Goldson played over 300 times for Rangers across a six-year spell at Rangers.
He won the Scottish Premiership title in 2020/21 and had several memorable moments in light blue, including a brace in a 2-0 win over Celtic at Parkhead.
Goldson gave an emotional message after departing Rangers last summer. He said: "The time has come, it's my time to get off the train and the ride that we have been on together for the past six years.
"What a six years it has been and what a pleasure it was to be a part of this amazing football club. We went through many highs and many lows together but throughout the journey I can promise you that I gave this club everything I had.
"I tried to lead by example every single day I walked into that building and strived to make the football club a better place than when I signed, it wasn't perfect and neither was I cut I can honestly sit here and look myself in the mirror and say I gave it my all and nobody cared more."

Rangers star completes big-money transfer exit from Ibrox as Light Blues rake in HUGE profit

Russell Martin has also said goodbye to several first team players as well, with another star now heading for the exit door too. 3 Jefte has completed a switch back to his homeland Credit: Willie Vass 3 Russell Martin alongside Danilo and Jefte at full-time Credit: SNS 3 Jefte in action against Viktoria Plzen Credit: Getty Brazilian left-back Jefte is officially the latest Rangers player to leave the club - to complete a stunning move back to his homeland. The 21-year-old has been in talks over a proposed return to Brazil for a number of days, after giants Palmeiras made him their number one transfer target this month. It was revealed the Brazilian outfit were keen on signing the full-back in a"multi-million pound deal - despite a struggling start to his season in Glasgow this summer. He didn't paint himself in the best light against Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Republic and was at fault for their opening goal in the second leg. But in the aftermath of that disappointing display, the news of Palmeiras' interest continued to ramp up. Jefte was then REMOVED from Rangers' European squad with Martin confirming over the weekend that he had travelled to Brazil. And now, the Sao Paulo outfit have sealed the deal. SunSport understands the Gers have raked-in a huge £6.5million fee for the left-back. That sees the Gers bank a healthy profit on a player they spent just £800,000 on a year ago. In a brief statement online, the Ibrox club said: "Rangers Football Club can today confirm the departure of Jefté to Palmeiras for an undisclosed fee. Rangers MISS OUT on top striker target as failures of loan strategy exposed "The 21-year-old, who joined the club in May 2024, made 56 appearances for Rangers during his time in Glasgow. "Everyone at Rangers thanks Jefté for his contribution while at the club, and we wish him well for his future career." Russell Martin added a left-back reinforcement last weekend. Jayden Meghoma joined on loan from Brentford and was thrust into the action from the start against Club Brugge on Tuesday night. With Ridvan Yilmaz also looking likely to leave Rangers, the Light Blues could look to go back into the market for another player in the position. Brendan Rodgers on Celtic fans 'sack the board' chant and who will really pay the price

The fans unleashed their fury during and after the goalless draw with Kairat Almaty Concerned Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers reckons it's normally the MANAGER that is shown the door when fans chant 'sack the board' ‌ It was a tough evening for the Scottish Premiership champions as the Kazakhstan side Kairat Almaty held the Hoops to a goalless draw the first leg of the Champions League playoff. ‌ The Celtic fans vented their anger at the Parkhead decision-makers after a sluggish transfer window going into the £40million shoot-out - with chants of 'sack the board' heard ringing out from the stands. ‌ Tensions have been bubbling throughout the summer with Rodgers making it clear that he would like to see more new faces coming in the door, particularly up front. The club now face the prospect of a 7000-mile round trip for the second leg as they look to return to the league phase of Europe's elite competition. Speaking to TNT Sports, Rodgers was asked if the board would listen to him and the support: "I don't know, I can only concentrate on the team that we have currently. I can't get too distracted by what I don't have..." Pressed on if he understands what the fans are saying, he went on: "Yeah, absolutely. But sack the board? "I don't know any board that gets sacked, it's usually the manager. At any club I ever see it's the manager that gets sacked, not the board. "But listen, we have to go away and analyse tonight and see where we could be better. ‌ "The guys at the top end of the pitch are giving their all, but like I have said many times - to progress at this level, we need to have more - it's as simple as that. 'But, we won't have that for Tuesday and our concentration is now for Saturday with Livingston to freshen up, with a mammoth journey, and hopefully it ends with the Champions League league phase."
