do, and he died on the scene at around 1.10am.
Attackers Tayyab and Ezaan Hussain pleaded guilty to murder on July 7 and July 9, 2025 respectively. Driver Tuheed Hussain was found guilty of manslaughter by a jury on Monday (August 4).
Tayyab was sentenced to 21 years and 351 days' imprisonment, Ezaan was jailed for 20 years and 353 days and Tuheed was sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment.
Jali's heart-broken family have shared their grief in a statement shared with Staffordshire Police. They said: "We love and miss Thapelo and his death has left an unmeasurable void in the lives of us who love him so dearly.
"When the officers came to tell us about Thapelo's death, their words changed our lives forever. That morning, little did we know that our lives were now changed, beyond anything that we could ever imagine.
'The stark reality of Thapelo's death was something that quickly absorbed our family, devastating us completely, as the days, weeks and months have passed.
'One young life was taken in the most tragic and cruel set of circumstances, yet many lives have been ruined through the ripples of devastation caused by these dreadful events.
'I hope that in some small way, my words help to discourage the epidemic of knife crime that has taken my son from his family at such a young age. I want for no other family to have to experience the level of pain that we have, and continue, to endure.'
Detective Superintendent Cheryl Hannan said: 'Our thoughts remain with Thapelo's family and friends.
'This was a brutal and calculated attack. This highlights the tragic consequences of carrying a knife and conflict between groups.'

Arrest warrant for woman accused of fleeing Cowes crash scene
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 27-year-old woman from Kent who is accused of failing to stop at the scene of a crash on the Isle of Wight. Sharley Coster, of Silverhurst Drive, Tonbridge, was due to appear before IW Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 8, to face three driving-related charges. The Jeep involved did not remain at the scene, but officers later located the vehicle in Binstead a few hours later, according to police statements made at the time. Ms Coster is accused of the following offences: Failing to stop after a road accident Driving without due care and attention Failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required A new court date has been set for August 29, when Ms Coster is expected to attend and submit her pleas.

Woman who attacked three strangers reacts furiously to being jailed
A WOMAN reacted furiously as magistrates jailed her for a series of violent street attacks on strangers in Carlisle. Lisa Nunn, 45, whose angry outburst from the dock included her using a racist slur, had just been handed a four-month jail term after magistrates heard about her drink-fuelled violence on November 15 last year. Prosecutor Diane Jackson outlined the offending during a hearing at the city's Rickergate court. The defendant was in Denton Street, Carlisle, at 4.45pm when witnesses noticed her pacing up and down the pavement, clearly intoxicated. A short time later, a man who walking home from work, found that his way was blocked by Nunn, who stood in front of him and grabbed his throat. 'He stepped back to get her off him, asking what she was doing,' said Mrs Jackson. 'He couldn't make out anything she was saying.' As the man again tried to walk past Nunn, she punched him on the jaw. He suffered immediate pain and again pushed her away. At one point, he heard her say she wanted to murder him. The second victim was a woman, also walking to her home. Noticing that Nunn was on the pavement, near to Robert Ferguson School, the woman at first thought she was injured and approached to offer help. But Nunn grabbed her by the legs. Realising that the defendant was drunk, the woman manged to pull away, but Nunn followed her. She grabbed the woman, and became aggressive, putting her in a headlock. The woman shouted for help as her partner arrived, and he desperately tried to pull Nunn off the woman. After the incident, the woman said she had always felt safe in Carlisle but she now no longer does. Nunn also attacked the third victim without warning for no reason. She slapped him in the face three times and then spat at him. 'Luckily, the injuries sustained [by the three victims] were minor,' said Mrs Jackson. Nunn admitted three assaults by beating and two thefts, as well as using racially aggravated threatening behaviour. The court heard that she has 'numerous' previous convictions. The lawyer remarked on the change in Nunn's behaviour. 'She is taking steps to address the underlying issues behind her offending,' said Miss Scattergood. 'She still does use illegal substances, but this has dramatically reduced. She has also expressed remorse.' Magistrates told Nunn, of Hammond Close, Carlisle she would be jailed and must pay compensation of £100 to each of her victims. She reacted angrily, saying she had been in injured during the street incident in November and, as she was being led away from the dock, Nunn turned and swore, yelling a racist insult at a magistrate. It is not yet clear what action will be taken about Nunn's behaviour in court. The lead magistrate said he hoped the Nunn gets the help she needs.

Drug addict stole more than £1,200 worth of goods from Tesco store
A DRUG addict who kept targeting the same Tesco store on the Isle of Wight, stealing more than £1,200 worth of goods, was warned jail may be an option when he is sentenced this autumn. Joseph Gulliver, of Union Street, Ryde, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday last week (August 1). The 42-year-old admitted to four charges of shoplifting from Tesco Extra in Ryde. Serena Edwards, prosecuting, said Gulliver stole more than £1,200 worth of goods combined, from the same store, on four separate occasions — March 21, April 1, April 3 and April 28. None of the stolen items were recovered. Magistrates ordered a report on Gulliver, to cover all sentencing options, including custody. Gulliver was bailed, with a condition not to enter Tesco Extra in Brading Road, Ryde. He will reappear for sentencing on October 3.
