Kunal Kemmu Reviews Saiyaara, Praises Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda: ‘Both Are A Powerhouse'

Mohit Suri's musical romantic film 'Saiyaara', starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been receiving great reviews. The film, which released on July 18, earned a whopping Rs 20.50 crore on Day 1, making it the highest opening day figure for any film directed by Mohit Suri. Actor-director Kunal Kemmu has now shared his review of Saiyaara, and praised actors Ahaan and Aneet. Impressed by their performances, he wrote that they are blessed to be launched by the same director, Mohit Suri, who launched his career in Kalyug, back in 2005.
Kunal Kemmu took to his Instagram stories to share a poster of Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. He wrote, 'Last night I watched two new actors announce their arrival on the big screen and boy are they good. @aneetpadda and @ahaanpandayy you both are a powerhouse and blessed to be moulded in the hands of the same man who launched me back in 2005 with an incredible story and music just as fine as this one @mohitsuri".
Kunal also praised the talented artists behind the impressive soundtrack of Saiyaara. 'A big shoutout to the incredible artists who made the music for this one," he wrote. The music album of Saiyaara, consisting of 7 songs, is composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, Arslan Nizami, Vishal Mishra, Sachet-Parampara and The Rish (Rishabh Kant).
For the unversed, Kunal Kemmu starred as a child artist in several films including Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Dushman, etc, before his launch in Mohit Suri's 2005 action thriller film 'Kalyug'. The film also starred Emraan Hashmi, Smilie Suri, Deepal Shaw, Amrita Singh and Ashutosh Rana.

Saiyaara has been receiving good reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film has outperformed the Day 1 collections of Murder 2 (Rs 6.95 crore), Aashiqui 2 (Rs 6.10 crore), and Half Girlfriend (Rs 10.30 crore). It has also eclipsed the collections of Ek Villain (2014), which collected Rs 16 crore on its opening day, by becoming Mohit Suri's biggest opener ever.
Ahaan Panday plays Krish Kapoor, an aspiring singer, in Saiyaara, while Aneet Padda plays Vaani Batra, a budding journalist. As their love blossoms, they find themselves up against numerous odds. Set to a soundtrack that's already winning hearts, the film blends romance, ambition, and emotional drama.

Coolie vs War 2 box office advance: Rajinkanth-starrer heading for a Rs 80 crore opening, Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR film's overseas growth worrisome
The battle of the stars has already begun with two of the biggest movies of the year are releasing during the Independence Day weekend. Rajinikanth starrer Coolie and Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's War 2 are both releasing on the same day and their target audience is similar to each other. The advance bookings for both these films have started internationally, and in India, Coolie has already started minting money as they recently opened their advance booking. Presently, Coolie is doing much better than War 2 in the international markets. But since War 2 is yet to open ticket sales in India, it looks like the competition here might push War 2 ahead. According to Bollywood Hungama, Coolie has already sold tickets worth Rs 27 crore internationally, and their projections predict a massive Rs 80 crore opening day for the film. US collections of the film hold the biggest piece of this pie, followed by Malaysia, UAE, and Australia/New Zealand. On the other hand, the publication reported that War 2 is at Rs 4.5 crore in advance bookings internationally, with the Telugu version of the film contributing around 50 percent of the entire amount. With Jr NTR making his debut in Bollywood, this number could increase as well. Coolie, however, has opened the bookings, and the current numbers point towards a slow opening day. The film has sold seats worth Rs 2.8 crore across 2822 shows in the country. Accounting for block seats, that number goes up to Rs 5.27 crore. Both films have a star studded cast, and have been produced by deep pocketed studios, not to mention both are being helmed by well known directors. Backed by the Sun Group, the cast of Coolie includes Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir. Coolie is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. War 2 is being produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Studios, and the cast is filled with the likes of Hrithik, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana. War 2 is releasing in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
