HE first rose to fame on the X Factor back in 2012 and while many have faded into obscurity, Jake Quickenden has firmly cemented himself as a household name.
But the 36-year-old is the first to admit there's a dark side to it all, which rarely gets talked about but affects everyone in the industry - money.

Jake told us: 'I'm always worrying about work, you see work come and go, you're wondering when your next job's coming in.
'Obviously you go on a show such as Big Brother and you're loved by some people and hated by others, and there's a lot of factors that you have to think about with reality TV.
'It can be a tough place to be sometimes.'
As well as the X Factor, Jake has appeared on I'm A Celebrity, Dancing on Ice, SAS Who Dares Wins and MasterChef to name a few.
He has also appeared in a number of stage roles and is making a name for himself in the theatre world.
Speaking to The Sun via WhichBingo, Jake - who is a dad of three - said: 'I'm obviously worried from job to job because money is the main thing that kind of keeps you ticking over.
'You want to pay your mortgage, you wanna be able to go on holiday when you choose and stuff, so I guess there's always a worry if you're not working, that you're not earning money.
'I'm not a multi-millionaire, but I've got savings in case some work doesn't come in for a year and I'm auditioning and it doesn't go my way.
'You've got to use your head and think, in the past when I was younger I'd probably just spend all my money and blow it and then not think about the consequences, but when you're a father and you've got a family and a house and a car to pay for then you do have to put a bit of money away for a rainy day or in case work's not coming in.'
Jake and wife Sophie are parents to children Leo and Kit, who was born at the start of the year.
Jake Quickenden and wife Sophie welcome second child together
He is also step dad to Sophie's son Freddie from a previous relationship.
The star revealed his kids are his biggest inspiration, telling us: 'Everything I do is for them.
'I wanna set them up for a decent life and I wanna give them a decent amount of savings.'
And Jake has no plans of slowing down soon, adding: 'I don't feel I ever do enough, so I'll continue to just kind of work my a***e off and and hopefully continue for a very long time.'

When he was offered a Rattler cider, Wills, 42, quipped: 'Everyone remembers their first Rattler. You don't remember your last.' He pretended to turn his nose up at the zero per cent alcohol option he was initially offered and asked for the proper stuff. At a gin stand, Wills joked he could 'see what today's going to be like' and also teased Sophie. They had been taken into a food and drinks tent, where Sophie was also seen happily chatting to a mother and baby about local produce. They went first to a chutney stand and then to the gin stall as William said: 'We've come from the chutneys straight into booze.' They were shown several gins before each were given one to try. He caught the Duchess going for another sip and joked to her: 'She said, 'You're not allowed to finish it'. You've got to watch her.' Sophie, 60, responded: 'He's learnt from the best.' Wills joked back: 'I've been caught out with whisky a few too many times. Desperate Harry & Meghan jump from idea to idea, only William & Kate have true clout "I think I can do that and then, 'Oh no I couldn't'.' The pair were also given a traditional Cornish pasty by Ann's Pasties. They then moved to the Healeys Cyder Farm stand, where William said: 'Look at the Rattler selection. Ah, definitely I'm happy about that.' Head of hospitality Laura Clerehugh, 36, said: 'I was going to say, you've had a Rattler.' William responded: 'Everyone remembers where they were when they had their first Rattler, I can tell you that.' He then laughingly agreed that you don't remember your last. Wills then asked about the 'zero' on the bottle, and when told that it meant zero alcohol he put the cup down and said: 'Oh no, no, no. I need original. Someone bring out the big guns.' Sources said the day was a huge success. Sophie has been touted as the Royal Family's 'secret weapon' thanks to her unwavering support for the monarchy and dedication to charities. She was ranked the fourth hardest working royal of last year, having carried out 257 engagements. Her welcome contribution comes at a difficult time for the Royal Family. They were rocked last year when the King and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer. Charles continues to receive treatment, while Kate announced earlier this year that she was in remission. The King had a blast yesterday as he fired an artillery piece on a visit to the Royal Regiment of Artillery at Larkhill, Wiltshire.

England football ace Millie Bright leaves fiancé & falls for married personal trainer ‘in a big way'

'The fall-out has been enormous, but Millie has fallen hook, line and sinker for her ideal man', claims an insider Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ENGLAND football ace Millie Bright has left her fiancé and fallen for a married personal trainer. The Lionesses defender, 31, pulled out of Euro 2025 this week — stating she was unable to 'give 100 per cent mentally or physically'. It is understood he has now left his wife and is living at Chelsea captain Millie's luxury house. There is no suggestion either of them cheated on their partners. Pals said Millie — who won Euro 2022 and led England to the World Cup final in 2023 — met the trainer last year after starting to work out at a gym in Redhill, Surrey. Sources say she later struck up a friendship with the married dad, who we are not identifying. Earlier this year she split from Levi, and the trainer broke up with his wife 'out of the blue'. A source told The Sun: 'Millie's shock withdrawal from the England squad ahead of Euro 2025 left fans open-mouthed. 'She has always loved playing for her country, and spoke of her pride in doing so.' They went on: 'She has fallen for this guy in a big way, and that has come with some big sacrifices. "The fall-out has been enormous, but Millie has fallen hook, line and sinker for her ideal man.' England Lionesses announce squad for Euro 2025 after THREE withdrawals Other sources close to Millie stressed her withdrawal was based purely on her need for an operation to fix a long-term injury. Millie and Levi shared a home in Surrey and their families were close. In December 2023, she announced their engagement on social media, flashing her diamond ring on holiday in Mauritius. She has referred to Levi as her 'king' who was with her 'through thick and thin'. She even has a tattoo of his eye on her arm which has been shown prominently in official squad photos. But fans noticed she had removed any mention of him from her social media accounts and deleted the engagement post. Millie has undergone minor knee surgery after a stellar season with Chelsea, winning the treble and finishing unbeaten domestically. She said pulling out of the upcoming Euros in Switzerland 'was not an easy decision', adding: 'I just don't feel 100 per cent mentally or physically in a position to go on and compete in a tournament.' She aimed to 'get myself back in tip-top condition and just happy again, I think, all round, just feeling like myself'. England's first game is against much-fancied France on July 5. Last night a spokesman for Millie declined to comment.
