Porta Fortuna makes stylish return to action
Donnacha O'Brien's filly has a superb CV and is a four-time Group winner who has been out of the top three only once in her career when unplaced in the Breeders' Cup Mile last November.
Under Ryan Moore the 5-4 favourite took to the track for the first time this season and showed all of her class was still intact with a resolute Group Two success from Paddy Twomey's One Look.
'It was a lovely starting point for her. She did things right, relaxed nicely and quickened up well,' said O'Brien.
'Ryan said she got a little bit idle in front. That's beautiful and should set her up nicely for Ascot now.
'The Queen Anne seems likely, we have the option of that or the Duke of Cambridge, but I think she won so nicely and she's training good and she's happy and healthy. I think we have to look at the Queen Anne.'
When asked if the Breeders Cup would be the late-season target again, he added: 'We'll see what happens. It was a target last year and the year before so it seems like an obvious possibility at the end of the year.
'We'll get through the rest of the year and see how she is and hatch a plan then.'
Porta Fortuna was cut to 6-1 from 8-1 for the Queen Anne with both Betfair and Coral.

Clover favouring York for Tabletalk's next date
He has course and distance form after winning the Melrose Handicap there last summer and Clover also has the potential of the Irish St Leger later in the season. Clover said: 'He ran well in the Aston Park Stakes and there is a one-mile-six-furlong Listed race at York, so we'll go there I think. 'He's obviously won the Melrose, so the one-mile-six is well within his grasp. He had a really good race again in Group Three company which is really good to see and he's had two really good races in Group company, so he looks like he's going in the right direction. 'The Irish St Leger could work and I need to speak to the owner as to where we go from there. There's lots of options available to us so we'll have to see where we go and it will be dictated by where we go up until then.' Clover is keeping his options open with Invictus Gold. The three-year-old won a Newmarket handicap on his most recent start, with the Wokingham and Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes possible options, although a trip to York offers an alternative test for the son of Invincible Spirit. Clover said: 'He could well go to the Wokingham. There's a nice handicap at York the Saturday before which is for three-year-olds only which we could look at for him. 'He's at his best on top of the ground. He's run well on good to soft but I don't think he'd want it really soft, so that dictates to a certain extent where we go. 'It's whether we want to give lots of weight away at York or be a more nicely-weighted horse potentially in the Wokingham if we get in. I think historically we'll get a run in the Wokingham, so fingers crossed that might work still and we could also think about throwing him into the Holyrood if we wanted to.' Clover all but ruled Al Nayyir out of the Ascot Gold Cup, adding: 'I'd be surprised if Al Nayyir takes his chance in the Gold Cup. He was a little disappointing at Sandown last week so I think we'll probably give that a swerve.'

Quddwah heading for Queen Anne date
Three career visits to the Berkshire track have resulted in two wins and a creditable fifth in the QEII on Champions Day and he returned to action with a pleasing success at ParisLongchamp. 'Quddwah is good and has come out of it very well. He won what was a hot Listed race well and that should put him spot on for Royal Ascot,' said Ed Crisford. 'We're planning to go to the Queen Anne at Ascot. It's going to be a red-hot race, but he deserves to be in it and has some good course form – he won the Summer Mile at the track well last year and ran well enough in the QEII at the end of last year at Ascot. 'That day he was dropped out and sat last and came with a run, but it was all too late and he finished fifth. This year he's going to be a bit wiser to that top-level racing having experienced that and deserves his chance to run in a race like the Queen Anne.' Crisford also had news of smart filly Arabian Dusk, who was a Group Two winner as a juvenile and finished third to Lake Victoria in the Cheveley Park Stakes. She is also bound for the Royal meeting. She appears to be coming nicely to the boil this year and was most recently seen missing out by a short head to Symbol Of Honour in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock. 'She's come out of Haydock superbly well and, all being well, will head to the Commonwealth Cup at Ascot,' added Crisford. 'The fillies' programme is never ideal at this time of year and you do find yourself running against colts, but she is showing up well against them and she's a high-quality sprinter. 'A straight, stiff six (furlongs) at Ascot is probably exactly what she wants. It's going to be a hot race, but if she can run to the best she can do, I think she will be right in the mix.'
