Goldson played over 300 times for Rangers across a six-year spell at Rangers.
He won the Scottish Premiership title in 2020/21 and had several memorable moments in light blue, including a brace in a 2-0 win over Celtic at Parkhead.
Goldson gave an emotional message after departing Rangers last summer. He said: "The time has come, it's my time to get off the train and the ride that we have been on together for the past six years.
"What a six years it has been and what a pleasure it was to be a part of this amazing football club. We went through many highs and many lows together but throughout the journey I can promise you that I gave this club everything I had.
"I tried to lead by example every single day I walked into that building and strived to make the football club a better place than when I signed, it wasn't perfect and neither was I cut I can honestly sit here and look myself in the mirror and say I gave it my all and nobody cared more."

Jake Paul's opponent 'laughed out of the gym' by boxing rival ahead of fight
Boxing legend Shawn Porter has backed Jake Paul to beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr after he was left amused by what he saw from the Mexican in training. Paul is scheduled to make his boxing return on June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, against the former WBC middleweight champion. The 'Problem Child' has not fought since he cruised to a points victory over Mike Tyson back in November. Chavez Jr has been fairly inactive since losing the middleweight world title back in 2012. With a professional record of 54-6-1-1, the 39-year-old has fought the likes of Daniel Jacobs, Canelo Alvarez and Andy Lee. He comes into the cruiserweight dust-up off the back of a win against ex-UFC star Uriah Hall last July. While many are expecting a tough night at the office for Paul, Porter has confidently predicted that the 28-year-old will get the victory later this month. Speaking on The Porter Way Podcast, he said. 'I got Jake Paul by KO.' The boxing icon then explained how previously seeing Chavez Jr in the gym helped him come to that conclusion. 'He doesn't have a gas tank. That means you're not working and training out of the gym. I saw the in gym stuff and you scratch your head like 'that was it for the day?' He said. 'One day he came into the gym he shadow boxed, I don't know if he made it a round on the bag, then he packed up and left … I've seen some short stuff. I don't want to disrespect but it will make you scratch your head. The other fighters were laughing like 'that was it? Why did he show up?'' With just a few weeks to go until the clash, Paul is confident that he will "embarrass" Chavez Jr. "I'm gonna shock the world once again and prove how good I am, how powerful I am," the 28-year-old said at the launch press conference. "This is his toughest fight to date, and I'm going to embarrass him and make him quit like he always does." He added: "I don't want any excuses, and when I beat this man all the boxing media, like you guys always do, are going to discredit it. But I'm gonna expose him and I'm gonna embarrass him. He's the embarrassment of Mexico. Mexico doesn't claim him. "He's going to get exposed on June 28, and then the boxing media will have all these excuses but I don't want them to be having these excuses. They say he's training hard, they say this is the most focused he's ever been, good. As he should be, because people don't realise how good I actually am, and when he feels those first few punches he's going to want to quit and go back to his stool."

The 10-cap England star is believed to be one of Russell Martin's top transfer targets as he aims to complete some quick-fire deals after taking over as Rangers boss. Sporting director Kevin Thelwell hinted at Martin's first press conference that the club will be looking for experienced players to join their squad - and Coady ticks those boxes. And the Daily Record now claim the Light Blues have opened talks with the Foxes over his availability. Coady is a versatile player who can operate in midfield or as a ball-playing centre-back. Martin's philosophy is all about playing out from the back so he could slot into the manager's system very well. Coady still has a year left on his contract at the King Power Stadium but will have to take a cut after their relegation to the second tier. The Foxes will want to cut their wage bill but Coady's future at the club is currently unclear. It's particularly complicated by the fact there are still question marks over Ruud van Nistelrooy's future as well. Meanwhile, Rangers are also chasing Israel forward Dor Turgeman. Turgeman is currently away with Israel on international duty but Thelwell are keen to do quick business for the attacker. The Rangers manager is also a long-term fan of his former Swansea defender Harry Darling. The centre half is set to become a free agent and but the Light Blues will face a fight to land him. Three foreign clubs ‘interested in Rangers star' as Russell Martin looks to clean house at Ibrox
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) RANGERS look set to have a busy transfer window after the recent 49ers takeover, and business may already be underway. Three clubs are reported to be chasing winger Ross McCausland's signature. 2 Ross McCausland could be leaving Rangers this summer after attracting worldwide interest Credit: Alex Todd 2 New boss Russell Martin looks set to have a busy transfer window Credit: Willie Vass The 22-year-old academy graduate has featured 66 times for the Light Blues, scoring seven goals and setting up the same amount. The Northern-Irishman is under contract at the Ibrox club until 2027, but could be leaving his boyhood club as soon as this summer. Sky Sports are reporting that OH Leuven of Belgium are reportedly keen on the winger, as well as FC Basel of Switzerland and FC Cincinnati in the MLS all chasing McCausland's permanent signature. New boss Russell Martin was announced this week, as he appeared to beat Davide Ancelotti to the Ibrox hot seat. It is clear the former Southampton boss has a busy summer ahead of him as he looks to build his squad for the upcoming campaign. Interest has been building in midfield pair Mohamed Diomande and Nicolas Raskin, but the new boss has made his stance clear. In his Ibrox unveiling he said, simply: "We have to try and keep our best players." Nicolas Raskin played all 90-minutes for Belgium against North Macedonia at the weekend, with the game finishing 1-1. His former boss, and fellow countryman, Philippe Clement has tipped the midfielder to go onto big things. Clement said: "I think he's ready. I'm convinced Nico would fit perfectly in the Premier League. Rangers fans react as 49ers takeover completed "I'm not saying he would be in a top six team now. But just below that, so he can calmly adapt to the level." Rangers are also looking to strengthen their squad, with the rumour mill already swirling on that front too. It is reported that the Gers are looking to swoop in for England international, Conor Coady to shore up the back line, with Robin Propper set to return to his homeland. Israeli forward Dor Turgeman is also linked with the Ibrox side, with the 21-year-old impressing with 20 goals for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season.
