GloRilla Breaks Silence on Arrest for Alleged Felony Drug Possession After Burglary Attempt
'Long story short my house gets invaded and Im the only one gets arrested,' she tweeted GloRilla is speaking out after being arrested on felony drug charges following a burglary attempt in her Georgia home. The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, voluntarily turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday, July 22, after police allegedly discovered marijuana and a controlled substance while responding to a July 20 burglary attempt that she was not present for, according to a statement provided to PEOPLE by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. 'CRAZY [!!] My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis,' the 'Wanna Be' artist tweeted on Thursday, July 24. Next, she listed a three-point breakdown of the events from her perspective. '1. So no I wasn't busted 2. My house got robbed 3. I wasn't home,' GloRilla wrote. She continued, 'Long story short my house gets home invaded and Im the only one that gets arrested.' The 'All Dere' rapper concluded, 'So that's tea,' adding a shrugging emoji. A rep for GloRilla did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. A call for "a burglary in progress' came in at 1:30 a.m. local time, per the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office statement. "It was reported that three suspects had entered the home and were in the process of stealing items when an armed occupant fired at the intruders," the police statement read. "The suspects fled the scene, and it does not appear that any of them were struck. No injuries were reported among the home's occupants." No suspects were found following "a thorough investigation," however, police said, "While on scene, deputies detected a strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics. As a result, the Lanier Regional Drug Task Force was contacted and responded to the residence." Police obtained a search warrant and reported finding "a significant amount of marijuana" in GloRilla's master bedroom closet. As a result, the Memphis native was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of schedule one controlled substance. After voluntarily turning herself into custody, GloRilla was released on a $22,260 bond. Following her tweet addressing the arrest, the 'TGIF' rapper returned to social media with a seemingly subtle message. 'Anyways, Dey done let da LEOS ina door 😌🦁♌️,' GloRilla captioned a two-photo Instagram carousel mentioning her zodiac sign ahead of her July 28 birthday. Malcolm-Jamal Warner Death: Police Clarify Daughter Wasn't in Water During Drowning, Timeline of Events
Warner died after drowning in Costa Rica on a family vacation Costa Rican officials are providing new details that clarify the timeline of events that lead to Malcolm-Jamal Warner's death on Monday, July 21. He was 54. In a new statement obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday, July 24, Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) told PEOPLE that Warner's daughter was not in the water with him when he drowned. "Mr. Warner was playing with his daughter at the seashore at one point. He then left her out of the water, and he and a friend of his entered the sea," the statement, translated from Spanish to English, read. "It was at that moment that they were swept away by the current, and the friend managed to get out," the statement continued. "However, Mr. Warner was unable to get out and was pulled out by several people on the beach. He received care from Red Cross officials, but was pronounced dead at the scene." The OIJ previously confirmed to PEOPLE that Warner's cause of death was ruled "asphyxiation by submersion." Warner's body was formally identified by the Costa Rican National Police and will be "removed from the Judicial Morgue by a funeral service company hired and authorized by Mr. Warner's family," the office said. Dr. Mauricio Solano Corella, Medical Director for the Talamanca Health Area, previously confirmed that a 29-year-old man from Nicaragua was at the scene attempting to rescue Warner. The man was "treated, found to be stable and was discharged without complications," Dr. Corella told PEOPLE in a statement. The investigation remains ongoing. Warner is survived by his wife and his daughter. Warner was best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show. His other credits include The Resident, Community, Malcolm & Eddie, Major Cimes and 9-1-1. He also co-hosted the podcast Not All Hood with his friend, Candace Kelley. "His other biggest mission, besides his family, was just being a good person," Kelley told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview published on July 24. "He wanted to be remembered like that; he has said that, he just wants to be remembered as a good person, and by all accounts, he's got that down. He really did. That was really sincere." Michelle Saniei and Aaron Nosler End Their Relationship After a Year Together
The Valley star Michelle Saniei has split from her boyfriend Aaron Nosler after one year of dating, PEOPLE confirms. PEOPLE also confirms that in wake of the split, Saniei, 36, is focusing on her 5-year-old daughter, Isabella, whom she shares with ex Jesse Lally, as well as work and taking care of herself as she navigates this new chapter in her life. Saniei started dating Nosler, 38, a financial advisor, after her separation from Lally in 2023. In a May 2024 Instagram Live, she described how they met at a coffee shop after Isabella waved at him. '[Isabella and Aaron] had a little interaction from far away, and I didn't see it ... and then I got my coffee and then left, and Aaron and I actually didn't speak," she said. "A couple of days or a week later, he saw us again and then it was kind of the same thing. So, Isabella was actually the introduction and it was just very natural.' Nosler made frequent appearances with Saniei on season 2 of The Valley. During the July 1 episode of the show, Lally, 43, had a conversation with Nosler at a dinner in Hawaii to address things that "bothered" him. "Having my mother and my friends send me screenshots of you with my daughter on Father's is disrespectful to post a picture of my daughter without even asking her father if that's okay," Lally said. "That was a big slap in the face from Michelle.' In response, Nosler said that "completely slipped my mind." "We were having such a good day supporting her, and I put myself in your shoes and I was like, 'Yeah, that's not right,' so I took it down," he said. "But like, treat us with respect.' Lally then asked if he "did or did not cross the line when I was married to Michelle." "No, absolutely not," Nosler responded. "We texted here and there once for that coffee meeting at Blackwood and another time when I said, 'Hey, come to Runyon. I'm selling honey.' Other than that, we would run into each other all the time.' During a confessional, Lally said that "I 1,000 percent think [Michelle and Aaron] had a physical and emotional relationship before we separated." "How else do you explain having a boyfriend two weeks after being separated while still living in my house?' he asked. Saniei has denied having an affair. In the season 2 finale that aired on July 22, Saniei and Lally decided to put their differences aside in order to better co-parent Isabella. Saniei said she was 'choosing to give [Jesse] the benefit of the doubt." The Valley reunion airs Tuesday, July 29, at 8 p.m. ET. Read the original article on People
