‘Donald Trump's presidency is so bad, its unbelievable,' says Jimmy Kimmel before sharing plans of moving to Italy
It seems like no love has been lost between talk show hosts and President Donald Trump, as Jimmy Kimmel continues his onslaught of the president and his run in the office. The bashing is usually a part of the opening monologue he delivers during his talk show, but this time he shared his thoughts on Trump during an appearance on ex-beau Sarah Silverman's podcast. Kimmel shared how he has an exit plan for whenever things get too tough during the Trump reign and confirmed that he has in fact obtained the citizenship of Italy. He said, 'I did get Italian citizenship. What's going on [with Trump] is as bad as you thought it was going to be. It's so much worse; it's just unbelievable. I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be.' Jimmy Kimmel is already on the radar of President Donald Trump, as he promised that his show will be the next to go off air, after CBS cancelled the next season of the Late Show hosted by Stephen Colbert. ALSO READ: Stephen Colbert slams Donald Trump's India tariffs, warns it will hurt Americans: 'Never a great sign to be compared to…' In the wake of his show getting cancelled, Stephen Colbert makes it a point to talk about whatever Donald Trump has been up to throughout the week, and with the president commenting about which female celebrity is hot and which isn't, Colbert never has to dig too deep to poke fun at him. If Jimmy Kimmel's show does get cancelled, and he decides to leave the country, he will be joining names like Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres, who have already packed their rucksacks and moved someplace else. Even though he is ready to take such major steps, Kimmel admitted that he has no problem with the people who supported President Trump during his election against Kamala Harris. He clarified that he doesn't want to bash people on the basis of who they support and said, 'The door has to stay open. If you want to change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that is so hard and so rare to do. You are welcome to do so.' Donald Trump has now been attacked by several comedians, talk show hosts, actors, and showrunners of Hollywood for many of his actions, affiliations and the comments he has made while in office.

Shazia Iqbal questions industry's lack of support after Dhadak 2: ‘Do they feel the need to make relevant films?'
Director Shazia Iqbal has opened up about the lack of industry support for socially relevant cinema following the release of her powerful debut feature, Dhadak 2, which addresses casteism in India. The film, starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, released on 1 August and has since received widespread critical acclaim. Despite Dhadak 2's artistic merit, director Shazia Iqbal questions the industry's commitment to promoting such important narratives. Shazia expressed her frustration from Bollywood In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Shazia expressed frustration over the Bollywood industry's unwillingness to back films rooted in caste politics, despite their artistic merit and cultural importance. 'When a film makes ₹500 crore, there's an instant noise; people want to explore that genre, like horror-comedy after Stree. But how much does critical acclaim matter to producers and studios when a film talks about caste in such a strong way?,' Shazia asked. 'How much does it influence them to come out? Do they feel the need to make socially relevant films and talk about caste loudly in our films? It hasn't even been there subtly. We have taken more time, but I hope it happens for the sake of storytellers and filmmakers," she added. She also shared her joy at receiving praise from the filmmaking community, including Payal Kapadia, director of the Cannes-winning All We Imagine As Light, who called Dhadak 2 a 'landmark film.' About Dhadak 2 Dhadak 2 has earned just over ₹20 crore in the first 10 days of its theatrical run, navigating a highly competitive landscape marked by the release of films like Son of Sardaar 2 and Saiyaara. Adapted from the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, it follows a poignant college romance between Neelesh, an oppressed-caste law student, and Vidhi, an upper-caste woman. Their love faces brutal societal backlash, portrayed through harrowing acts of violence and systemic prejudice. The script was co-written by Iqbal and Rahul Badwelkar, and the film is produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.
