MLB suspends Cubs minor leaguer Anhuar Garcia 60 games for PED use
The 21-year-old right-hander tested positive for methenolone, an anabolic steroid that is in violation of the Joint Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, according to MLB.
Garcia, a native of Mexico who is in his first season with the Cubs organization, is 1-3 this season with a 5.91 ERA, 14 walks and 35 strikeouts in 32 innings over seven games (six starts) for the Cubs in the Arizona Complex League.
The Cubs placed Garcia on the restricted list on Tuesday with the suspension effective immediately.

August 16 - Nolan McLean pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings to earn a victory in his major league debut as the New York Mets topped the visiting Seattle Mariners 3-1 on Saturday. Crawford and Cole Young to open the third, Raleigh lined a single to right to load the bases. Julio Rodriguez hit a hard one-hopper up the middle that McLean reached behind his back to snare, then threw to second base to start an inning-ending double play. Mariners starter Bryan Woo (10-7) gave up one run on six hits over six innings, with two walks and eight strikeouts. The game's first run came in the third. Brett Baty, the No. 9 hitter in the Mets' lineup, grounded a single to right just out of the reach of diving second baseman Young, and Lindor followed with a double into the right-field corner, with Baty scoring from first. The Mets tacked on two runs in the seventh, as Baty led off with a single to right off reliever Caleb Ferguson and stole second. Baty advanced to third on Lindor's single to left and scored on Juan Soto's sacrifice fly to center. Lindor was thrown out at the plate by Randy Arozarena on Brandon Nimmo's single to left. Myles Straw's career day leads Blue Jays to blowout of Rangers
August 16 - Myles Straw was 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs, and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Texas Rangers 14-2 on Saturday afternoon. It was Straw's first career multi-homer game while his four hits tied his career high. August 16 - Cade Cavalli recorded his first major-league win after tossing seven scoreless innings, fueling the host Washington Nationals to a 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday.
