A single vehicle crash south of Brantford has sent a motorcyclist to hospital.
In a social media post at 8:42 p.m. Friday, Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Ed Sanchuk said Cockshutt Road was closed between Indian Line and Hagan Road after a crash involving a motorcycle.
Police were initially called to the crash just before 6 p.m., and investigators anticipated the road closure would last for several hours.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact police.
The crash falls on Friday the 13th, a day when many motorcyclists hit the road to take part in celebrations in Port Dover.
Sanchuk said there were still many motorcyclists on the road and urged drivers to be extra cautious to ensure everyone made it home safely.
