
Ducab partners with MBRHE to power sustainable living in Dubai
This collaboration reinforces Ducab's position as a trusted partner in delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions, aligning with the UAE's vision for modern, eco-friendly living and the development of future-ready communities.
As per the deal, Ducab will supply low-voltage power cables, along with wires and flexible cables and Flam BICC2 fire-resistant cables, to support the construction and maintenance of 432 residential units in Wadi Alamardi and 398 units in Al Awir.
Engineered to the highest standards of safety and durability, Ducab's cables will ensure reliable power distribution and superior fire protection, setting a new benchmark for environmentally conscious living in Dubai.
This initiative aligns with the UAE's broader strategic vision, including the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE Net Zero Strategy 2050.

Emirates Group co-locates to largest solar-powered data centre
The Emirates Group has joined forces with Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, for co-location services at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Moro Hub is the world's largest solar-powered data centre, as certified by the Guinness World Records, reported WAM. The co-location signifies a major shift for the Emirates Group's robust technology infrastructure as the organisation prepares for its next big growth trajectory. The Group expects to start relocating its data centre from mid-2026 to Moro Hub, who will provide comprehensive co-location services, including rack space, power, cooling, equipment supply, and other associated services. With this move, the Emirates Group will switch to clean energy to the tune of 3,000 megawatts annually, which is required to power the data centre. The agreement was signed in the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) by Michael Doersam, the Emirates Group's Chief Financial & Group Services Officer and Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman & Group CEO of Digital DEWA. Al Tayer said, 'Guided by the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, we continue to position Dubai as a global leader in sustainable digital innovation, fully aligned with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. Dewa seeks collaboration with US Electric Power Research Institute
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) held discussions with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the leading US organisation for electric power research and development, on ways to enhance collaboration in areas such as renewable energy training, network modernisation and energy storage solutions. The discussions took place during a visit by a high-level delegation from EPRI, led by Arshad Mansoor, President and CEO of EPRI, to Dewa's headquarters. The delegation was received by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dewa. The meeting also focused on strengthening strategic collaboration in research and development (R&D), sustainability and innovation in the energy sector. Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at Dewa, and Ghanem Al Qassim, Senior Manager - Solar Power at Dewa, attended the meeting. Al Tayer emphasised Dewa's commitment to cooperating with leading research and innovation centres worldwide to refine national competencies and equip them with the skills and expertise needed to lead the future, take on key roles in climate action, and accelerate the energy transition and digital transformation. This aligns with Dewa's comprehensive vision to promote sustainability and global objectives, building a more sustainable future based on advanced and eco-friendly solutions to achieve the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to provide 100 percent of Dubai's energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050, said Dewa in a statement.
