Tom Cruise Says He and Brad Pitt Would ‘Go Drive Go-Karts All Night' During Breaks From ‘Interview with the Vampire': ‘He's a Very Good Driver'
Tom Cruise says he and Brad Pitt raced go-karts to unwind after long days of filming 'Interview with the Vampire.' Cruise, who starred as Lestat opposite Pitt's Louis in Neil Jordan's 1994 film, took part in Paramount Pictures' presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday, where he expressed excitement about Pitt's upcoming film 'F1.'
'Brad's got a new movie with Jerry Bruckheimer and Joe Kosinski. I can't wait to see that this summer. It'll be awesome,' Cruise said, according to CinemaBlend. 'It's great to see Brad driving,' He added. 'He's very good.'

'F1,' produced by Bruckheimer and directed by Kosinski, stars Pitt as a retired Formula 1 driver who makes a long-awaited return to racing. Cruise told the CinemaCon crowd he's got firsthand experience with Pitt's driving ability, sharing an anecdote from the set of 'Interview with the Vampire.'
'He's a very good driver,' Cruise said. 'Believe me, I've raced against him. When we were doing 'Interview with the Vampire,' we'd go and race go-karts. We'd literally finish and go drive go-karts all night.' Though Cruise seems to remember the filming of 'Interview with the Vampire' fondly, Pitt has previously bemoaned the shoot, telling Entertainment Weekly in 2011 that the 'miserable' shoot felt like 'six months in the fucking dark.'
While Louis and Lestat don't get behind the wheel of go-karts in 'Interview with the Vampire,' Jordan's film (based on Anne Rice's 1979 novel) does end with Cruise's centuries-old vampire taking a joyride in a convertible after making a miraculous return from un-death.
'F1' hits theaters June 27.

F1 Is So American Now It Even Has Its Own KFC Meal
The latest car news, reviews, and features. I remember people asking me about my favorite sport when I was a kid. I'd just say 'car racing,' never bothering to specify it was Formula 1 because no one in the U.S. knew what the hell that was back then. Nine out of 10 times, people would say, 'Oh, you like NASCAR!' That's not the case anymore, as F1 has officially broken into American culture. The Liberty Media-owned racing series is as recognizable across the country as the NFL, and I don't need any silly studies or viewership statistics to prove this. All I need to validate this theory is the KFC commercial embedded below, promoting the KFC Fill Up Box Box Box. Get it? Box box box. What's more American than KFC? Oh, what's that—McDonald's, you say? Well, rumor has it the Golden Arches is also coming out with an F1-themed Happy Meal. I know what you're thinking: the KFC commercial is promoting the F1 movie and not exactly the F1 series. Okay, sure, but that's pretty much the same thing, given that the film was intended to serve as a marketing tool for the series from day one. The Joseph Kosinski-directed movie features Brad Pitt and Damson Idris as headliners, and took two years to finish, while an '11th F1 team' traveled the world for 16 months filming real on-track scenes during actual racing weekends. Some reports peg the total cost of the movie at around $300 million. As someone who grew up with F1 since the late '80s and has witnessed its incredible growth in the U.S. thanks to Netflix's Drive to Survive, these advertisements are a finish line of sorts. F1 has made it into mainstream media, and now into the marketing-hungry fast food industry. It simply doesn't get more American than that. F1, you've arrived. Got a tip? Email us at tips@

Mads Mikkelsen Returns as Bond Villain Le Chiffre in HITMAN x 007: FIRST LIGHT Video Game Crossover Event — GeekTyrant
Mads Mikkelsen is stepping back into villain mode—and not just any villain. Seventeen years after facing off with James Bond in Casino Royale , Mikkelsen is reprising his role as the cold-blooded Le Chiffre for a crossover event that brings IO Interactive's Hitman series face-to-face with its highly anticipated Bond game, 007 :First Light . This past weekend, Le Chiffre officially became the newest Elusive Target in Hitman , available across all major platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even the newly released Nintendo Switch 2. Players have until July 6th to hunt him down in a new mission titled The Banker. Mikkelsen himself provides the voice. According to the official event description: 'Mads Mikkelsen returns as Le Chiffre, the iconic private banker to the criminal underworld, known for his mastery of games of chance and probability. 'A recent failed venture left him in dire straits, losing vast sums of both legitimate and illicit capital, and in a desperate bid to recover, he has arranged a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Monarchique in Paris. 'Agent 47 has been tasked with infiltrating the perilous event and will have to find his way to his target to prevent havoc being wreaked across the world.' IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced the crossover during Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles, where Mikkelsen took the stage with IO CEO Hakan Abrak to reveal the collaboration. The event doubles as a promo for IO's upcoming Bond title 007: First Light , set for release in 2026. There's also a little bonus for players: anyone who takes out Le Chiffre during the limited-time Hitman mission and has an IOI account will unlock an exclusive casino suit for 007: First Light . It's pretty cool that Mikkelsen is playing Le Chiffre again after all these years. He's easily one of the most memorable Bond villains of the modern era.
