Family confirm mother who had been missing for days has been found

A MOTHER from south Wales has been reunited with family, three days after her disappearance.
Sian Jones, 53, from Rhiwbina in Cardiff, was reported missing on Thursday, February 13, and the last sighting was of her car being driven on the A4119 at Miskin, just off Junction 34 of the M4 at around 5pm that day.
South Wales Police launched an appeal which read: "Sian Jones, 53, from Rhiwbina in Cardiff, was last seen Thursday, February 13 is still missing.
"It is now known that her car, a 61-plate black Citroen C3 VTR+, was travelling northbound on the A4119 at Miskin, near junction 34 of the M4, at around 4.40pm on Thursday February 13.
"Sian is around 5ft 6ins tall and was last seen wearing black trousers, black coat with possibly a brown jumper underneath, black shoes and had a small handbag with her."
After tirelessly searching for Sian, her daughter Emily confirmed that she had been found and is now at home, as of Sunday February 16.

Fabian Road in Port Tennant was closed for a number of hours on Saturday (August 9) while emergency services responded to the incident. The road closure caused significant delays on the M4 near Britton Ferry. On Sunday morning, South Wales Police confirmed they are investigating the crash between a blue Volkswagen Passat and a motorcycle which occurred at 9.40am. The 48-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries. "Motorists who were in the area at the time are also urged to check for dashcam footage of the incident.' A woman has been arrested by police in Cardiff during a rally. Around 100 people joined a protest on the afternoon of Saturday, August 9, outside the UK Government buildings in the city centre over UK Government intervention in the Israel-Palestine conflict. Around ten officers from South Wales Police formed a barricade around the protestor as others began chanting "let her go" before she was removed from the scene by police. South Wales Police has since confirmed there was one arrest at the event, near Central Square, and the woman remains in custody. One attendee, Hannah, was protesting over Israeli actions in Palestine. " A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police supports the right for people to make their voices heard through protest providing it is done lawfully. "A protest took place in the vicinity of Central Square, Cardiff, today (August 9) and the majority were able to attend safely and lawfully. One woman was arrested and remains in custody." Second man charged with attempted murder in Cardiff park

A second man has been charged with attempted murder after a serious incident which saw a Cardiff park taped off. Christopher Newman, 43, from Caerau has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged assault at Heol Trelai, Caerau on Wednesday, June 25. Officers from South Wales Police were called to Heol Y Gaer where a man was found seriously injured just before midnight. The 32-year-old was left in a critical condition at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff following the incident. Mr Newman is due to appear before Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 8. A white and yellow coloured tent was erected within the cordon on parkland. A statement from South Wales Police released on Friday read: "Christopher Newman, 43, from Caerau, Cardiff has been charged with attempt murder and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court today (Friday, August 08). "Police were called to the field opposite Heol y Gaer where a 32-year-old man was found seriously injured just before midnight on June 25, 2025.
