Experience the Prophet's Journey: Saudi Arabia's Immersive Hijrah Route
Organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), this ambitious project garnered over one million global registrations. Consequently, the GEA selected 300,000 participants for the inaugural season. GEA Chairman Turki Alasheikh stated that the overwhelming response reflects deep worldwide interest in this key Islamic history event. Modern Technology Meets Ancient Path
The project employs cutting-edge technology to reconstruct the full 470-kilometer Hijrah route. Significantly, visitors can walk 305 kilometers of this path, as they will traverse restored landscapes and historical sites following the Prophet's (PBUH) footsteps.
Furthermore, teams have meticulously rehabilitated forty-one landmarks along the route, with eight stations and five interactive hubs narrate pivotal migration moments. Additionally, a dedicated Migration Museum will significantly deepen visitor understanding.
The experience prioritizes visitor comfort alongside spiritual reflection. Strategically placed along the route are thirty restaurants and fifty shops, with the infrastructure capably hosts up to 12,000 visitors daily.
GEA Chairman Turki Alasheikh emphasized, 'This project clearly demonstrates our leadership's commitment to preserving Islamic heritage. It offers everyone a unique opportunity to explore Hijrah landmarks and reflect on its timeless lessons.' Global Reach and Future Ambitions
International interest, particularly from Indonesia, has been exceptionally strong. Accordingly, international rollouts are planned for Malaysia, Turkey, and India, as Saudi Arabia aims to welcome five million visitors annually by 2030.
Moreover, specially designed 4×4 vehicles will ensure safe and comfortable transport for visitors in the route that traverses rugged terrain. Crucially, innovative technology now reduces the journey to the Cave of Thawr – a vital Hijrah site – from a strenuous two-hour climb to just three minutes.
'In the Prophet's Steps' masterfully blends historical authenticity, immersive storytelling, and modern conveniences. This initiative offers a deeply moving and accessible experience of the Prophet's (PBUH) migration. It vividly illuminates the profound spiritual and human values of the Hijrah for people worldwide.
The 'In the Prophet's Steps' project aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which emphasizes preserving and promoting Islamic history.

Saudi CAIOs now control 67% of AI budgets, outpacing global average
ALKHOBAR: Saudi Arabia's artificial intelligence leadership is gaining international attention, with Chief AI Officers in the Kingdom now overseeing 67 percent of their organizations' AI budgets, a figure that outpaces the global average of 61 percent, according to a new joint study by IBM and the Dubai Future Foundation. The report, based on surveys from more than 600 CAIOs across 22 countries, reveals how Saudi Arabia is aligning with global best practices while carving out its own AI roadmap tied to Vision 2030. One of the clearest signs of Saudi Arabia's AI momentum is the strong executive backing CAIOs receive. A remarkable 83 percent of respondents in the Kingdom said they have broad C-suite support, while 67 percent enjoy direct support from their CEOs. The study highlights that such backing is a key driver of success for AI initiatives, and in Saudi Arabia, it appears to be translating into action. The data also shows that 22 percent of organizations in the Kingdom have formally adopted the CAIO role, close to the global average of 26 percent. But what sets Saudi Arabia apart is its AI governance structure. Half of the surveyed companies in the Kingdom use a centralized or hub-and-spoke AI operating model, an approach shown to deliver up to 36 percent higher return on AI investments. Saudi CAIOs also tend to come from data-rich backgrounds, with 75 percent saying their careers have been focused on data, compared to 73 percent globally. This suggests a strong national emphasis on technical capability and analytics. However, the report also flagged a gap in internal talent development. Only 38 percent of CAIOs in Saudi Arabia were promoted from within their organizations, significantly below the global average of 57 percent. Addressing this could help foster long-term leadership pipelines in the Kingdom's rapidly growing AI sector.

Saudi Arabia Tourism's Future: NEOM and Red Sea Project
By: Ranim Elgabakhngi Tourism is at the forefront of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, for the sake of transforming the economy through an ambitious journey of change with two projects known as NEOM and Red Sea. As 2025 unfolds ahead of us, what can visitors truly expect from them? A Luxury Eco-System Hub By mid-2025, the Red Sea Project made noticeable strides, without question, by opening several sustainable resorts that offer a special, world-class experience, such as Six Senses Southern Dunes and The St. Regis Red Sea. All are accessible via The Red Sea International Airport (RSIA). With Shura Island also emerging as a major draw, it served to represent how the Red Sea Project could be, and potentially will be, a major game-changer in tourism. A Glimpse of the Future While NEOM remains equal in ambition as the Red Sea Project, it's more of a long-term play for 2025, with the first luxury island destination known as Sindalah Island opening its doors to welcome visitors as it positions itself as a yachting hub. However, The Line, Trojena for winter sports, and Oxagon, which is the floating city, are all still under development. Some infrastructure remains visible but not operational for tourism yet. Expectations to Hold Of course, The Red Sea Project will remain the leading luxury eco-tourism destination, while NEOM's Sindalah Island will gain high traction as an exclusive escape for high-net-worth individuals. 'The Line' will remain under construction, not being a primary tourist attraction just yet. And the overall visitor numbers to Saudi Arabia will continue to rise, exceeding forecasts. For 2025, The Red Sea Project is the immediate 'go-to' for luxury eco-tourism. NEOM, through Sindalah, offers a high-end niche, while its larger projects provide an amazing look at future urban innovation. Saudi Arabia continues its rapid tourism growth by focusing on luxury, sustainability, and unique cultural experiences that complement each individual's visit. Short link : Post Views: 37
