Serena Williams video leaves fans in disbelief as US tennis champion hints at coming out of retirement
Serena Williams called time on her illustrious tennis career in 2022, but a recent clip posted to her Instagram shows she may be set to make a shock comeback.
The 43-year-old claimed 23 Grand Slam titles – second only to Margaret Court's 24 – and competed in her last professional match at the U.S. Open three years ago, where she lost to Aussie Ajla Tomljanovic.

After that defeat, she bid goodbye to the sport and has avoided the temptation to make a comeback.
The following year, Williams welcomed her second child in August, and since then, she has undergone an incredible body transformation.
In recent months, the youngest of the Williams sisters has upped her social media posting, sharing various pics and videos of her incredible new physique.
But it was a video the 23-time grand slam winner uploaded on Saturday (AEDT), that truly sent fans crazy.

There has been very limited footage of the tennis star out on the court since calling time on her illustrious career, but on Saturday, she shared a clip captioned 'Still Serena' showcasing her skills, with fans all thinking the same thing; 'She's still got it'.
'Mother of 2 Serena Williams, wins grand slam in 2026! I can see it now,' one fan commented.
'Damn, she's still got it. Absolute GOAT,' another added.
'Would still beat everyone at the tour even with no training,' a third wrote.

Fans also began to hypothesise she may be eyeing a shock return to the sport, potentially on the doubles court.
'You've always been fit. But this is the fittest we've seen you since the 2012-2016 season. Just one more season, Serena?' one wrote.
'She's coming back for doubles with Vee (Venus Williams) at the Open,' another added.

Spanish tennis player Carlos Sanz also pointed to a key in the video.

Venus Williams, Serena's elder sister, is gearing up for a comeback at the DC Open in Washington this weekend with a wildcard entry, marking her first WTA Tour match since March 2024.
So could a Serena comeback be on the cards, potentially with her sister Venus? Time will tell.

Sylvanian Families embroiled in TikTok drama legal row
Sylvanian Families are at the centre of a legal battle with a TikTok creator. The beloved toys feature in videos from the Sylvanian Drama TikTok account, in which they are featured acting out adult sketches involving alcohol, drugs, cheating violence and murder but the Japanese manufacturer has taken exception to the social media content. Epoch Company Ltd have filed a copyright infringement case in the United States claiming that the videos are causing "irreparable injury" to the company's reputation. Thea Von Engelbrechten – the owner of the TikTok account that has amassed 2.5 million followers – has filed a counternotice claiming that her works are "parody". Sylvanian Families are sold as "an adorable range of distinctive animal characters with charming and beautiful homes, furniture and accessories". The toys, which have names like Freya the Chocolate Rabbit girl and Pino the Latte Cat baby, typically have wholesome adventures but the TikTok account features the toys with captions such as "My marriage is falling apart" and "My boyfriend won't post me on Instagram". Court documents filed by Epoch earlier this month with the Southern District of New York accuse Von Engelbrechten of infringing the firm's copyright without permission, causing irreparable injury to its goodwill and reputation. It states that Von Engelbrechten, who hails from Ireland, said her inspiration for the Sylvanian Drama storylines are from "cringey TV shows and early 2000s comedy". The TikTok user added: "I'm also really inspired by my cats because they are extremely sassy and self-obsessed and can be so cute, but they also have no morals when it comes to killing other animals. I try to embody that with the Sylvanians." Quizzed on why she thinks the videos are so popular, Von Engelbrechten told Fohr: "Maybe it's because it's coming from the voice of a 22-year-old who struggles with the same things as (they do). Junior Andre has named Jorja Smith and Joyner Lucas as his two dream collaborators.
