Nina Dobrev Is ‘Really Proud' of Fiancé Shaun White Following His Brand Whitespace's Fashion Week Debut (Exclusive)
Nina Dobrev is supporting her fiancé Shaun White as he makes his first foray into the world of high fashion!
Speaking exclusively with PEOPLE, the actress, 36, opened up about the moment her Olympian fiancé, 38, debuted his brand Whitespace's first high-fashion collaboration with Moncler Grenoble at its fall/winter 2024 show in Switzerland on Feb. 3, 2024, for Fashion Week.
"It was really exciting. I'm really proud of him," the Vampire Diaries alum says, speaking with PEOPLE for her partnership with SC Johnson for the Join Zuzu campaign to spread awareness about the dangers of plastic waste and importance of recycling.
"I mean, to have such a gorgeous collection and collaboration with such an established company like Moncler and have Whitespace work with them and see it on the runway with all these top models carrying the boards was very surreal for all of us and really exciting," Dobrev adds.

White — who popped the question to Dobrev in New York City in late October — founded his snowboarding gear brand in 2022, and the company's collab with Moncler marked one of its first ventures into the world of high fashion.
"Moncler is a very unique brand, and they always do some type of experience, so they didn't disappoint," the Olympic gold medalist told Esquire in February 2024 of the Switzerland fashion show just days prior. "Obviously the clothes were amazing, and it was especially amazing to see somebody take on this technical space and add the fashionable component to it. It's about time."
"I had been in talks with Moncler since the pandemic, and we finally found ourselves in a position where I was making really great snowboards, and they wanted to get into more technical outerwear with the Grenoble line. It's a perfect symmetry because Whitespace definitely aligns with Moncler's fashion-meets-function ideals," he added to the outlet. "I feel like we could give them some credibility in the performance space, and they could give us some cool cred in the fashion world."
White has continued to work with Moncler, and he and Dobrev attended the brand's latest show in Switzerland on March 15.

Elsewhere in her conversation with PEOPLE, Dobrev spoke about advocating for ocean cleanup through SC Johnson's latest campaign — and detailed a vacation she took with White, her longtime BFF Julianne Hough and her The Out-Laws costar Adam Devine — for her 34th birthday two years ago that left her aghast.
"We went on a trip for my birthday to Indonesia, and I had already been to this specific place and I loved it so much that I wanted to bring my friends back there. And when I went back, I was truly stunned in a horrible way at how much the same beach that I'd visited previously — there was no beach left," she recalls.
"As soon as I heard about this initiative that SC Johnson is doing, it made me really happy and inspired and I wanted to get involved right away," she says of their advocacy campaign, which uses a video of Zuzu the hermit crab to spur action.
"I feel like that's why so many people can't get on board is because it's sort of out of sight, out of mind. You don't really see it, but you see it in this film and it really holds you accountable to do something, I think," she adds.

The Olympic snowboarder first revealed their engagement in an interview with Vogue, and the couple shared the happy news on Instagram soon after, with White posting a series of photos and the caption: "She said YES."
Dobrev shared the same photos, captioning her post, "RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé."

Taraji P. Henson Goes Textural in Christian Siriano Dress for ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'
Taraji P. Henson was joined by filmmaker Tyler Perry during their joint appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on Tuesday in New York City. The director and Oscar-nominated actress were on-hand to discuss their forthcoming film 'Straw.' For the late-night talk show appearance, Henson turned to the runway for her attire. The actress put a textural, contemporary spin on the little black dress with flashes of classic inspiration courtesy of designer Christian Siriano. The sleeveless black dress featured a plunging neckline and midi length, which showcased Henson's heels courtesy of Giuseppe Zanotti. The dress included such elements as a cinched waist for added silhouette definition and featured a corseted element as well. Henson kept the dress as the centerpiece of her look, adding delicate pieces of jewelry, including rings and earrings. Her pixie cut hair was styled in a sleek look with makeup elements featuring bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip. Siriano's little black dress follows an ongoing trend of creative takes on the wardrobe staple. On Monday, Amanda Seyfried styled a little black dress by Rabanne with a bevy of fringe details. Back in May 2024, Sydney Sweeney wore a little black dress from Miu Miu's fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection that featured hip cutouts. Siriano's fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection was all about resistance, as noted by WWD's Thomas Waller in a review of the collection. 'The world has changed and Siriano wanted a bit of defiance on his runway, including a massive red cloak that was a direct nod to the final season of 'The Handmaid's Tale,'' Waller wrote. 'He collaborated with Hulu to design a custom piece that has been used as a sign of protest in the fight for women's rights worldwide. The protest idea was seen with a mix of his early red looks with cascading fabric that felt restrictive yet powerful.' Henson stars in Perry's 'Straw,' about a single mother who goes to unimaginable lengths to secure a future for herself and her young daughter. The film costars Sherri Shepherd and Teyana Taylor. Jodie Sweetin exclusively told PEOPLE that the Full House and Fuller House cast are in a very active group chat In the group chat, Dave Coulier recently shared an AI-generated image of his former costars as 'goths' "There was a Kourtney Kardashian lookalike in there who was supposed to be Becky [Katsopolis],' Sweetin saidJodie Sweetin never wants to leave her star-studded group chat. The Full House alum, who played Stephanie Tanner, exclusively told PEOPLE that the cast of the show and its reboot Fuller House are in a group chat. Before a live taping of her Full House rewatch podcast — How Rude, Tanneritos! — on June 5, Sweetin explained that Dave Coulier knows how to liven up the chatter, especially with his most recent AI-infused message. 'It was horrifying,' says the actress and podcaster, 43. Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone, had shared an AI-generated photo of the cast as 'goths.' 'Like, aged down goths. And for some reason, there was a Kourtney Kardashian lookalike in there who was supposed to be Becky [Katsopolis],' she adds of the character played by Lori Loughlin. 'But me and the Olsen twins were the same age, except for Mary-Kate, who actually looked like she does today.' is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! Bob Saget, the beloved late actor who played fun-loving patriarch Danny Tanner, was depicted as Geddy Lee, the lead singer of Rush. 'It was just a very, very strange thing. Dave made a joke. I didn't get it,' Sweetin continues, before saying she eventually understood. 'I was like, 'Oh, sorry actually, the joke was great.' ' Sweetin's sneak peek into the group chat came as she and former Full House costar Andrea Barber, 48, were hosting their live episode on Thursday, reuniting with John Stamos, 61, and Loughlin, 60, as part of their rewatch. The latter pair took a look back on the love story between their characters — Uncle Jesse and Becky Donaldson Katsopolis — and their season 4 wedding. The How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, which premiered in July as commentary on the beloved ABC series, also allows the two hosts to reminisce. 'Oh my gosh, we have been screaming, literally, I walked out screaming and saying, 'Jodie,' ' says Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler. 'I walked into her dressing room, and she was jumping up and down. And, you know, we do the podcast. When we do it, normally, we're each at our houses, and we do it over Zoom.' Barber said the live events are something she usually feels "really nervous and apprehensive" about, but she didn't experience either of those feelings when chatting with Stamos and Loughlin because she was "just stoked to be here." Carlos Alcaraz's Family Includes a Former Tennis Pro Dad
Professional tennis player Carlos Alcaraz comes from an athletic family that includes a former tennis pro dad. A 2023 Vogue profile story on Alcaraz, 22, sketched out his family background. The Spanish tennis phenom is playing in the French Open final on June 8 against Italian Jannik Sinner. Advertisement According to People, Alcaraz's family includes his father Carlos Alcaraz González and mother Virginia Garfia Escandon, and his three brothers, Álvaro, Sergio and Jaime. Alcaraz was raised "in a village outside Murcia called El Palmar," Spain, which he still visits on weekends, according to Vogue. "Some 40 years ago, his great-uncle built a tennis club there, on what was a clay-pigeon shooting range," according to Vogue, which said Alcaraz's dad played professional tennis "until he couldn't afford to continue." Alcaraz told Vogue he was born "with tennis in my blood," and his dad "became the director" of the family tennis club. Alcaraz also has an older brother named Alvaro, who "played in tournaments before him" and two younger brothers who are "passionate about tennis." Advertisement According to that article, Alcaraz's mom "worked as a shop assistant at IKEA." Alcaraz "got his first racket at the age of four," and his father told Vogue he would cry as a kid when he had to stop playing tennis in order to have dinner. 'In my family, I think we have the sport in our blood,' Alcaraz told The New York Times. 'We all played from the time we were young.' He told "You have to be surrounded by great people. I'm a lucky guy to have such a great team. I'm going to say the best team in the tour right now,' Alcaraz says. 'But also my family, my friends are nice persons. For me, it's really, really important. As I said, doing great in tennis because of the people that I have around.'
